Serenader of My Silky Sweet Spots

The Serenade is a great way to experience a TPR waterproof vibrator from Evolved without dishing out a big chunk of change. This vibrator has three powerful settings and amazing ribbing. Since it is waterproof, you can even use it in the tub of shower. Go make some sexual music!

Use

Evolved has a great line of products that are consistently reliable. Most of the ones I own are on their higher end and so I wondered if it was possible for the pleasure to amazing pleasure to continue even with their lower end vibrators. The answer is YES. The Serenade produces a symphony in its own right. You get the performance and quality of a higher end vibrator, without having to shell out tons of dough for it. I honestly, didn't have much negative to say about this vibrator at all. It surprised me with it's ability to produce awesome orgasms and be so hassle free.

I recommend this to most women. It is on the long side and a bit on the thick side towards the base, so women with narrow vaginal canals may find it less pleasing, but still pleasing none the less! The 3 speeds, give something for ever level of sensitivity and the waterproof ability allows for some privacy in the shower! Powered by two AA batteries that don't drain quickly, I doubt you will have much to complain about either!

Material / Texture

The Serendae is made of a medical grade and body-safe TPR. It is very resilient and flexible. TPR is slightly porous, so if sharing use a condom. At first the material has slight chemical smell, but this quickly goes away with a few washes. I recommend washing the toy before use. The surface is smooth but does have some drag, so I suggest using at least a little bit of lubrication to ease insertion. The more solid parts of the toy are firm, yet still plush, offering some give. The rest of the toy is made of a sturdy plastic. It has a matte feel which helps for grip if it gets coated in lubricant.

Design / Shape / Size

The design of the Serenade is really pretty. With its gradual valleys with ribbing, it is a treat just to look at. It comes in two colors, pink and blue. I got the blue and it is true to the picture in hue and shininess. Seriously, this thing catches the light and it looks like it is made of glass with the way it reflects light! Since the material is clear, you can see the large bullet in the top.

This vibrator is a good size, being 8 1/2" long and 6" of that is insertable. The vibrator increases in circumference with each of the four ribbed bulbs: 4", 4 1/2", 5, 5 1/4". It bends for the first three bulbs, but then the rest is the plastic housing for the controls, wiring , and batteries. The end is somewhat flared making it ok for anal play. The circumference on the end is almost 6" around. The tip is rounded making it easy to insert, but after the third bulge is the thinner material and the plastic. I would not insert past this.

The design is not discreet so if you are bashful about your toys, be sure to house this guy in the package. It is waterproof though, so you can take it to the bathroom for some privacy in the shower or tub. Being kind of large, it isn't ideal for travel and won't fit in most purses, without taking up a lot of space.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Like most Evolved vibrators, the Serenade is very easy to operate and hold using the base. There is a single push button on the bottom that turns the toy on and starts it through the first of three settings:

1. A fairly quiet and a slightly higher than moderate steady vibration level. This could be used for warm up or if you are really sensitive, you could probably finish from this.
2. A high level of steady vibration that is quiet inside the body, but is loud enough to be heard through a door, if someone was close.
3. An intense level of steady vibration. I was surprised by the power of this last level! It is very loud, and can be read through a door.

I liked the second level the best for clitoral stimulation; third was too much. Internally, I could barely feel the first and preferred the last of the vibration levels. I think there is a level for everyone in this vibrator.

Care and Maintenance

To operate, you need two AA batteries. The bottom unscrews and a housing slides out for the batteries to go into. It is easy to figure out and screw the cap back on. The TPR material is safe to use with silicone and water based lubricants. To wash, just use, mild soap and water or a toy cleaning spray. Let it dry before putting it back in the case.

Packaging

The Serenade comes in a gorgeous metal tin ( if you have the Symphony Edition). The top is clasped on by two metal pieces that were easy to remove. Through the top you can see the toy and the words 'EVOLVED, Waterproof Serenade-Symphony Edition'. Inside, the toy is laying in a foam. There is also a card for the warranty information. The bottom of the tin has information about the toy and the companies website appears on the side. It really does make a nice gift and since the tin is durable, it will protect your toy while you have it.

Experience

The Serenades ribs felt great! It took a little warm up by going slow, but then I was able to thrust her. Since the vibrations can be felt throughout the toy, it was great internally and clitorally. I tried the Symphony anally, but only very shallow (just up to the top of the third bulge). Any way I used it, it felt amazing. It was a bit large though, and I didn't use the entire toy vaginally.

I am giving it 4 stars because the design is gorgeous and feels great, the power is strong, and the packaging is wonderful-not to mention the price is awesome too! I do not like how the material gets thinner around the plastic and that the toy is very loud, but those things can be over looked. I wish I could give it 4 1/2 stars. I hope that this toy holds up just as well as the the others in the line, because I liked using it a lot!
Follow-up commentary
I still think the Serenade is an excellent product and I hope some of you grabbed it while it was on sale, but for me...it is collecting dust. While it is a great product it just doesn't stand out all that much in my large collection.

The material has NOT clouded as much like the other Evolved toys I had which is awesome. But I wonder if this is because it got less use and was exposed to less cleaning, lubes, etc. I also did not notice that batteries drained quickly with this vibrator. When I did use it, it was fairly long sessions and I have not had to change the batteries yet.

I tend to shy away from ripples, but this one looks less menacing than the Cupid Ripples I got for free. I may end up trying it. Thanks for sharing!
