Use

Practice makes perfect! SinFive designed a futuristic looking kegel exerciser for vaginal use. The Emigi is great for any girl looking to rev up her sex life. Even if you aren't looking to rev things up, you need to build good pelvic floor muscles, because it will help to stave off incontinence and a sagging uterus. Really, who wants those things to happen? The Emigi makes exercise fun, so no excuses!
It has a wonderful shape and weight, so it makes a great item for a beginner or a kegel expert.
I wear my Emigi every day. It is part of my morning routine. I slip it in during my shower and I'm good to go for about a 4 hour period. Start small and work your way up. I had to build up to get to a 4 hour goal.
Dr. Berman said on her radio show that a woman should do 300 kegels a day! Especially if you are getting older, are currently pregnant, or have had a baby, which covers a lot of us gals. So get started!

Material / Texture

The Emigi is made of WTP, which gives this toy a very smooth finish with very little drag on the skin. It feels great, kind of like satiny silicone toys. The matte surface of the toy really helps you feel it inside an retain it, as opposed to some of the smooth ben wan balls that are as slick as glass. Also, unlike many ben wan balls this little mouse has some give to it, so it is way more comfortable to wear while you going about everyday life. The little bit of spring it has also allows for easy insertion and retrieval.

WTP is a type of Theremoplastic, which is phthalate and latex free. Sinfive blended the base material with an anti-microbial agent to keep things nice and hygienic. The other hygienic feature I liked is that the Emigi is that it is non-porous so it won't absorb odors or anything else. I think these features are particularly useful for exerciser toys, because of the frequent use they get. At first I figured the anti-microbial properties of the toy would give it a chemical smell, but there is absolutely no smell at all even after 6 months of use. I also was worried that the toy would discolor because it was partly white. That isn't a problem either, mine looks brand spanking new.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

The design is like no other exerciser out there. Its shape makes this toy easy to insert. It is futuristic-looking and very discreet. It is discreet because I can't figure out what it looks like. I call mine the mini mouse... It looks like a mouse with a tail, or a peanut, or a dog toy, or a key chain, or a car air freshener. I don't know what the Emigi is supposed to look like and it doesn't matter because the shape works for me better than exerciser balls and ben was have. I like that it is one solid piece, so my vagina doesn't have to juggle 2 balls at once.

Emigi is about the length of a tooth pick not including the tail (2 1/2"). The diamiter is 1 1/4 inches. It isn't too big for me. Inside it has a small free moving ball bearing (3.4 oz or about 3 AA batteries in weight), so when you are not actively using your kegels, your body will have to adjust to the changing weight to keep the toy inside of your body. I personally have not felt the weight moving while I walk, so no added stimulation from jumping jacks. (That would be the only way I would enjoy aerobics!) I am hopeful with more kegel training I will get to the point I can enjoy the moving wights.

The retrieval cord is the only fault of the Emigi. It is also made of the thermoplastic, but this makes for a nagging string. It doesn't bend very well with your body and it is far too long. However I don't see why one couldn't trim it to fix that problem. The cord really is a nuisance.

You can get the Emigi in 5 different colors, with a white tip. These are fuchsia (which I have), red, black, pink, and purple. They are all vibrant and look good with the contrasting white head.

Performance

I couldn't be more pleased with the performance of this exerciser. It has improved my consciousnesses about my genitals greatly. I was doing kegels incorrectly forever and didn't know it until I used this toy. After about two weeks of regular use, I could separately use my kegels from my anal muscles and do the exercise correctly. It really is amazing the difference this toy makes on your kegel routine.

I prefer this type of exerciser because it is one piece and it is the most form fitting and comfortable one I have tried. Also, because it has a retrieval cord it makes removal simple and less messy. I know I have mentioned that having the WTP cord was a bad thing, but I have anxieties about having toy malfunctions, so I don't really mind the stiff cording because it is so well attached. Actually, I think the cord was threaded through the bottom of the toy, so it makes for a very sturdy construction and I doubt it will ever come out of the toy or snap in two.
    • Easy to use
    • Comfortable

Care and Maintenance

Care is pretty straight forward, mild soap and water or toy cleaner. You can use any water or silicone based lube with WTP, but don't use oil-based, which can damage the material. The Emigi can be stored anywhere, even out in the open because lint and dust don't stick to it and its very discreet.
Also, I made it a habit to inspect the cord while cleaning it, for my peace of mind, which is a good habit for everybody to get into. When doing toy inspection I look for the cracks and joints of a toy, because germs can get down and be missed by cleaning. This toy does have said joint in the middle where the two different colors meet. Upon very close inspection, it looks like it was sealed with an epoxy, so it isn't a huge issue, but be aware of it when you give it a cleaning.

One last thing about care - the anti-bacterial blend should not ever be bleached or boiled. Because of the anti-bacterial WTP you shouldn't ever have to!
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

[[This is a good way to go up to an Extremely Useful rating. What kind of packaging does this have? What does it look like, what is it made of? Are there pictures on it? Does it have info or writing on it? Are there instructions/warnings/etc? If so, what do they say? Can you store the toy in the box?]]

[to be honest i threw it all way and didn't really look at it, and it was so long ago I don't rember anything well enough to write about it as fact, you live and leran. I was just thinking what a good thing to have when I was first drafting this. duh moment]

Personal comments

This toy has improved my sex life far more than any other toy I have purchased in the past. I have noticeably stronger orgasms and more frequent ones. I can feel much finer textures of my toys. My husband as also noticed a pleasurable difference since I started using the Emigi. Not to mention my uterus isn't saggy.

Experience

The design really does disguise this toy's purpose. On vacation my mom and sister discovered the mini mouse looking toy in my suit case. My mom kind of looked at it, then picked it up and put it in my daughter's play pen, just like it was a misplaced teether or something!
Follow-up commentary
I knew it would only be a matter of time before I was able to begin feeling the weights moving around in my Emigi and I was correct (house work is much more interesting). I love this toy even more today than when I wrote my review. Still 5 stars!

Thanks for the review! I can't decide if I want to try these or a more expensive pair by my favorite brand as my first kegel balls!

  • Do you get cramps with Emigi?
    • I've noticed that when I use the Emigi kegel exerciser, I have very mild cramps. Gas anyone else noticed this, or am I just crazy?

Could it be touching your cervix and irritating it?

  • Kegel exercisers
    • Which is the best kegel exerciser? I've read good things about the sinfive emigi and luna pleasure beads and hte ami system. I would like some opinions on hte best one. I've had two children vaginally so it's probably about time I start toning things up.
    • As a male I find the Pure Plug anal toys from Njoy to be good for doing kegels. I suppose if you were a woman you could do a DP kegel routine!(nerd)
    • The Emigi seems like a great way to start! I really like my Loa, but they're kind of large! The Ami seems like the best (but is a bit pricey) because you get 3 and can steadily increase the difficulty!

  • Why is it only safety rating 8?
    • The material section says that it is non porous, phthalates free, and anti-bacterial, so why is the safety rating only an 8? I bought this and the g-ki for my birthday and they are arriving today, but I just became worried that I might have a yeast infection or something. I'm so disappointed that I might have to wait to use my new toys, but I don't think it is safe to use them if I have one, right? I don't want to contaminate my toys?

    • You can't boil it! Toys that you can boil get a higher safety rating!

  • Am I using Emigi right?
    • I just got this and I've used it for a couple of days. I feel nothing. Absolutely nothing when it's in me. The only time I do is when I have it placed closer to my vaginal opening and the feeling isn't pleasurable and the thing slips out. How far in is this toy supposed to go? And am I supposed to feel it or is it still going to work if I don't?

I believe it sits right inside - I tried it closer to my opening too but it was mighty uncomfy. I felt the exact same as you. Emigi does NOTHING for me. It's like I'm not even using it. In my opinion, it's useless. But a lot of people love it.
It was my first kegel toy and I was disappointed.

But then I bought the Lelo Luna Beads which are pricey but SOOOOOOO worth it.
Any slight movement and you will feel the internal balls moving with ease! They are fabulous (inlove)
I find the girdle is too long for me so I just use one of the balls inserted on it's own. I cut the string off mine cause I find them easy to push out using ya muscles. One day I must try inserting 2 balls, but I'm not sure there's enough room to have both in, for me.

If you want to feel the internal balls moving around, I highly suggest Luna Beads! I LOVE mine.

Thanks, but the last thing I will do is spend more money on something that may not work. Besides, the Luna beads are too big for me. I've never had anything bigger than 4 inches in circumference in me so that's my limit.

If I put Emigi in and gently pull on the string to get it to move a little more down, I can feel some pressure and it feels pretty good. It also doesn't fall out unless the tail end is further towards my vaginal opening.

I don't know if it's all because I'm too loose or my muscles are too weak, but I am hoping that with a little more practice, I will get this thing to work.

  • SinFive Emigi Kegel Improvements
    • So I was ready another review of the SinFive Emigi and am thinking of getting this for my wife. Obviously the purpose of it is to strengthen your kegels so I thought it might be good to make an area where those that have used it can post back about how it has or hasn't helped them.

I almost didn't get the Emigi because several things I read said about it being for beginners. I dont feel like a beginner,..but I guess I am because it can slip out on me on occasion,...so I guess I have kegel work to do,..... but two 9 lbs babies will do that ;-) Feels good, comfortable

  • WTP or Elastomer?
    • I sat down this evening and wanted to write a review of my Emigi, and started to read carefully the instructions, where it said it was made of elastomer. However, in the product description, it says it is made of WTP, which a type of thermoplastic.

I can only see Sinfive products that fall in that material category, and I was wondering if it called WTP by Edenfantasys because it has those antimicrobial properties and received a bonus point in the material safety scale (8 for WTP, and 7 for Elastomer)? I'm asking because some of you know that I write product sheet about materials on my blog, and I'm not to sure how to deal with that material. It looks like I could include a note about WTP in a main page about 'Elastomer', but I'd like to make sure i would be correct. However, I can't find what it stands for, and if anyone knew, it would really be helpful.
    • I'm not sure... but I would try contacting the manufacturer. Furthermore, I would always go with the information provided with the toy rather than on a website where someone might input the wrong info.
    • oh... I just realized what WTP was.... What The Pfuck!? Okay, that was lame, but I crack myself up.

  • It Looks So Cute And Tiny!
    • I can't help it, i want one. But... only 1 review? Will there be more? Who has one? I'm just kinda disappointed there's no blue one. The pictures make the purple one seem dark, but others have shown it to be lighter and more blueish. Anyone have the plum one and can tell for sure what it looks like?

I also like the fact it's small and less intimidating than smart balls, which I have always debated getting. For a decent price and a small compact shape, I might have to get these and see what all this kegal exercising is all about. :P

Anyone else gonna pick one of these little peanuts up? :P (It looks like a peanut to me, lol.)
