Textured Delight
I found the Delight to be exciting and a great rigid toy. If you like hard plastic toys, this is a good one. However, if you wrap your hand around the base to thrust you may be disappointed each time you turn the vibrations off. I think it is a great vibrator for the money. Maybe if I put a piece of duct tape over the power button it would help.Published: July 18, 2011
Pros:
Rigid with deep ridges and fairly strong vibrations, great for thrusting.
Cons:
Placement of the power button is the only thing I don't like about this toy.
Use
The Delight by Evolved is a good traditional vibrator, great for vaginal stimulation and thrusting. It can be used to stimulate the clitoris as well as nipples and other areas of the body, but I prefer it as a vaginal vibe. I don't think it would make a good toy for anal play due to safety issues because it does not have a flared end.

Material / Texture
The Delight is made from hard ABS plastic coated with a velvety smooth surface. This toy is rigid; it will not bend or flex in any way. For those of us that like hard toys for thrusting, it is amazing. The Delight is phthalates free and non-porous. It has very deep ridges that run with the shaft, and just a little twist while thrusting was phenomenal. I did notice a slight odor when I first opened it, but after giving it a good wash I do not notice any residual odor.

Design / Shape / Size
I love the deep ridges that run vertically on the shaft. Their placement is fantastic, and the flare combined with the deep ridges of the Delight really excited me. I can not fully explain how stimulating the texture of this toy was for me. Twisting while thrusting took me over the top with a combined orgasm the first time I used it, and it has not failed to get me off any time I have used it.
I personally think the size is about perfect and would work for beginners, as well as someone more advanced if they enjoy rigid toys. I think couples would enjoy this vibe and that it is for vaginal play and perhaps external stimulation of the clitoris, nipples, and externally on men as well. It is also great for solo play, as noted above.

Functions / Performance / Controls
The Delight has 3 vibration settings: low, medium, and high, and high is strong enough to do the job for me. Low, I don't even use, and medium is great for teasing and getting started.
My one complaint about the Delight is the placement of the power button. I love Evolved's toys, but they are too easy to accidentally turn off during play. Putting a raised button on the end of the base makes it super easy to press while thrusting. When running it on high, this means that it is turned off when thrusting, which can be a buzz kill... literally!
The Delight is waterproof and has held up well to washing, but I have not used it submerged or in the shower. This is a personal preference. I am not worried about the toy being damaged by submersion. I just don't enjoy water play.
The vibrator is about average on the sound. It is not super quiet, but under the blankets it might not get noticed when fully inserted. It seems to be pretty easy on batteries as well. It takes 2 AAs, and they last a long time if you remember to take them out when the Delight is not in use.

Care and Maintenance
Being waterproof, the Delight cleans up easily with soap, water or antibacterial toy cleaner. I don't have to worry about getting the wrong parts wet. The texture of the surface means you have to pay a little more attention to getting it clean. Make sure the ridges are cleaned well, but other than that, clean up is a breeze.
ABS plastic is non-porous and can be used with silicone lubes as well as water based. You can also use it in conjunction with a silicone toy, but if you do, remember to stick with water based lubes.
It stores really well in the box it comes in, which is just fantastic and even has enough room for storing your batteries as well.

Packaging
I love Evolved's packaging. They are so creative and give you great packaging that can be reused for storage on many of their toys. The packaging for the Delight is no exception. It comes packed in a metal box with swivel locks that help keep the lid on. Inside there is a form molded plastic insert that the toy rests in. If you take the plastic insert out you can store your batteries below it and never have them touching the outside of the toy.
The box does have a little window in the top that allows you to see the toy, so the packaging is not super discreet. If someone runs across it in your room they will know what it is; however, it could be stored in plain view, and unless someone looks at the top of the box they would not know what it is. It just looks like a cool tin, although it does have the Evolved logo on the outside of the box.
I suppose the box is recyclable, but I love these boxes so much I am hanging on to them!

Personal comments
The Delight is a good traditional vibe for those who enjoy rigid toys. The ridges are exciting and make playing with this toy an adventure to see what kind of sensations you can get out of it.
Experience
I love the design, texture and material the toy is made from. The one major drawback is the power button. Evolved makes some fantastic vibrators, but they really need to rethink the power button placement. It really is a let down to be thrusting and almost at orgasm and have your finger accidentally turn the vibrator off. I like to use the base for leverage while thrusting, so this happens a LOT with vibrators that have the power button in this placement on the base.

Great review.
What size is the toy? Thanks for the review.
Hi kelaaa33wish it is 7" but with a 5 3/4" insertable length and a 1 1/2" diameter. Sounds small but it really is a great average size
