Shockingly Disappointed

The concept and idea of having a neat little e-stim unit is a wonderful idea.  However, the lack in quality, and probably the need to be able to mass produce as cheaply as possible, hurt what could have been a great product. No probe should have deep crevices that get into the product and nothing that involves electricity should have terrible controls.

Use

This product is intended to provide some stimulation through various sensations a mild current can provide.

I would not recommend this for the timid or for those who question if they are ready, because if something goes wrong (more on that later), it will be a completely turn off.  More advanced users would probably want to skip this altogether and get something a bit more detailed.

A micro current can be used for a wide variety of benefits, from accelerating healing to sexual stimulation, with no negative side effects unless burned.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

Okay, I will start with some positives. The unit comes in a nice LITTLE suitcase with a foam lining, pre-cut for all the pieces that come with the unit (very nice touch). The paint on the case was faded on the corners and bald, revealing the silver underneath but its nothing a black sharpy couldn't cover up.
Some may consider keeping the kit just for the case.

Moving on...

Everything else in the kit is on the cheaper side, even the wires look like something you would replace if you had gotten it with anything else. The nipple clamps are the cheapest looking thing in the kit, with clamps that will only work for the most sensitive of nipples. They are not tight at all and will fall off if the person moves. The plug is tiny, like the length of my index finger, and has other problems I will list under maintenance.

The unit is a nice size but feels cheap; the buttons feel like you are about to break them with every press and don't activate their functions properly, making controlling the unit very troublesome.
    • Flimsy
    • Mixed material

Performance

So let me say this, the problems with the craftsmanship effect the performance a great deal. Pressing a button should have a effect, but I often had to press a button multiple time to get a result.  The icons do not display properly and there is no indication of what could be wrong; one must check and recheck the wires just to have to check again in order for the icons to appear on the screen. When the unit decides it's going to work, one must deal with the function not working as the "instructions" say. Even then, the icons seem to only appear when everything is set perfectly and the person does not move.

At one point, I gave myself a nasty shock when the unit decide to kick on at random (when a button wasn't being pressed). I believe this was a delayed reaction to me pressing the button about forty seconds prior.
    • Difficult to put on / use
    • Does not work well

Care and Maintenance

Storing is easy due to the case but cleaning is a major problem.

I didn't bother using the probe for the simple fact that I was going to return the unit.  You can see gaps between the metal plating and the plastic surrounding it.  Since this unit cannot be washed, this leads to material being wedged in between the gaps. Maybe with some q-tips it can be cleaned but never restored to the way it was.

The rest of the unit can be simply wiped off with care.
    • Hard to clean

Packaging

The instructions are a joke: a small piece of paper with maybe two paragraphs of instructions. Imagine a cheap piece of furniture with a crappy set of instructions and ton of parts, except it involves getting currents sent through your body.

The best thing about the packaging is the case. It's aluminium and wouldn't survive mild impact but it's cute and different.
    • Good for storage
    • Minimal

Personal comments

Even after my bad experience, I believe there is great fun that can be had with electrical stimulation, but I would not try this unit even if offered a replacement for free.

Experience

Let me say this, my boyfriend is an acupuncturist and knows a thing or two about tens units and stim machines. When I presented this to him, he laughed at its quality and in use he say it wasn't safe.

I always try not to knock a product when I do my reviews but this was pretty bad. I got shocked and it hurt a lot, causing me to never want to use this unit again, but I tried again with great difficulty in order to write a review.

My case may be rare and maybe my unit was defective but just knowing the quality now, I would not order it again.
Follow-up commentary
I sent it back due to random shocking and instability.

Highly recommend something of better quality, I have dabbled with stim-play since trying this kit and there is no denying it was not the best device.
Don't be afraid to explore electro play, just make sure you choose a quality toy.

Thanks for the review this sounds like a defective unit. I would create a support ticket and return this item and ask if anyone else has had this issue. I have this unit without the kit and so does my brother an we enjoy ours with no issues.
