Siri - My Quiet Love Affair

This external vibrator is well worth the price just to be able to travel with it, use it even when privacy could be a concern, and that it doesn't require batteries to use. I love the feel of the silicone and the charging time is super quick! Don't road trip without this pleasure giver!

Use

The Siri is a tiny handheld vibrator meant to tease external parts of the body. I definitely wouldn't recommend trying to insert this little thing anywhere. Not only could it be lost (especially in the anal canal) but it could also be permanently damage from fluid getting inside the toy where it doesn't belong.

Tickle your breast area and tease your genitals with this rechargable vibrator. The Siri does not discriminate between gender expression so there's no rule that says you have to have a clitoris to enjoy it.

Also, as I will go into detail about later, it's a very quiet toy. So it's a great choice for those who live with family, have kids, or have a roommate and need some sensual pleasure without waking up the neighborhood!

Material / Texture

The Siri is part ABS plastic (white) and a buttery smooth silicone (color part). The feel of the silicone is comparable to that of the Budding Bliss that I reviewed before. It's not tacky or sticky at all (read: not a lint magnet!). It's a beautifully smooth silicone that won't disappoint the material snobs like me out there.

One important note is that combining these two materials with a seam, and the open charging port at the end of the toy, makes this toy NOT waterproof at all. In fact, it's not even splash proof. Take special care when cleaning your Siri because it could be the last time you're able to turn it on if water gets through the docking port, behind the buttons, or inside the seam. I recommend using a toy cleaning wipe, gentle spray, or wet clothe.

Design / Shape / Size

Back the toy! It's very smooth, all curves and no hard edges, and ergonomically shaped. It felt great to hold against my body. But I have to say that it being so small and smooth made it hard to keep a hold onto during play. Especially when trying to hold onto it without changing the pattern or intensity accidentally. But thankfully, I found that it wasn't easy to press the buttons in without meaning to.

Now when I used it the first time, I had figured that the vibrations would be the strongest at the very tip of the silicone but in reality, I felt that the underside “ridge” was what I was primarily using for more sensation. But at least there are different levels of sensations even outside the predetermined settings just by changing which part of the toy you use for contact.

But whether you use the ridge, the tip, or turn it on its side, the vibrations continue all over the toy and the entire thing is small enough to work for just about anyone and fit in those tiny areas. I found that the larger head of my wand (even though it's miniature) was awkwardly big to use clitorally. It was a great change to have a toy whose vibrations more easily reached the area of interest.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Siri has an impressive six patterns, starting always at a steady vibration. And each and every pattern can be increased or decreased in intensity, which is more options than the usual vibrator. There are seven levels of intensity to choose from as well. And have I mentioned that you can lock the buttons for travel so that it won't start vibrating in your purse, pocket, luggage? Awesome! It took a little while for me to get used to the four buttons and how to use it so I recommend using the instruction book and/or the instructional videos here on EF to help you out if you get one.

But to give you a quick overview, you hold down the (+) button to turn it on. It starts at the lowest intensity of steady vibration. You can either change the pattern by pressing the (^) button, you can increase the vibration intensity with the (+) button, or interchange between both! With the opposite buttons, you can scroll back down in intensity and pattern.

As for the vibrations, it's definitely stronger than the battery-operated, pocket rockets I've tried, and slightly more intense than the Little Chroma. But before you intensity queens and kings get excited, it's still no contender for any wand massager. But what it does have that wands don't is quiet! Even at the highest settings it's barely louder than a cell phone's hum. I have no problems using it in a quiet house when I know others are home because there's no way someone outside the room would be able to know what I am doing.

And as for my favorite parts, there's a few interests tidbits worth sharing. First, the instructions state that the toy will take 2 hours to charge and hold that charge for about 4 hours. I actually found that mine charges quicker than 2 hours to full and has lasted for days without a subsequent charge (yes, I used it at least once a day every day for at least 30 minutes each). So I am impressed with it's battery life on top of the fact that it doesn't require batteries to be purchased!

Second, the last pattern on the Siri is wonderfully unique and very effective. It's randomly switches between medium and high intensity in a steady vibration at odd intervals. I swear that the pitch created by the hum of the toy almost sounds like the melody of a song. Maybe that's just me...
    • Discreet sound
    • Multiple settings
    • Rechargeable

Care and Maintenance

Though I've mentioned it prematurely, this toy is a little high maintenance when it comes to care because it's not even splash proof and water can easily get in the buttons or charging port. Take caution when cleaning it and only use toy cleaning wipes, gentle sprays, and wet clothes to keep your toy lasting.

Storing, thankfully, is a lot easier. The little satin pouch works great to keep it from getting dirty between washes and the box is awesome for storage to keep it from rattling around in a drawer.

And as with all silicone toys, there is an obligatory warning in the product manual against using silicone lubricants with this or any other silicone toy. Though if you insist on using your favorite silicone lube, just make sure to do a test first on a small spot first (at your own risk!).
    • Easy to store
    • High maintenance

Packaging

Very few of my toys have I been this excited about receiving. I was on pins and needles waiting for the package to arrive. And when it finally did, I was not disappointed. The Lelo packaging, as many know, is gorgeous. I'm not familiar with the traditional form they used to use but I will say that the current internal packaging is still beautiful enough for gift-giving. I even found myself not wanting to throw away the exterior color-matching box that the black box comes in.

It also comes with a cute white satin bag (no padding) for keeping it clean between uses. There is a little booklet of their 1 year warranty and a separate one for their 10 year guarantee. I was particularly impressed with the product information provided, in several languages. Then there's the AC wall charger and the Siri itself.

What I chose to do was to throw away the cardboard and plastic form the product came in inside the box and just use the box as well as the pouch for storage. And whenever I decide to travel, there will still be enough room in the box to through some lube in as well.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Good for storage
    • Would make a nice gift

Personal comments

I know this is just another small vibrator to many, but to me this was the answer to my needs! Now that I'm going through a life change and find myself with my family again, even for just a while, I am unable to pull out all my loud, crazy toys whenever I want. So when people are home and I really need some personal 'me' time, I now have a quiet, yet powerful, discreet vibrator with plenty of variation to keep me interested. I can't compare it to the other similar products listed at the bottom of this review, as I don't own those yet, but this is one of only two vibrators I own that I will be reaching for to keep me satiated while I'm sharing my living quarters and is worth owning for anyone out there in a similar situation.

Follow-up commentary
I still really love this Siri-ously quiet vibe. I think that's my favorite part of this toy, actually. I have no fears or hesitations about using this toy when others are in the house so I don't have to deny myself the pleasure of solo time. The rechargeable feature means I don't have to buy batteries - ever!

The only downside is how finicky it is to clean since it's not water-safe at all. But I've come to terms with it and simply use wipes or a washcloth. As long as you're willing to work around it's high maintenance cleaning this one is a pure winner!

  • Why Did The Lelo Siri Get Such Mixed Reviews?
    • Why Did The Lelo Siri Get Such Mixed Reviews? Was is based on expectations of comparing it to the other Lelo line? Other comparable products? Price point. Was there over heating/ charging issues. How does the vibration field/ strength compare to the Liv & Mona. Who (here) has tried all three?

I wish there was a better video review. The one posted is flashy, but not very informative. It would be really nice if someone would compare the difference between the three Lelo toys i have listed.

*edit- looks like the main complaints are non-waterproof & lacking Vroom for some. Does that pretty well sum it up?
    • lol I feel like you answered your own question. um, all I can say is reread the reviews. I know that what I gathered was that it heated up super quick and it was incredibly uncomfortable or down right painful for some.
    • The Siri has 31 reviews up, 20 of which give it 5 stars, 8 give it 4 stars, and only 3 go lower. That seems pretty positive to me. :) Though truly, you're not really going to get a better answer to your questions than from the reviews themselves.

  • If you had to choose one lelo product what would it be
    • So I've seen in other discussions a wide variety of choices. I want to know if you could only have one Lelo product which would it be and why. Do you already own one?
    • Quote: So I've seen in other discussions a wide variety of choices. I want to know if you could only have one Lelo product which would it be and why. Do you already own one?
I have the Soraya and it's one of my favorites (though I do wish it were a bit stronger). I also have the Nea and my Luna beads are shipping as I type.

I have my eye on the Elise but it's not something I'd die without, you know? Lelo has some motion sense products that just launched that work like a Wii controller I think that's pretty freaking awesome but I'm waiting on some reviews to come out first. I'm also kinda like the Alia but if the motion sense reviews are good I'd pick those up before the Alia.

I will likely never buy a Siri because I need intense vibrations not lots of patterns.
    • Mona! I have Siri and Ella and they're great but I am soo exciting about buying the Mona in my next order. I've wanted that one for ages and ages :)

  • Zini Seed or Lelo Siri?
    • I've been on the market for a new, strong clitoral vibrator. I've been an avid Hitachi user for a few years, but have been slowly weaning myself off that and have been using the Lelo GiGi as my go-to clit toy.
Although I really like the GiGi as a clit toy vibe, I know it's not for that and sometimes the vibrations seem really weak to me. I've been looking at both the Seed and the Siri, but how do these two compare? Does someone have both? Which one is stronger, etc?
    • I don't have the seed but I do know that the Siri isn't super strong. And there aren't any reviews for the Seed up yet, are there?
    • There is some Seed reviews. Both vibes sound good, but I'd go with the Seed. I just ordered the Womolia which is supposed to be quite strong as well.

  • I have a discount for a LELO toy...which should I get?
    • I have a 40% off discount to Lelo's website, but I don't know what to get. I already own the Ina, the Ella, and the personal moisturizer. Of course I want EVERYTHING, but at this point I've narrowed it down to a few things. The new Mia, the Luna Beads, the candle/massage oil, or maybe the Siri. I've been buying lots of sex toys lately which is why I'm leaning towards the Luna Beads because they're cheaper and I don't own any Kegel exercisers yet. What would you do with a discount as awesome as this one?

If you haven't already used it or it hasn't expired, I'd go with the new Mia, it's supposed to be twice as strong!
Also, how'd you get such an awesome coupon?
    • I'm curious about what you ended up choosing! And yes, that coupon is awesome!

  • Waterproof?
    • Is this waterproof or splashproof?
    • Quote: Is this waterproof or splashproof?
No it's not waterproof and i baby mine to much to test but because the charger port is completly open it is likely that water would go in and then she would die, and that would be awful because the lack of water tolerance is her only fault. so i'm going to say no to splashproof as well.
    • Okay thanks! I was a bit confused about that. :)

    • I would go check out the reviews on the Siri. It includes the reviewers personal experience with the Siri, ans you can get multiple opinions that way.

I haven't gotten a chance to do my review yet but I have to say that it's amazing, almost silent deep and rumbly very compact and conveniant to hold, i guess the real deciding factor between this and a lot of others is how deep of a vibration you like/need and how much you're willing to pay for it, i love mine and have not a regret in the world for getting it, though to be fare with coupons and points I got it a lot cheaper than i would have otherwise.
