Rock Out Anywhere With Tina

The Rockstar Tina is a great addition to the toybox for people who enjoy toys with a bulged shape. The safe materials make this toy a rockstar for the price.

Use

The Tina is not a super specialized vibrator. It is just a fun shaped traditional vibrator with traditional uses. It can be used vaginally or externally. It is hard to hit the g-spot with this as there is no curve and it is not designed to do so. Also, the Tina should not be used for anal penetration as there is no flared base to make it safe.

This toy could be used solo or with a partner and by advanced and beginner users. Neither the girth nor length of this toy are intimidating but they are not inadequate for more advanced users. If you do not like bulges or bubble shaped toys, this may not be for you. The whole Rockstar line is nice for those of us who like toys to be a different color other than pink!

Material / Texture

The Tina is made from a nice body-safe silicone with abs plastic. The insertable portion of the toy is made from the silicone and is connected by a band of plastic studs (like the kind on those belts worn by rockstars and fans alike) to a plastic handle. The toy doesn't have any odor other than the faint smell of the plastic packaging, which quickly dissipates. There is no taste to the toy.

The silicone is flexible, but firm and the plastic base is hard and unyielding. There is a smooth seam that runs the length of the silicone portion, but it is far from noticeable during use. The studded texture does not add any texture to playtime, as it is not on the insertable part. The surface of the silicone is smooth and matte; the only texture is from the shape of the toy.

Design / Shape / Size

The Tina is shaped almost like a few bubbles adding a fun shape to the classic straight-up-and-down traditional vibe. The shape adds more to vaginal penetration. One can also nestle the curves against your vulva for stimulation. It works well both externally and internally, and the vibrations travel well through the silicone. The Tina is about 7 1/2 inches long total (maybe about 4 or 5 of that is insertable) and not very girthy, about 4 1/2 inches around. Overall it is a satisfying size with the addition of the bulges.

The base of the toy acts as a great handle. It is easy to hold and maneuver for thrusting or holding the toy where you want it. The little ball, or dial wheel, has a few grooves to make it easier to hold onto. My complaint with this design is that it is hard to operate one handed, as you need two hands to turn it easily, but at the same time it is hard to accidentally change the speed in the heat of the moment.

The studded band reminds me of studded belts, worn by rockstars and by those who frequent a certain punk/goth/whatever it is now store in the mall. It isn't tacky at all and adds a cute design to a simple toy. It fits the theme of "rockstar" pretty well in my opinion.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The dial wheel on the round ball part of the handle controls the toy. The toy can be adjusted anywhere in between low and high, to your own personal preference. There are no pulse patterns or bells and whistles, but in my opinion there does not need to be.

Tina runs on two AAA batteries. The plastic cap screws off and the batteries are a tight fit to get in and out, there is a piece of paper in the battery compartment telling you which way the batteries go in. Without this piece of paper it is just about impossible to tell, as there is no marks on the actual plastic of the toy.

A note on screwing the cap back on: if you screw it as tight as possible, the toy won’t turn on, so do not screw it too tightly. The threading is longer than most of my other toys and it has a nice o-ring, which both help make this a toy you can take in the shower or bath with you.

Tina is not very powerful, but is moderate in both power and noise. It is enough to get me off, but might be teasing for those who need a lot of power. It is not a very loud toy, nor super quiet. The toy is quieter when used internally or under a blanket. The noise is covered up well by the sounds of the shower when used there.

Care and Maintenance

Tina is silicone and waterproof which makes care incredibly easy. It's easy to just wash in the sink with anti-bacterial soap or toy cleaner. The toy has moving parts and plastic so it is best to not boiled or put in the dishwasher. Silicone is best used with water-based lubes, unless you want to try to patch test a silicone lube for compatibility.

This toy does collect some lint, and can be stored in a toy pouch or box.

Packaging

The box is a clear plastic box decorated with traditional tattoo designs as well as information about the toy. The packaging is cute, but not terribly discreet as you can see the toy clearly. There are no people, naked or otherwise engaged in adult activities at all featured on the packaging. There is included information on safety, what the toy is made out of and the opportunity to register for a warranty. The plastic is flimsy and does not seem like it would make very good long term storage.

Experience

Personally, I just about love every bulged toy I have tried. I was pleased to find after unboxing the toy, popping in some batteries and giving it a quick wash down that I could hop in the shower with this toy and have a lot of fun. Tina is my go-to vibe for the shower now because it is just powerful enough to get me off and quiet enough I dont have to worry about being found out. The shape also makes me think of bath time. The bulges look like bubbles and its blue too. This is so a toy I can and do take with me anywhere when the mood strikes me.
