Sometimes Looks Really Can Tell You a Lot

Looking at this toy makes my vagina cringe. It's an odd design and doesn't work well for me. It's okay as a clitoral masturbator and a back massager for hard to reach places, but it fails at being a pleasure for my g-spot or vagina. The good thing is that it is quiet and the vibrations don't travel down the shaft causing your hand to numb. I really don't think this will work for many people.

Use

Seriously, who designed this thing? A blind monkey? The G Fun isn't fun at all. In fact, I found it down right uncomfortable! The packaging says this is the Funny G-Crystal Mars. That sounds much more appropriate since this seems like it isn't designed for any woman on this earth. The shape is really odd. The most obviously strange thing is the random "tooth" it has. This isn't something my g-spot or insides enjoy at all. The toy is also surprisingly heavy and made of very unsafe dense materials. The materials don't allow for the vibrations to travel well, so they mostly stay in the "super soft" tip, which isn't very soft at all, by the way. Running on two AA batteries, it still doesn't provide enough power. The vibration are buzzy, but at least they are quiet. If you need a quiet toy and like odd shapes, the G Fun is for you. Otherwise, I'd stay away from this one. I don't think it will work for the majority of people.

Material / Texture

The G Fun is made of a combination of weird materials. The top of it is a softer jelly material. Softer means it is the softest of the materials used, but still isn't very soft. It has a little give, but not much more than an orange peel for comparison. It also smells a lot, a lot like skunk. It has give and requires lubricant. The jelly is a very low grade material that is porous and requires a condom.

Then the middle part is also made of a jelly. It is so hard that I thought it was plastic. It has no give, but does bend at the thinnest part about 10 degrees. It also has a bad smell. The surface is much more smooth and non sticky and won't give you trouble with resistance. It's also porous. The last material is the plastic used for the end cap.

Design / Shape / Size

The design and shape is down right strange to me. It starts out with a very bulbous tipped head. It's also very large, about 5" around if you tilt it. This is probably too big for most, especially for being the first part that is inserted. The angle of the g-spot curve is extreme. If it were a bit more gradual, I think this toy could work for more women. The g-spot curve also houses the giant power source, a bullet. On the underside of the mass is a strange hook or tooth looking formation. It says it is designed for added g-spot stimulation, but it doesn't do that for me.

The entire length of the toy is 8 1/2" long. The insertable portion is about 5" in my opinion. I say this because I don't see many inserting this past the part that gets really wide on the shaft. After the g-spot bulge it thins out to a very narrow 2 3/4" in circumference. Then, in only a short span of 2" it gets huge. It goes to a 5 1/4" circumference where the battery compartment is. Most people probably won't insert the toy this far. This is why I say the toy has about a 5" insertable length. The toy thins a bit before a final lip at the end. There is a ribbed cap that has a dial base to control the power. There is no indication of which way is up. This can be annoying when the toy is inserted.

The toy isn't very discreet. It's pretty obvious that it is a sex toy even though it doesn't look traditional. It's not great for travel because the design is bulky and the weight is heavy. It's really heavy for the size!

Functions / Performance / Controls

At least the G-Fun is pretty easy to operate. The dial base at the end controls the power. It has variable speeds of between low and high. The low could barely be felt. I felt that even the high was pretty weak overall. This is because the tip is where the vibrations are most powerful, and they don't travel down the shaft well at all. The plus side to this is that it doesn't numb your hand, but this doesn't do all that well as a vaginal toy if you want all over vibrations.

The vibrations are also very quiet, especially when inserted. This is a good toy for those who need to have discreet sound. I found the vibrations to be a bit buzzy, but they worked well enough for clitoral stimulation on the highest level.

I had a hard time inserting this toy, and when I got it in, it was kind of uncomfortable. Use lots of lubricant! Pulling it out was even worse. The design of the thin shaft sort of anchored this toy inside me and the "tooth" didn't feel good coming out either. I swear you could do kegel exercises with this thing because of the bulbous head.

This toy is advertised as being waterproof. It did pass my shower test, but I don't trust its construction for submersion. Where the softer jelly is connected to the harder jelly, the seal is pretty shoddy. Because of the long neck, it does make a nice reaching vibrator for sore spots on the shoulders and back. I found this to be the best use. I didn't enjoy it otherwise.

Care and Maintenance

This toy should be used with a condom for sharing. I'd recommend it for solo use anyways since the material is very porous. You can use any kind of lubricant with this, but water based does just fine. To clean, use warm water and an anti-bacterial soap. The material retains smells, so you may want to use a fragranced one to get rid of the horrible original smell. Let it dry and put it back in the package or store out of direct sunlight and away from other toys of similar materials. They can melt together! Remember to remove the batteries before storing to prolong their life.

Packaging

The packaging is typical of low end sex toy. It's a plastic clam shell with an arbitrary random picture of a girl holding her boob on it. The graphics are horrible and the words repeat themselves in spots. There is actually an entire paragraph repeated right below the same paragraph. This package works as storage, but it's impressive and doesn't make it a good gift.
    • Good for storage
    • Minimal
    • Recyclable
Follow-up commentary
I ended up with a few of these. I tossed mine and all but one out. I gave it to a friend who said she had a really hard time using it. I honestly think this is one of the worst products for its intended purpose.

I as curious about this one as it does seem to look rather strange, sometimes something different can be surprisingly pleasant - I guess not in this case though, I think I'll avoid this one . . .

Yeesh, this looks frightening! I do love when toys are very narrow and bulge wide, but..this one looks a little too dramatic, even for me.
