Smartballs - Balls for women

Overall, if you are looking for a vaginal ball, these are worth a try. You may want to consider starting with the Teneo Uno and work up to the Duo. Once use to the design and feel, the Smartballs Teneo Duo are comfortable and have pleasant results. Great for play or "working out", I recommend the Fun Factory Smartballs to any woman.

useful review
I anxiously awaited the arrival of my new purchase. Finally it came, but unfortunately I had to put their use on hold until the next day - didn't want to go to work the first day with these things in me without a trial run! When I opened the package I was a bit tentative about their size. The other reviews don't lie, the Smartballs are not small. In fact, I didn't think they would fit. They have a nice weight to them, and when I hold them in my hand and shake I can feel and barely hear the smaller balls inside. They are smooth and velvety to the touch. The removal band doesn't look like much but it is strong and sturdy. I pulled and stretched, and the band held up perfectly. After a complete inspection and reading of instructions I was still a little nervous about their size...

Determined to give it my all or to take it all, I readied up with my lube and laid on my back, knees apart. Despite the flashing image of being at the Ob-Gyn, I forged ahead. Using the easy in finger hollow, I griped the Smartballs, dabbed on some lube, and began to insert them into my vagina. As I continued with inserting the Smartballs it was an odd sensation - not exactly uncomfortable and no pain, but definitely odd. After one of the "balls" was fully in I took a break just to see how it felt. I gave a gentle tug to the removal band and felt some resistance. The one inserted ball was noticeable but again, not uncomfortable. I continued on. The second ball was a little more difficult to insert. Since there is a gap between the balls the flexibility in the middle made it a bit harder to angle the balls correctly for insertion. I found the key is to completely relax, which takes me some time, and to go slowly. However, once the second ball was inserted it took a little manipulation to adjust the ball so it wouldn't feel like it was going to fall out. The fit was tight, but after a few preliminary movements I decided the Smartballs were not going to come out or be painful.

Ecstatic over my (not so small) victory, I decided to do some daily house chores, as suggested. I am happy to report that all of my chores were quite enjoyable. Transporting laundry up and down the stairs had never been so fun. I had a heightened sense of every movement and just knowing that I had the Smartballs in without my boyfriend and roommate knowing, had me grinning to myself. I felt naughty and sexy with them, and they were a great reminder to do my Kegel exercises. After about 10-15 minutes of wearing it was time to remove the Smartballs. I opted for a standing position, one leg propped up (think Captain Morgan). Like the insertion, removal takes some time and patience. After slowly pulling on the removal band the first ball comes out with a pop, followed shortly by the second ball. Not an uncomfortable experience, but odd and takes some getting used to.

The Smartballs worked as a great reminder to do the Kegels but I am unsure about how effective they are in strengthening the PC muscles on their own. I would love to think that just using these on a regular basis I will get super strong PC muscles and have more intense orgasms. Unfortunately, it is hard to tell right off. On the plus side, I found them to be incredibly arousing. When I removed them I was so wet and turned on! I surprised my partner with jumping on him with just a good deep kiss and some groping and then straight to the main event! I will do my best with a follow up review, hopefully with some additional information on strengthening my PC muscles and of course, more intense orgasms.

Welcome to EF!
What kind of lube can you use with these? What kind of material are they? What is the actual size, measurements? How do you clean then? Are they hard to take apart?

Thanks for your review. While you did good about how to use them and what they are used for. To someone who actually wants to order these, more information on the product itself is needed. There is a mentoring program if you are interested! Actually I just became a mentor if you would like to send me a request. I would happily accept. Also the extended template when it can be used, helps you stayed more organized!

Again welcome to EF!

  • Have you tried these or something similar?
    • I'm curious to hear about how long (daily and over the long term) you wore them, and what the results were. Could you tell a difference?

I'll be interested to hear people's responses to this. My understanding is that they can be worn all day. But when I try to wear any toy for a prolonged period of time (more than 1 hours) I find that I get dry and the toy gets uncomfortable and I have to take it out.

As for telling a difference: I try to remember to do some Kegel exercises a few times a day, and I've noticed a difference since I started. Since these toys are a Kegel exerciser, I assume that if they do what they're meant to do, then yes, you would be able to tell a difference. These are at the top of my wishlist right now. Maybe I'll get them soon and I'll be able to give you an answer myself!
    • never tried them. Looks cool though

  • Choosing The Right Ben Wa Balls For Your Anatomy
    • So, this is a general question for all the women out there. I recently purchased Fun Factory's Smart balls Teneo Duo and they're my first set of ben wa balls. I spent quite some time analyzing the different types of ben wa balls and felt comfortable enough purchasing the ones from Fun Factory after the great reviews. Now that I've gotten them and tried them a few times, I'm sort of disappointed and left wondering if I'm doing something wrong (since many others seem to love them).

For me, the balls are very cumbersome to insert. The product isn't huge by any means. I own vibrators with a larger circumference than the Teneo Duo. Yet, everytime I've struggled to insert them (even with lube). Additionally, I can't feel any vibrations or movement. I know they're not necessarily supposed to be arousing. But, I literally can't feel anything. While, when I hold them in my hand and move them slightly, I can feel the movement without a problem. So. I'm looking for advice from any women out there.

Should I have started with smaller sized ben wa balls? Does the material of the balls make a difference in sensation (metal vs. silicone)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have both the original Smartballs and the Teneo Duo. I can offer some personal insight into one of your problems, and will take a stab in the dark at the other.

First, as to insertion, my stab in the dark is: are you using lube and inserting the balls one by one? This toy needs lubricant, as its silioone creates a lot of friction and "drag." I swab some lube on the top half of the first ball, and a little around the neck of the second. I also find the finger insertion grip to be useless for the first ball. You have to hold the first ball on its own and pop it in there, then use the finger grip for the second.

As to the vibrations, my personal experience is that I didn't feel them at all when I first started using the smartballs, but the sensation improved as my grip did. I didn't find that the vibrations stimulated involuntary muscle contractions or gave me a passive workout out of the box. I had to use them for a couple of weeks and do a lot of deliberate squeezing before the process got more automatic.

Your mileage may vary, as everyone's anatomy is different, but my advice would be to give it a couple of weeks of daily wear and see whether your opinion changes. I love mine now and feel that they provide a PC muscle workout that is superior to kegel exercises sans equipment.

      Hope this helps.

So the sensation improves over time? I've never been impressed by any balls, because I can't feel them. I think I'll take your advice and try to get some regular use out of mine so maybe I can see what all the fuss is about.

  • What's the difference
    • Between the Smartballs Teneo duo and the regular Smartballs
    • Quote: Between the Smartballs Teneo duo and the regular Smartballs
The regular smart balls are smaller in diameter and circumference. So pick which one you think would be more comfortable for you.
    • The Teneo Duo are also made out of silicone, while the regular Smartballs are made of Elastomed.
