Envy three - traditional vibrator by Jopen - review by soliloquize

This was my first experience with a luxury-type toy. Sadly, it did nothing to push my desire further into luxury-land, though I will not allow the first bad purchase to stain my collection! This was also my first rechargeable toy - one of my main reasons for purchasing!

I was so excited to receive this. I opened my box and it was very well-wrapped. Huge props there. The package was beautiful, as though you could put it on display. The inside of the box was as soft as the toy itself. I do adore the smoothness of the toy. When the toy is opened, you'll immediately be greeted by the intense silicone smell, which did not fade regardless of times washed. That was a major bummer for me. It arrived (for me at least) completely dead, so I had to charge it before even being able to confirm it worked, which was around 3 hours the first time. I plugged it in with the charger I received and patiently waited.

Upon first use, it took some time to get used to the controls. The pamphlet didn't make it very easy to understand how/what each button was for, and what the purpose was. The buttons are in pretty awkward spots, and must be held down for several seconds before speeds "increase". Beware, near climaxers... sometimes your toes are curling and you tend to hold the button down harder/longer than you expect, and then the thing turns off. There is no way to turn it back on to the spot you "left off" at - also a major bummer and incredibly frustrating. Yes, with a compatible lube it does feel velvety and amazing, but the shape and difficulty to hold around the buttons is tricky with lube-soaked hands! It becomes difficult to hold it in place!

From the get-go, it seemed decently powerful. I was able to get off a few times, though always with concerted effort. It didn't make me melt. The vibrations weren't deep enough for me, just a more high, buzzy vibe. It also seemed that its "rechargeable" ability quickly faded. I would charge this probably once per week, and by a month or so of ownership, charge time would be near 4 hours, and within 10-15 minutes of use, it was very obviously dying or losing power. Around the 3rd month, it seems the power of the device itself was gone, even at a full charge. One day, I went to use the toy and turned it on. It came "on" but it did not vibrate.

Perhaps this one was a dud, or maybe I am a tough critic, but for the price, it left many frustrated experiences in my head and left me longing for a more reliable sidekick.
