Smart Balls by Fun Factory do not Disappoint

I have been thoroughly enjoying my Smart Balls! They seem to work well as vaginal exercisers. They also have the added benefit of increasing your awareness, of your genital area, when they are being used. Meaning, they make you horny. Can't beat that! (insert bad pun here.)

Use

I am completely in lust with my Smart Balls; these things are awesome! They are designed to be inserted and worn with the purpose of strengthening your pelvic floor muscles. They can also be used to maintain a constant, subtle awareness of your genital area. They are definitely not safe for anal use, as they have no way to prevent getting lost inside; aside from the small string, which I wouldn't trust for anal retrieval.

This was my first toy in the ben-wa category, so I didn't really know what to expect. I was a little nervous about the size. So, I sat down on the edge of my bathtub, lubed up the top of the upper ball, and gently pressed first one, then the other in. The lower ball helped push the upper one up to where it needed to be. It definitely felt strange! I stood up, half expecting them to pop out, but they didn't.

Once I started moving around, they seemed to settle in more comfortably, and didn't interfere with my movement at all. In fact, it felt pretty freaking awesome! Just a constant, shifting pressure inside. I could definitely feel my muscles clenching around the balls, but not enough to be annoying. I don't know yet if they will actually strengthen anything, but the way they are working it seems like they should.

Generally, I leave the balls in for a couple hours, but you could leave them in less. I've heard of some women wearing them all day, but I don't know if that would be a good idea.

Material / Texture

Smart Balls are made of hypoallergenic elastomed, which is not quite as safe as silicone but still non-porous, phthalate-free and easy to clean using soap and warm water. However, it can't be boiled to disinfect so it shouldn't be shared.

The material is very stiff, having almost no give. It is relatively smooth, but not smooth enough to allow easy penetration without lubrication.

Design / Shape / Size

One of the coolest things about this toy is the design. Smart Balls come in a wide variety of colors; I bought the vanilla/candy violet. They consist of two round balls joined together by a small, string-like strip. Each ball has a smaller ball inside, which, if you shake it in your hand, you can faintly hear and feel rattling around inside.

There is a string (made of elastomed or silicone, I'm not sure) attached to the lower ball for easy removal. I was a little surprised by the size of the balls when I saw them for the first time; they're a bit larger than I expected. They also have some heft to them. I thought at first that they would be too big, but they were fine for me. I imagine, however, that they may be too large for some women. Check out the 1:1 before you buy.

Performance

Don't expect an orgasm from this toy; that's not what it's designed for. When the balls are inserted, they don't seem to rest against the g-spot (at least, not on me), and there's really no way to thrust with them. The shifting they do inside is not enough for an orgasm, but they sure can leave you primed for one once you take them out!

A nice side effect seems to be that no matter what type of mood I was in before, these things make me want to get busy in a hot and heavy way! They give you a constant awareness of your genital area, and for me that certainly left me horny. Also, the clicking noise is so quiet that you can't hear it when they are inserted.

The only drawback I can think of, is that if you sit down carelessly, they can shift and be slightly uncomfortable. Other than that, I love these things!

Care and Maintenance

Elastomed can be easily cleaned with antibacterial soap and water. It can't be boiled like silicone. I don't think it would be very practical to use a condom with the Smart Balls due to the shape (although I could be wrong), so you should not share them.

I store mine in a sandwich size plastic Ziploc baggie. You can use silicone, or water based lubes with the Smart Balls.

Packaging

The packaging was certainly nicer than you would get from a cheaper brand, but I wouldn't use it as a storage box or gift box.

Experience

One of my favorite experiences with this toy so far was wearing them out in public. Made the mundane experience of grocery shopping fun and naughty for both myself and my partner - he just loved knowing I had them in while picking out vegetables and cookies!

Wow, great review. Gotta get some Smartballs. The ones I have been using are either two large, too tiny, don't shift, or in the case of a pair of glass ones I once had-hard to retreive. Atleast elastomers are on the GRAS (generally recognized as safe list)

Yeah I've heard some horror stories about visits to the gyno to retrieve balls. I really can't imagine how that could happen with these... Of course, now that I've said that, someone's gonna find a way.
