Straight forward fun for mostly everyone

The Softee Teaser packs a wallop and has a wide variety of uses. It stimulates multiple regions and is great for couples. Unless you want your neighbors or roommates to know this however, be mindful of its loud vibrations.

Use

The Softee Teaser is a woman’s sex toy that primary stimulates, but isn’t limited to, the clitoris. It may also be inserted, for G-spot stimulation, used on the nipples or all over the body. The stimulation won’t do much for men, so if used with couples, it should be focused on the woman.

As the materials section will mention, the head of the toy has 24 nubbles focused in an oval. This allows for moving the head all over the opening or lips of the vagina for non-clitoral stimulation, rather than only the clitoris. The head of the toy can be directed inside the vaginal canal, focusing the nubbles towards the g-spot.

This use of the nubbles provides more intense stimulation than just vibrations. Such stimulation does not extend as well to other nerve clusters, unfortunately. While it does stimulate the nipples, it can run the gambit between weak and too powerful. It will take practice to find the right speed level.

The Softee can be used on the anus, but not very well. It lacks the intensity of most anal vibrators and the turn dial mechanism makes it difficult to use anally. Further, as it is a porous material, to be discussed in materials, it needs a condom covering if used anally.

The might of a showerhead is no match for the Softee’s TPE coating. Shower play, bath play, the toy is usable in either, but don’t expect the water to muffle the sound. The base of the toy is the source of the vibrations, which register between a 3 to a 4 on the Bee scale. Even if completely submerged, there is no discernible change in the sound.

Every reason mentioned makes the Softee an excellent toy for most couples. When engaging in foreplay, the nubbles can be focused on her nipples, dragged along her body, or any personal erogenous zone. Further, the Softee can enhance fingering by adding stimulation to the clitoris while the partner’s hand stimulates the g-spot. By inserting the Softee into her vaginal canal, it can enhance oral sex and climax.

In the previous paragraph the pronoun “her” was used, this was not a mistake. As mentioned, it does little for anal play and nipple stimulation on men is only pleasurable for a moment. This is why I cannot recommend this toy for male same sex couples, or for use on males. Same sex female couples should find it quite enjoyable though.

Material / Texture

The Softee is just that, soft to the touch, although not very slick. It’s similar to soft plastic, but it creates friction, so making it difficult to drag a finger across the surface. Lubrication is a necessity if using the toy for insertion.

At the head of the toy are 24 soft nubble bumps arranged in an oval. This provides extra stimulation on the clitoris or nipples that is more nuanced than a vibrator. While the material does not have an odor, it will collect hair, lint, dander and other particles, so it should be washed before use.

The Softee is made of TPE, a slightly porous polymer blend. The advantage to this material is that it has a safety rating of six, no smell and is flexible. This allows for greater flexibility with use, the head can be turned and mildly stretched to reach new areas for stimulation.

There are many disadvantages of TPE however. The primary problem is that, as mentioned, it is slightly porous and will absorb, in this case, vaginal fluid. As such, this and other TPE are not for sharing, unless covered with a condom before use. Only silicone and water lube are compatible with TPE, but as this is primarily a clitoral stimulation toy, that isn’t an issue.

Design / Shape / Size

As this is primarily a clitoral toy, size isn't that important, it's the head that counts. As previously mentioned, the 24 nubbles make for a wide area to direct stimulation. Further, the bendable material makes directing the vibrations an ease.

If using this as a insertable toy, consider the size. At one inch diameter and five inch insertion length, this is a perfect toys for beginners. It's painlessly inserted once lubricated(water or silicon) although for those with more experience with toys, it may not seem filling.

This is not a discrete toy, at a single glance, it will clearly be recognized as a vibrator. Users desiring discretion should probably store it in either a bag, toybox or lockbox. As it's small, it can be easily hidden for travel, simply wrap it within a condom and then a sock, or a bag.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Softee is designed simply, which yields huge dividends in its ease of use. It is equipped with a single turn dial mechanism and is air tight. With some toys these two features could be problematic, but they synch up perfectly on the Softee.

First consider the turn dial mechanism. This is the bane of anal toys, as it makes simultaneous genital and anal play impossible, but this is a vaginal toy. For the Softee, the turn dial allows for greater control of its speed as is needed, without loss of motion. This is in contrast to other toys, such as the Groovies’, or other which have button mechanism.

For some women, the genitals become extremely sensitive after climax. To stop toys with button mechanisms, they either have to be pulled out quickly, or the button is pushed until they’ve gone through all the other settings. All it takes to deactivate the Softee is one quick dial turn to the left post climax.

The only flaw of the Softee’s design is the battery storage chamber, which is on the same part as the turn dial. If the top of the base is grabbed, it activates the toy, if the bottom, it opens the battery chamber. This creates the risk of accidentally unscrewing the base while in use.

In regards to batteries, it takes two AAA batteries and doesn’t use too much power. Despite not using much power, the Softee is not as quiet as the packaging suggests. It warrants a 4/5 bees, even when submerged.

Care and Maintenance

The methods for storing the Softee are discernible through other sections of this review, but let's run through them in bullet points.

It collects dust, hair and dander, so either store it someplace clean, or keep it in a ziplock bag, or condom.

As it is TPE, only water and silicone lubes are compatible with it.

When storing, keep it someplace covered, like a bag, toybox, or lockbox.

Cleaning this toy is pretty simple. First, remove the batteries and then dump it into a small pool of warm soapy water. Let it soak and then wipe it clean, with either a washcloth or wipe. It is waterproof, so the batteries may be safe if left within, but why risk it?
