Let me start off by saying that I'm not one to go crazy over the color purple. I rarely wear it, don't usually choose it over other colors. But when I opened my EdenFantasys box, I had to admit that the Purple Probe is very very pretty. The smooth, hard plastic of this toy is a deep, translucent purple that I actually like a lot. The reviews for the Purple Probe's sister toy, the Turbo Glider Blueberry, seem to be overwhelmingly positive, so I was excited to try this one out.

My one problem with this toy: it's loud. Even on the lowest setting, it can be heard through covers and over a fan. On high, I can hear it through my door. If the vibrator is under covers, a fan is on, and the door is closed, I can't hear it from outside. (I live with three roommates and I bet they were wondering what I was doing when I came out of my room and put my ear up to the door about a million times. But hey, I'm thorough.) So caveat emptor if you need discretion.

On to the highlights of the Purple Probe: while I didn't like how loud it was, the volume signifies power, and the hard plastic conducts vibrations really well. After a few minutes, the strength of the vibrations numbed my hand. The round head provides really excellent pinpoint stimulation that my clit really appreciated. The texture on the outside feels very good externally: the top has three rings below the round head and the base of the vibrator has three gill-like notches on either side. I also enjoyed inserting the head and three rings inside the first few inches of my vagina. The rings felt divine when I used an in-and-out thrusting motion. The Purple Probe is very slender, so I think it would be a very good beginner's vibe due to the ease of insertion. The vibration intensity is controlled by a dial on the base, which I found to be pretty difficult to bump accidentally during use (always nice).

I'm not turning out to be a huge fan of sexy shower funtime, but I took the Waterproof Purple Probe into the shower with me, got clean, and then proceeded to get dirty. The plastic glides nicely over skin in the water. It's completely waterproof: I took the battery cap off afterward and the battery compartment was totally dry. The seal seems sturdy, so if you play in the shower frequently, this toy is a good fit.

Since the Purple Probe is made of plastic, it's easy to clean. Soap and water, toy cleaner, and toy wipes will all do the trick. This toy shouldn't be used anally since there isn't much of a base at all.

The Purple Probe is losing one star for volume, but everything else about this toy is great. I thought the rings at the top might be hard to clean, but it turns out they're not deep enough to pose a problem. Everything wiped clean in a snap. This toy is definitely a solid addition to anyone's collection.
