These clamps are definitely not for beginners. They are made out of metal, which feels deliciously cool on contact with the skin. The ends of the clamps are covered in some sort of rubber in order to cover the metal, and they do not cushion the pinch in any way. Which is why I do not recommend them for clitoral play. These clamps are definitely strictly for nipples.

The clamps adjust with screws which make the pinch either stronger or weaker by limiting the opening of the clamps. However, they do have to be able to get a good grip around the nipple if they are to stay on -- especially when using the weight. It was, personally, difficult finding the ideal adjustment to make the clamps stay on.

The weight itself is detachable. This is good because it is very heavy, surprisingly so (according to the description it is 0.4 lbs). I suggest that when you are using the weight for the first time that you lie down and place it on your belly and raise your torso slowly to see how it feels for you. However, when the weight is removed, the chain is still available and you can pull on it for a tugging feeling.

Overall, these clamps are fantastic and really easy to figure out. But they are strong! Probably too strong for beginners.

Packaging: The packaging is clear and has a photo of a woman wearing the clamps. It is reusable, and resealable, but I personally would not use it for storage.

Storage: Any bag or box to keep it out of the dust will do. These clamps, chains, and the weight that comes with it can be made to fit into small spaces.

Cleaning: Soap and hot water should do, but if you do use this cleaning method remember to dry them before storing. Mostly, storing the clamps in a dust-free container should keep them fine.

We still use these clamps, though not as often as the similar set without the weight. They show no sign of coming apart and are as easy to adjust as ever.
