Pink lace halter babydoll - babydoll discontinued by DreamGirl - review by Illusional

One of my favorite staples of lingerie, has to be the babydoll. Flowy and soft, babydolls allow you to be seductive and still undeniably soft. For us women, who feel insecure about our bodies (which is a large percentage of us) babydolls are flowy and non-restrictive and allow us a soft, ethereal piece that will leave our partners singing praises. (They should be anyways.)

This babydoll is presented by the well-known Dreamgirl company. Available in Hot Pink/Black and Black/Hot Pink color combinations, this babydoll is available in a "One Size Fits Most" and "Plus size". I picked the one where the hot pink was the dominant color, because that is my favorite color.

So, I picked Plus Size to house my curves and give me a soft, flowy but hot pink ensemble to fire up the bedroom.
Alright, this babydoll is a halter and I'm sorry ladies, those of you who are more endowed up-top this is going to put some strain on your neck. The halter ties are 21.5 inches and soft to the touch. There's a bit of strap there, so you could definitely make sure the bow is nice and tightly secured on.
The cups make a Isosceles triangle (meaning two sides are of equal length, and the third is not). The two longest sides are 8 inches and 12 inches when stretched out completely. The bottom side is 9 1/2 inches and doesn't have too much stretch to it.

The length of the entire chemise is really quite short, not including straps is about 18 inches, 20 when completely stretched out. That doesn't give me much hope, considering my torso is 21 inches. Now here comes my qualms with this babydoll.

Remember how I mentioned that babydolls are flowy and soft? Mine isn't flowy, in the least bit. When I try to pull it down over my ass, it resists against me and makes it look like I'm some fat seacow squeezing into something two sizes too small. I know I'm 5'11, I know but c'mon are you telling me that I'm just too outside of the numbers to fit this? That just doesn't make sense, I have a few other Dreamgirl OneSize Plus Size, but here's the size chart.

Even though my hips are right at the mark it shouldn't have been cutting off circulation for me. So, I have to keep it risen up above my hips and now it looks like a cami instead of a babydoll. I don't see myself wearing this one that often. I don't feel sexy in it, and because I can't pull it down, I constantly feel huge and unattractive. I had high hopes for this, because it is in fact of my favorite colors and lingerie companies.


As far as the panties go:
Unstretched- 15.5 inches
Stretched- 28 inches
Crotch lining 5.25 inches
Widest at 6 inches
Thinnest on the ass at 2 inches
1.5 inches – 2.25 inches before you even reach the ass, which is ridiculous. I know thongs are supposed to be itty bitty and sexy but I feel like I'm sludging out of a thong. Is that even possible? I give this 1 star, because it is my favorite color but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone else.


Nylon is pretty easy to care for, it can be washed in sudsy water. If you do find this fits you wonderfully, I would buy a delicates bag and toss it in there, instead of in the grind with all your regular clothing.
