Use

The Rock Star Stevie is a silicone g-spot vibrator by Doc Johnson. It is an average size that should work well for most users, as long as you don't have a very deep g-spot. The flat g-spot head can also be used to stimulate the clitoris or any other external area. There is no real flared base on this toy so it is not recommended for anal play. It has an o-ring in the battery compartment that makes it waterproof.

Material / Texture

The insertable portion of Stevie is made of silicone and the handle is made from plastic. It seems like the plastic handle gives the entire toy a slight plastic smell, but it is nothing overly strong. Silicone and plastic are both safe sex toy materials (silicone rates a 10 on the safety scale and plastic rates as an 8) and can even be used by those who have allergies without causing problems.

The silicone is on the matte side and is smooth with no texture. This makes it a toy that most users should find comfortable. There is a seam on the toy, but with lube it should not be an issue during use. Because it is matte it needs some lube to make it easier to insert and thrust. This particular vibrator is very flexible and the shaft feels like it is not solid. Some people may like this and others may not depending on whether you like/need firm pressure.

    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

The shape of Stevie is designed with g-spot stimulation in mind. It has a 4 inch insertable shaft that has a head similar to the Lelo Ella. This type of head can offer broad stimulation to the g-spot, as long as it works with your individual anatomy. Stevie has a diameter of 1.25 inches at the head, which decreases a bit in the shaft. This is an average size and therefore should work for most users no matter their level of experience.

Because it has a total length of 7.5 inches and it is a little on the loud side, I wouldn't say this toy is very discreet. You can travel with it as long as you have a bag that it will easily fit it so it is hidden.
    • Ergonomic

Functions / Performance / Controls

Stevie is powered by 2 AAA batteries. To turn the toy on you simply turn the dial clock-wise. This is the lowest speed and to increase intensity just continue to turn the dial. There are no designated speeds, it just increases as you move the dial until you get to the highest setting and can't turn it anymore. The vibrations are fairly strong and are a bit on the buzzy side. They are focused in the head of the toy, but they can be felt in the shaft as well. On low, Stevie is not too loud, but it can be heard through the covers. On high you can really hear it through the covers and possibly a closed door if there is no background noise. On higher levels it can sound a little rattly sometimes.

The o-ring near the battery compartment has kept water out of this one while in the shower and during cleaning. If completely submerged some water might get inside, so it isn't recommended for the tub or pool.
    • Easy to use
    • Kind of loud on high settings

Care and Maintenance

Stevie can be cleaned with soap and water or toy cleaner wipes. Silicone can be sterilized, but because this one has a motor in it the best thing is to use a 10% bleach solution. Boiling could ruin the motor.

Silicone should be used with water based lubes only as silicone lubes can cause the material to break down and make the toy unsafe.

This toy can be stored in a plastic bag or can be kept in a toy box. Th toy doesn't take up too much space, but the box that it comes in isn't the smallest thing out there.
    • Easy to clean

Packaging

Stevie comes packaged in a clear plastic box that has a fitted tray which slides out that holds the toy. You can see what you are getting so it isn't very discreet. It also takes up more space than necessary, so you might not want to use it for storage. The back of the packaging has a little bit of general information about the toy.
    • Not discreet
    • Recyclable

Personal comments

Although this is a descriptive review, I thought I should also mention how I felt about the product in this section. Overall I like the shape and the vibrations work best for warm up or right up until orgasm. They may not get everyone to the main even, but they will help. The shaft of this toy was a little too flexible for me to get firm g-spot stimulation, but it still worked for reaching and stimulating my g-spot. I would recommend this toy mostly to those who have used some toys and are looking for something different to try. Advanced users may not be as thrilled with this one.
