The Almost Perfect Vibrator

The Form 2 boasts strong power, a rechargeable battery, and it's waterproof. The bunny ear design works far better than I imagined and allows for pinpoint precision that doesn't vibrate away from you when you're in the moment. However, it has a major design flaw that shifts the vibrations and generally makes the thing have a mind of its own. If you can work around this flaw though, this thing will give you mind-blowing orgasms like no other vibrator this size.

Use

The Form 2 is a clitoral vibrator with two dual powered bunny ears. The fun doesn't stop there though, as I was able to use the bunny ears on my husband with some added pleasure for him. It can also be used for vibrations just about anywhere on your body (nipples, etc.). Stay away from internal anal use, as this doesn't have a wide enough base to be safe. It could likely be used vaginally, although the box and I agree this probably isn't the wisest idea. The Form 2 is waterproof, so it can be used in a bed, in a shower, in a tub, or wherever the mood strikes. Because of it's small size it's portable and can be taken on the go with you.

Material / Texture

The Form 2 is made of a velvety silicone. It has a slight drag when dry, but so little it's hardly noticeable. The silicone has no odor unless you put it right under your nose and even then it is very mild. This is some of the best silicone I've had the pleasure of playing with. It's so smooth I find myself running my fingers on it before using it, something I've never really done before. If you're a beginner or advanced user, rest assured that you will likely fall in love with this material and be lamenting why all your other toys can't be made as soft and supple. The only downside to it is that because it's silicone you can't use silicone based lubes. As a silicone lube lover, this always makes me a little sad. In this instance, I'm happy to suck up using some water based lube just to get the luxury feel of this silicone on me. For those concerned about safety, this material is rated as a 10 and is free of just about everything.

Design / Shape / Size

When first I saw the Form 2, I thought it was odd looking and not all that aesthetically pleasing. The more I look at it, the more I think it's really quite adorable. It's made up of the wider base that you use to hold it and two flexible bunny ears that vibrate. It's a very innovative design and the more I think of it as a bunny, the cuter it seems to get. The whole idea behind this unique design is that you can place the area you want the vibrations to hit in between the ears and get dual sided sensation.

The Form 2 is a total of 3 inches long, with only 1 inch of this as the ears. The width of it is under 2 inches, making this a very petite toy. I can fit this in the palm of my hand, curl my fingers around it, and no one would know I was holding it. Since I got this, it has replaced my bullets in my purse as my carry around item. Extra bonus? If you hold the "plus" and "change mode" buttons it locks so you won't ever have a purse that has randomly started vibrating (possibly one of my biggest fears in bullet carrying). If someone did somehow happen upon it, it doesn't look like most toys and I doubt it would raise any flags - though the design certainly would have someone asking questions and I'm not clever enough to come up with something this could be for OTHER than sex.

The more time I have with the Form 2, the more I fall in love with the shape and design of it. Super discreet, just the right size, and the ears do wonders!

This little vibrator is also fully rechargeable - no batteries required. It charges on what reminds me of an old school iPhone base charger. I was told that the designer of the Form 2 used to work at Apple, and if this is true you can see it in the charging design. The Form 2 rests neatly on the base standing up and looks like the height of sophisticated technology.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Form 2 has three buttons on the base of it - one for up, one for down, and one to change patterns. The buttons are a little hard to see (especially when looking at it from far away) and I've pressed the wrong button more than once by forgetting which of the raised buttons does what. It's not complicated, per say, but in the heat of the moment you can certainly end up turning it down instead of up or switching a pattern.

There are five speeds on the Form 2 ranging from "mildly strong" to one step away from "burn off your clit." For such a little device, this thing packs a major punch. I'm a power girl myself, so the first thing I did once the Form 2 charged was to put it all the way up and put a finger in between the ears. My finger was numb in under five seconds. My husband did the same and looked at me like I was crazy and said, "you don't want me to turn this all the way up, right?" Oh yes, I do!

For those who like patterns, the Form 2 has five. Four can be found with the "cycle" button and the fifth "secret" pattern is eluded to in the manual. For the life of us, we could not find it. I ended up looking it up (as I hate to be outsmarted by a sex toy) and found that +-+-+- will bring you to the fifth cycle. The cycles are a constant vibration mode, a pulse mode, an oscillate mode, and a thrum mode. The secret mode will cycle through the other four. Oscillate mode makes the vibrations shift from one ear to the other. I found this one particularly annoying, but I'm not usually into patterns anyhow. I did like the constant vibration mode as well as the thrum pattern. Since I usually keep all my pattern toys on constant vibration, it was nice that I could enjoy an extra pattern as a bonus. The thrum mode is fast vibrations to both ears.

As a waterproof toy, it has held its own in many a shower. I haven't tried it in the tub, and frankly the charging bottom base makes me a little nervous to submerge this expensive little toy all the way under. I have gotten this part wet when cleaning and had no issues.

For such a powerful little vibrator, the Form 2 is very quiet. When used in the shower, I could barely hear it over the water. A closed door test says that you could play and unless someone had their ear to the door, they would be none the wiser. That is, until it glitches out.

Oh, Form 2, you were almost perfect. As you might have already known, the Form 2 has a major design flaw. When held at a certain angle (hell, most any angle with pressure), the Form 2 will move its vibrations from the ears and into the base. To which I say - what the hell?? Some research tells me JimmyJane is aware and that it was actually designed to do this. Designed to take stimulation away from the stimulation points? I truly don't get this. The glitch causes the Form 2 to vibrate all over the place, become very loud, and generally no longer serve its purposes. It's great at doing this when you're just there, as if it's a lover who likes to tease just a little too much. The glitch isn't a deal breaker on performance for me, as it is a great amount of power AND has patterns I like, but it is a deal breaker for a lot of women, so be prepared that when you buy this you are taking a gamble. Seriously worth noting. If you think this will piss you off so much that you won't use it, don't bother buying it. They ALL do this.

Care and Maintenance

Waterproof all the way around, the Form 2 is fairly easy to clean because you don't have to worry about keeping certain parts dry. I usually wash mine with soap and water, but you could use a toy cleaner as well. The only irritation here is that because the ears are so close together it can be a bit difficult to clean in between them really well. I usually do this with my pinky finger as my other fingers will get stuck in between it. The material is made so that if you rub it when it's fully wet it literally squeaks, which makes me feel like it's really clean. Lame, I know, but I like clean things to squeak.

Packaging

Good things come in small packages, right? Not the Form 2. For this 3 inch vibrator, JimmyJane decided on a foot long box. Before I looked at the picture I thought I got the wrong thing. It's really very big in comparison to what comes in the box. Nevertheless, the packaging is nice. It's white with a nice use of open space and attractive lettering with a picture of the Form 2 near the center. It doesn't quite scream "luxury," but it does say "this is a premium brand." The Form 2 is in the top half, along with the base of the charger. At the bottom is the cord for said charger. I've kept the box because I like it enough that if I ever take a long trip or move, I might pull it out again.

Personal comments

A few extra notes on the Form 2. The battery is made so that you can keep it constantly on the charger, as opposed to only charging once the battery dies. I was told this by someone who worked at a sex shop I frequent as well as a few places online, so I'm fairly certain this is a fact. I usually let mine run until I think it's almost dead and then charge it just to be safe. If you put Form 2 on its charger and take it off, it will blink and let you know what the charge is if you want to play it safe and only charge on a low battery.

I would say this toy is probably not a beginner's toy. The vibrations, even on low settings, are pretty high for someone just starting out. I would have cried if I used this ten years ago. Now? I'm a turn it on high girl. If you like moderate to high level clitoral vibrations, then give this a go.

It's worth saying again - the glitch may be a deal-breaker for you. It's an inconvenience for me and an annoyance, but the pros have outweighed the cons in my eyes. It is a pricey toy though, so think long and hard about if you think this is going to drive you out of your mind. It's not fixable so if you hate it, you've wasted $150. I guess the price of the toy is what really gets under my skin with the glitch. I have $4 vibrating cock rings that can hold a steady vibration yet this luxury priced toy randomly has a mind of its own. Makes me love it just a little less and looks bad on the company since many people have complained about it. If the Form 2 had cost $20, I wouldn't be peeved. At $150, I expect the thing to do what it's meant to do. It's still usable though and you can find ways to work around the glitch once you get used to how to angle it and what to do when it freaks out.

Experience

I'm head over heels in love with this thing, despite its major design flaw, because it just performs so well (when not freaking out, that is). After first charge (which took less than an hour), I grabbed it excitedly and started out with the lowest vibration to warm things up. Within a minute, I was ready to turn it up to 11 and see what this thing could do. By speed four, I thought I was on speed five. At speed five, I was slamming my hands on my shower wall biting my tongue not to scream. This little baby gives some seriously intense orgasms. When I got out the shower, my husband asked how many times I came as he had heard me banging on the walls two rooms down. Yeah, it's that good.

The first two uses, I didn't even experience the dreaded glitch and thought I had the best luck in the world and got one without the flaw. Sadly, after use three it has happened every time. While I find this flaw incredibly annoying, usually shifting it or pressing a button will get the ears vibrating again and we're back in the game.

I've used this both solo and with my husband, and it works great either way. He has a little trouble with the dual ears for some reason, often fumbling around with it trying different angles. After a few uses, I found what angles I liked and stuck with them. The thing that really makes this vibrator stand out to me is how the ears work. One, they both vibrate. Major plus already. The second major thing to note is that due to the design of the ears, I have a hard time losing the spot at just the wrong time. With other vibrators, I'll find the spot I want to pinpoint, but the vibrator there, and within a few seconds the vibrations will have moved things around and it's not in the spot I want it. The dual ears force the vibrator to stay put, perhaps because there's two or because they vibrate in on each other. I'm no engineer. I just know the vibrations stay where I want them to stay and I'm a happy girl.

Some extra bonuses we've found along the way are that the low vibrations feel good on my nipples (most of my vibrators seem to hurt me there) and that if I run it along my husband's shaft he seems to like it a bit as well. He says it's nothing mind-blowing, but that it does feel good.

It is a clitoral vibrator though, so it's going to shine at what it's meant for more so than other things you can think to do with it.

At this point, after owning this for a little over two weeks, it has become my most used toy. I killed the charge on this thing in less than a week. Considering I've been told by others that a full charge will last almost a month, you can see just how much I use it. It's a great go to for quick orgasms as well as using the lower settings to warm things up and take it slow.
Follow-up commentary
I wish there was an "I like it less" button. I still like my Form 2, but I don't love it as much as I once did. It has started to glitch out more often than not which is very frustrating to me. If it wasn't a problem with this vibrator across the board, I'd have tried to make a warranty claim on it. Knowing I'd likely end up with the same product has stopped me from making an attempt. I still use my Form 2, but not on a regular basis. The power is great and the dual heads are amazing. It's just that stupid glitch that does it in.
