Run, Run Now from the Bgee

The Bgee is not worth it. The shape is alluring and the size is beginner-friendly, but once you get this thing on you will be scrambling for earplugs. Not to mention, the material isn't very nice. If you are wanting a good introduction to G-spotting, then I would go for something else. If you are looking for something to see whether or not you like P-spotting, then this might be okay, but only if you get it free. You would probably just be better off passing.

Use

Bgee is a G-spot vibrator made by the manufacturer B Swish. It has a long, slender handle and a small, curved head that is meant to target the G-spot and deliver pinpoint stimulation. This toy is marketed towards women, but we used it for an introduction into P-spotting. However, I must warn that this toy is very thin and has no flared base, so please use it anally at your own risk. It is waterproof and can be used in the tub or shower.

Material / Texture

The Bgee is made of ABS plastic with a PU coating, which is phthalate-free and rates a seven on Eden's material safety scale. Plastic is very rigid and cannot be bent. It has no give whatsoever, so it is good for applying pressure. It is very smooth and soft with very slight drag, and has no extra texture on it. There is a rigid line where the bulb is connected to the shaft. It appears that the bulb is not a natural extension of the toy, but rather attached in some way.

I chose the burgundy color, which looks just like the picture. It has a light plastic scent, but it is not overpowering or unpleasant. You can't really smell it unless you hold it up to your nose.

Design / Shape / Size

The Bgee is a long, slender toy. The main shaft is completely straight, and curves on the end where the bulb is. I measured the Bgee and got slightly different measurements than the product page; the entire length is slightly over seven inches, its insertable portion is slightly under seven inches, the shaft is slightly over two inches around, the bulb is slightly less than three inches around, and the bulb is one and a half inches long.

The shape and size of this toy are very beginner-friendly. It is sure to not overwhelm anyone starting out with G-spot or P-spot play. I really like how the shaft is so long. It makes it easy to hold on to and move. I really don't think this toy is for advanced users. It isn't anything extraordinary and doesn't provide the best vibrations, but on to that in a minute.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Bgee is powered by two AAA batteries. The batteries are inserted into the bottom portion of the toy. There is a screw cap that comes off and opens to the interior of the shaft. The screw cap may be a little tricky because it also rotates around to control the vibrations. Make sure you are unscrewing the actual cap when trying to insert the batteries and not turning the dial.

Once the batteries are inserted, you can turn on the Bgee by rotating the dial clockwise. The dial has small, vertical ridges that you can hold onto when turning. The Bgee has multiple vibration intensities, but because it is on a dial I really can't tell how many there are. There are no patterns or extra fancy settings, just vibrations. They can be felt throughout the shaft but are mostly located in the bulbous head. The vibrations are very buzzy and definitely made me feel like I was holding a low quality toy.

The Bgee is very loud. On its lowest setting it is about two and a half bees, but when you turn it up all the way it is easily four+ bees. On its higher settings the Bgee rattles really loud and is just horrible sounding. It's a buzzy nightmare. Its vibrations are strong, though. They come in at about four vrooms.

Care and Maintenance

The Bgee is easy to care for, you just wash it with soap and water or a toy cleaner, or you can wipe it down with a toy wipe. Like I mentioned, it is waterproof, so as long as the cap is secured then you shouldn't ruin the toy by submerging it. You will need to make sure you clean well inside the crack around the head and in the ridges around the cap and dial. You can also soak the toy in warm, soapy water to get rid of odors. I did this and can attest that water does not hurt it, at least so far. B Swish notes in the manual that this toy should not be cleaned with alcohol, petrol, or acetone.

The Bgee comes with a soft, black storage bag with a drawstring. It isn't as long as the toy, so you will need to put it in at an angle for it to close. I really like the bag and think it is pretty well made. It is a lint magnet, though.

PU coated plastic is compatible with water and silicone-based lubes, which is very nice.

Packaging

The Bgee comes in a long, thin box that pictures a woman in some sexy lingerie. It has some basic information on it about the toy, such as use, measurement, material, and battery needs. The information is featured in several different languages. Inside there is another box with an opened front that has a thin, plastic molding in it which holds the toy and bag. There is a manual with a little bit of information about battery insertion, cleaning, and controls. This manual has the information repeated in several languages.

I thought the packaging was okay for a toy of this price, but it definitely wasn't nice by any means.

Personal comments

I really wouldn't suggest this material for anal play. The reason I got it was because it was free with another purchase on a G-spot special a little while ago. I wanted to try P-spot stimulation with my partner, but didn't want to purchase anything really nice in case he didn't care for it. That is the only reason I went with this toy. I thought the size and shape would be perfect for an introduction to see if he really liked it. If he didn't, we could chuck it and no harm done, and if he did like it we could go and purchase something nicer. If you are in a situation like mine, then I think this toy might be a good start, even if it is a yucky material for anal.

Experience

Our experience was so-so with this toy. Its insertion was easy and the long handle was perfect for me to hold onto while stimulating my partner. The curved head was good for pinpointing his P-spot, and the range in vibration strengths was nice for easing him into those sensations. However, the Bgee was so loud and buzzy that it was kind of hard to concentrate on what we were doing. It was a good introduction, but I doubt it will be a real keeper. We may have to graduate to something better now that we've found out anal isn't out.

For the sake of review, I did try this on myself before using it on him (not after, though!), and I had absolutely zero success. It was just so loud and annoying, and the thinness just didn't do it for me. Everyone is different, though. You might have success with this one if you can get past the rattling.

Overall, I really don't think it is a good toy. It served my purpose as a free tool to test the waters, but I don't really see it as much more than that.
