Roller Tip?
This toy has sharp edges and does not work as a self-lube because of them. It can be used as a regular vibe, and packs a pretty good punch.Published: October 8, 2011
Pros:
good vibe settings
Cons:
self-lube is pointless
I was very interested in this vibe. It seemed new and different, and since I have a problem with being too dry I thought it sounded like a great idea. It turns out the idea was great, but the execution was not.
This vibe is very discreet, and would be a great travel vibe because most people would not be the wiser---they would simply believe you had lipstick.
The problems begin in the function. Yes, it does self-lubricate. The biggest problem lies in that the part it which lubricates has sharp edges that do not work well at all. This creates a very painful experience if you are not extremely careful. I am actually quite confused as to why these edges are here, as it makes no sense and is a very obvious problem.
To get past the sharp edges, we used this vibe with the lid on. This worked well. The vibrations were good, as was the size. The problem then was the fact that it was no longer a self-lubricating vibe---but just a normal vibe that you had to use lube with.
This is a seven setting, push button vibe. I was actually surprised by how well these worked considering the uselessness of the other functions. The button did have to be pushed a little extra at times, but it worked fairly well.
I am so confused by this toy and how it could ever work. I love the idea, but the function of this toy is not nearly what it should be. So sad.
The last problem we had was that it uses watch batteries. This is not a problem at first as they do work well and last for a decent amount of time, but once they are worn out the toy itself becomes useless as they are way too difficult to replace.

HeligaQuote: I want to know if i need to buy additional lube for the Self-lubricating roller tip massagerI own this vibe and it comes with a sample pack of lube but it's not so much in there. It'd be enough to get you started, but you might want to consider buying some of your favorite lube to put in it. -
Just buy whatever you like. No matter the consistency, the lube always manages to get really runny as it warms up.

How exactly does it "self-lubricate"? Is there a fluid inside of it? If so, what are the ingredients, if you know?
What a strange idea. I, too, am wondering about the details of how this is supposed to work.
Thanks for the review
Thanks for the warning about the edges. It sounded like a great idea at the time. Thanks.
