Strengthen your muscles with a secret
Highly recommended as a staple for overall sexual functioning to most. If you have a small canal or problems inserting toys, I would pass. If you can get past the uncomfortable insertion process, these will pay off in a short period of time. Fun to wear while going about your day-to-day business.Published: September 9, 2011
Pros:
Good for strengthening PC muscles, work quickly, comfortable to wear for extended periods
Cons:
Difficult to insert
I once purchased some metal Ben Wa balls. I was unimpressed by the result and how difficult they were to get out once I was done. After doing some research, I decided on the SmartBalls.
The packaging on these is very nice. It's sophisticated enough for this price point. The front is clear so you can see the balls and the back is connected via magnet that you can open up for more information.
The first thing I noticed about these was the size. Compared to my original metal balls, there are quite large. I would say they are about an inch a piece, but I didn't pull out a measuring stick and I'm not always the best at judging these things.
The material is safe for long wear and is very soft. It's not the most velvety material I've ever touched, but it definitely feels like something that would be comfortable to wear for hours.
The first time I used these, I applied a very small amount of the included lube to them. They actually hurt a bit going in. You have to grab the center string, get the first ball in, then put your finger on the groove of the second ball and push that one in. Not the most sensual experience in the world. After some struggling, I got these in and proceeded to do normal activities.
These are very comfortable. On first use I had them in about three hours with no issues. I had a heightened awareness of them and it was a good reminder to do Kegels while I had them on. I think this is one of the key points to this product: they are a constant reminder to do your exercises.
While I did not get intense pleasure from these as some users have reported, I did find that the longer I wore them the more aroused I became. The heightened awareness of the balls being in me while I did day to day activities was a major turn on and I liked how I could feel them move when I would shift or walk around.
My second time using these, I applied quite a bit more lube to them and had a much better experience. When covered with lube, inserting them became a breeze. It still wasn't an erotic moment, but they went in without a problem.
The second time I wore them to work and kept them in through the day. As before, I found that I was more apt to do my Kegel excecises throughout the day and the "dirty little secret" factor of doing something sexual with no one the wiser was an incredible turn on for me.
One side note: I found that it was best to remove these if I had to go to the restroom. In the morning I tried to do this without removing the balls and it gave me a very odd burning sensation almost as if I had a bladder infection. I found I was better off taking them out and going through the slight hassle of inserting them again using only what was on them as lubrication. If you're willing to carry around lube to do this, that would be ideal.
When removed, the balls almost pop out when you pull the string. Much like the insertion process, it's certainly not an erotic experience, but it's not unpleasant either. I'm a huge fan of the string on these (made from the same material as the balls) because compared to my original balls I can get these out in a snap. Not to mention with much less mess.
So did they work? I haven't used them long term enough to say with 100% certainty, but I did notice that when my husband and I had sex that I felt tighter. So much so that I asked him if he had used his pump beforehand not thinking that the balls could have made any significant difference in such a short period of time. Apparently I was wrong as he had done nothing special and I noticed a dramatic difference in tightness. I would think with long term use, these could produce even more remarkable results. I plan to contiune to use them regularly to see just how much of a difference they can make.
Cleaning the SmartBalls is incredibly easy. They wash right up with soap and water or toy cleaner. I had no issues cleaning any part of these.
I would highly recommend this to most women. It's a great way to strength your PC muscles and have a little bit of fun while doing it. However, if you have a very short vaginal canal or have a lot of problems with inserting things, these may not be for you.

Have you tried these or something similar?
-
I'm curious to hear about how long (daily and over the long term) you wore them, and what the results were. Could you tell a difference?

My understanding is that they can be worn all day. But when I try to wear any toy for a prolonged period of time (more than 1 hours) I find that I get dry and the toy gets uncomfortable and I have to take it out.
As for telling a difference: I try to remember to do some Kegel exercises a few times a day, and I've noticed a difference since I started. Since these toys are a Kegel exerciser, I assume that if they do what they're meant to do, then yes, you would be able to tell a difference. These are at the top of my wishlist right now. Maybe I'll get them soon and I'll be able to give you an answer myself! -
never tried them. Looks cool though

Choosing The Right Ben Wa Balls For Your Anatomy
-
So, this is a general question for all the women out there. I recently purchased Fun Factory's Smart balls Teneo Duo and they're my first set of ben wa balls. I spent quite some time analyzing the different types of ben wa balls and felt comfortable enough purchasing the ones from Fun Factory after the great reviews. Now that I've gotten them and tried them a few times, I'm sort of disappointed and left wondering if I'm doing something wrong (since many others seem to love them).
For me, the balls are very cumbersome to insert. The product isn't huge by any means. I own vibrators with a larger circumference than the Teneo Duo. Yet, everytime I've struggled to insert them (even with lube). Additionally, I can't feel any vibrations or movement. I know they're not necessarily supposed to be arousing. But, I literally can't feel anything. While, when I hold them in my hand and move them slightly, I can feel the movement without a problem. So. I'm looking for advice from any women out there.
Should I have started with smaller sized ben wa balls? Does the material of the balls make a difference in sensation (metal vs. silicone)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! -

I can offer some personal insight into one of your problems, and will take a stab in the dark at the other.

First, as to insertion, my stab in the dark is: are you using lube and inserting the balls one by one? This toy needs lubricant, as its silioone creates a lot of friction and "drag." I swab some lube on the top half of the first ball, and a little around the neck of the second. I also find the finger insertion grip to be useless for the first ball. You have to hold the first ball on its own and pop it in there, then use the finger grip for the second.
As to the vibrations, my personal experience is that I didn't feel them at all when I first started using the smartballs, but the sensation improved as my grip did. I didn't find that the vibrations stimulated involuntary muscle contractions or gave me a passive workout out of the box. I had to use them for a couple of weeks and do a lot of deliberate squeezing before the process got more automatic.
Your mileage may vary, as everyone's anatomy is different, but my advice would be to give it a couple of weeks of daily wear and see whether your opinion changes. I love mine now and feel that they provide a PC muscle workout that is superior to kegel exercises sans equipment.
Hope this helps. -

I've never been impressed by any balls, because I can't feel them. I think I'll take your advice and try to get some regular use out of mine so maybe I can see what all the fuss is about.

What's the difference

Between the Smartballs Teneo duo and the regular Smartballs

Quote: Between the Smartballs Teneo duo and the regular SmartballsThe regular smart balls are smaller in diameter and circumference. So pick which one you think would be more comfortable for you.

The Teneo Duo are also made out of silicone, while the regular Smartballs are made of Elastomed.
