Luv-touch contour - traditional vibrator by Pipedream - review by Sin Secret

I was a little put off when I saw the picture of the Luv-Touch Contour Vibe|Luv-touch contour, but that went away as soon as I got it in the mail. It arrives in a cute, cylindrical plastic container that made me feel feel like I was getting something adorable, fun, and special. The plastic material feels very soft and silky to the touch, and it fits well in my hand. It takes two AAs, is easy to prepare, and pretty easy to use. Not to mention that the thing's just adorable. So cute, curvy, and pink.

The first downfall was its smell. Upon opening the box, I noticed this strong smell, and it made me sad to find it was coming from the vibrator. It's a sort of mix between brand new plastic, musk, and a slight fishiness. I tried cleaning it a few times, but it didn't help at first. However, a few uses and washes later, and I can barely even tell it was there.

First off, I don't find it very insertable. The contouring shape of the top is too wide for me to find comfortable for penetration. So after a few halfhearted attempts as inserting it, I gave up and settled for externals.

As a clitoral vibe, this thing is great, but not wonderful. The sensations it gives are interesting; a deep, thrumming pulse that you can feel all the way up to your tailbone. I definitely appreciate the sensation. It does feel really good.

What I will say, though, is that it might not take you all the way over the edge, with out a bit of a push. For me it takes a good twenty minutes of careful movement, a couple strategically placed kegel squeezes, and just a bit of patience and deep breathing. I bet it'd be easier for all the normal people who don't have orgasm problems like I do, but that's what it takes for me.

When it comes though, it is worth it. I think what would help this thing reach it's awesome potential would be one more level of power, and a slightly more specific target point. The tip is very wide, so it can't give one specific area sensation, it's just all over the place. That's good, but I think it keeps it from working as well as it could.

As far as cleaning goes, the smooth texture and simple curves makes it easy cleanup. As with most of my similar toys, I just spray it with a cleaner and wipe it down with a clean rag. I definitely enjoy this vibrator, but wish it were just a little bit stronger.

If you've read any of my other reviews, you know I use my toys mostly for couples play. This, I must say, doesn't work too well in that department. The size means it's only comfortable during penetration from behind (granted, that's my favorite position, but...); even then the all-over-the-place deep sensations get kind of lost in the thrusting.

It does, however, feel really good. If you're just looking for an extra boost during sex, and don't rely completely on the vibrator for climax, than the sensation this one gives will probably be awesome. But if you use the vibrator for orgasm, you're probably better off using it by yourself.
