Slick And Natural

This product is a great lubricant. It feels very slick and clean, and is easy to bring out with a partner. It's high quality and gentle on the skin. It works very well for manual, partner and solo sex with a (non-silicone) toy. It lasts a long time without reapplication, and does not need to be washed off. Pink is versatile - it can be even used as a skin moisturizer or a frizz tamer.

useful review
I tested out many lubricants before I finally found Pink silicone formula. This is the lube for me! I've found that water based lubes are great if you're looking to flavor an oral experience, but for manual or vaginal intercourse, the water formulations I've tried dried out too quickly. Pink takes care of all that!

It applies and remains clear, colorless, odorless, and tasteless. It feels very slick and slippery, about the consistency of natural lubrication. It's fairly thin, but it is more viscous than water. It lasts well for manual stimulation (both male and female), and only needs to be re-applied during sex after an extended time. Of course, this will also vary based on your own lubrication. It doesn't clump or get sticky. I have tried a "luxury" silicone formulation with nearly the exact ingredients, and Pink feels just the same at less than half the cost. It's a great value and a little bit goes a long way, so it may last longer than an equal volume of water-based lube. Personally, I do not recommend silicone-based lubes for oral sex because although it is flavorless, the silicone does not dissolve in saliva and leaves a filmy feel in the mouth. The benefit to being water insoluble is that Pink may be used in the shower, tub or pool without dissolving. Pink lube is packaged elegantly and discreetly enough that it can stay out on a dresser: the larger size bottle is a beautiful clear, cube-shaped glass, while the smaller sizes come in oval, frosted plastic which makes dropping the bottle no problem. This is my biggest complaint about the product: the slippery texture can make the bottle a little tricky to handle, especially the pump-style dispenser. There is little to grip and occasionally the pump gets stuck and requires some maneuvering to dispense the lube. That being said, I have not had any problems with spills or leakage.

Pink is a welcome addition to solo sex with a penetration toy or to add some intensity when using an external vibrator or massager. Since this lube contains silicone, it does not play well with silicone toys - use a condom over a silicone toy if you want to use it with this product. Pink Silicone gets along well with latex condoms, including making the condom easier to apply if you add a drop of lube in the tip before you get started. Pink may not be an optimal product for use during anal sex, since it is on the thin side. Pink silicone may be an option for people sensitive to ingredients in water-based lubes, because aside from the aloe, the silicone ingredients are inert and are not absorbed into the body. Sweetener-free, so will not encourage yeast infections for those prone to them.
Experience
The aloe in the ingredients does seem to moisturize the skin, and I haven't experienced the need to immediately shower the lube off after using it. If you want to clean it off, a little soapy water will do the trick. Aside from its intended purpose as an intimate lubricant, Pink works very well at soothing the skin after shaving, smoothing down flyaway hairs in a pinch, and moisturizing and protecting really chapped skin. It can also be used for massage. I keep a tiny vial of it in my purse - you never know when it may come in handy!

I keep seeing conflicting opinions on this for anal. Seems like it warrants more investigation!

Coralbell is correct - it is however a really great silicone lube in my opinion :) It's one of my favorites.

  • What toys are not safe with silicone lubes?
    • Venus Fable
I heard that certain lubes can't be used with certain toys. Can someone tell me how this works?

Hi Venus - basically, silicone lube and silicone toys are not compatible because they react with one another (silicone may also leave stains on bedsheets and upholstery), but water-based lubricant is fine with any material and usually won't stain anything.

Why would anyone use silicone-based then, you might ask. Silicone-based tends to last longer and not dissolve in water (great for a jacuzzi quickie), whereas water-based is easily washed away or absorbed, which means it won't be as effective as silicone-based over long sessions. Silicone-based also has a nice silky feel, which some people prefer.

      Hope this helps!
    • Other considerations: Silicone lube should not be used with cyberskin or jelly toys, either, as it will melt them. When using lube with condoms or anything containing latex, avoid lube with any kind of oil.

Basically, it's a good idea to stick to water-based lube for use with any kind of toys!
