Right in the Kissa
The Kissa is a high-quality glass vibrator that offers an intense sensation to those who love textures. The vibrations are a little weak, but it's still a good toy that's easy to insert and even comes with its own storage pouch.Published: March 3, 2011
Pros:
Glass is slick, Spirals around shaft feel nice, EF-branded, Easy to hold/change vibration strengths
Cons:
Textured head is intense, Vibrations are a little weak
The Kissa is the first glass vibrator produced by EdenFantasys. While it's produced under the EdenFantasys brand name, the company that manufacturers it is Doc Johnson. The toy is made from plastic and tempered glass. It looks like the base of the toy is made from plastic, but the outer layer of the toy is made from glass layered over the plastic. The toy is about six inches long, and at the widest point, the toy is about an inch and a half in diameter. Most of the toy is about the same diameter, so it's a pretty wide toy.
The packaging for the Kissa is really basic. The vibrator comes in a clear baggie with the EF cardboard logo attached to the top. The instructions on the cardboard piece are very basic. They include the features of the toy and also include the cleaning instructions for the toy. The Kissa also includes a black, thick-velvet storage pouch. The storage pouch is a drawstring bag that, while a little thick to drawstring easily, does end up drawing closed nicely. It has a little holder piece that will keep your drawstring bag closed nicely. The bag is slightly padded with a bit of padding that will protect the Kissa from breaks and scratches.
The Kissa has an interesting texture. It's one of the reasons that, as much as I love EF, I've stayed away from it up until now. The texture makes this one really unique. The shaft of the Kissa has little spirals on it, and the head of the Kissa has little bumps. None of the bumps are painful in the least, but they are there. Both pieces of texture can be felt during use. The swirls on the shaft actually provide an interesting, pleasurable sensation. However, the bumps on the head are another story. The bumps aren't painful, but I wouldn't call them pleasurable either. They just feel a bit awkward to me. In fact, I probably would have really loved this toy if it wasn't for the bumps at the head. You can definitely feel them during use, and to me, it was kinda like a way of knowing exactly where the head of the toy was at all times, because the sensation is much more intense than the swirls, and it overshadows the pleasure of the swirls. I'm not much for intense sensation, so the nubs on the head of the Kissa were just too much for me to find enjoyable.
The Kissa does run on a AA battery. It is not included. To insert the battery, you just unscrew the cap at the bottom of the Kissa and slide in the battery. There's a piece of cardboard included inside to make the battery stay quiet during use. As a plus, there's enough room in the storage bag to slip in an extra AA battery if this becomes a favorite toy, so you never have to worry about the batteries dying mid-use.
The vibration levels are pretty soft. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that the glass is pretty thick and makes it hard to allow the vibrations to travel through it. At times, the vibration levels feel like they should be much stronger and rumblier, but they just don't come through the glass that well. The sound of the toy is deceiving, and it feels like it should be making stronger vibrations for the amount of noise it puts out, but instead, it feels like the vibrations just got muted because of the glass. Some women will be able to orgasm from the vibrations, but I'd say they are moderate at best. (I like strong toys though, so I might be biased.) On the plus-side, that means that I can easily hold the toy without feeling any sort of numbness in my hands.
The Kissa has three vibration strengths; a low, medium, and high. The low is very soft, and the high is stimulating but not strong. The Kissa makes much more noise than the vibrations that it puts out as well. The high setting could easily be heard in the same room, and you might be able to hear it through a closed door if someone was being nosy. However, turning on music does mask the sound pretty well. Changing the vibrations strength is easy too - you just press the button on the bottom of the toy, and it will change. Going through all vibration speeds will allow you to turn off the toy.

Experience
When using this toy, I actually was reminded of another toy. The Candy Cane by Doc Johnson is about the same vibrator with a different shape and only the swirls instead of the head texture as well. I feel like it was neat to be able to compare the toy. I must say that I liked the sensation of the Candy Cane better although I liked that this toy came directly from EF more.
I like how easy this toy is to insert. The glass makes it very easy to cover it with lubricant and insert it. Because it's so smooth and rigid, if you can manage to use this for g-spot pleasure, it will provide a lot of pressure. It didn't work like that for me, but some women are lucky to have shallow g-spots. This toy is vagina-safe only; it lacks a flared base for anal. The glass does seem to be pretty strong, and I'm not really worried about it breaking. If it does chip, stop using it immediately. It's compatible with all different types of lubricants, and you can wash it by using warm water and antibacterial soap.
I do like the Kissa, but I just don't like the extreme texture on the head of it. It just stands out as way too strong in my mind. However, if you are a lover of strong textures, the Kissa will be perfect for you. I love the slick feel of the glass, and I love the spirals down the shaft. I wish the vibrations were stronger, but it's hard to make a strong glass toy. Overall, it's a good choice if you love glass and want some interesting textures.

Glass experience?

This is my first toy, let alone glass toy. What are the advantages and disadvantages of other materials? Did I pick a weird starting place? I do like it, but it didn't rock my world so to speak.

glass is considered a safe material in general and is easy to keep clean

SoSexiQuote: In fact what is your over all thoughts on the product?Hi Im new here ....Personally I wouldnt spend that much for that toy more like $5-$10 with free shipping. I know a site you could score a $68 rabbit for that price -
I have that toy, and it's actually good quality. If you like glass toys, then it's a really nice one. The end has textured nubs that are definitely felt. For me it was too much texture, but some people might enjoy that. I think it's a really nice toy.

So, I noticed that the "Kissa" is a Glass vibrator by EdenFantasys. I was wondering if this is the first in a line of Edenfantasys products?

I wouldn't call it easy for insertion though, I couldn't get inside me at all!
Good review. i got one when they were giving them away as a FB deal, I like the uniqueness of red vibrating glass.
Nice review
I feel pretty much the same about this one.
Good comparison to the candy cane by doc johnson for a second option!
