The best motivator

I highly recommend the Emgi kegel exerciser for just about any woman, it's very pleasant feeling, not too big, not too small, not too heavy, not too light, and just the right amount of stimulating for extended everyday wear. It's also very very effective as a way of strengthening your PC muscles.

Use

A good kegel exerciser is a wonderful thing, it helps strengthen the pelvic floor or PC muscles inside a woman's vagina, which is beneficial in many ways, it helps a woman feel more pleasure from penetrative sex especially after having children, allows for stronger orgasms, and helps to prevent women from becoming incontinent after menopause.

The Emgi is a wonderful kegel exerciser, it's a little less effective as a foreplay toy as the vibrations aren't as intense as some other Ben-wa styled toys, however it's body friendly design, and size make it ideal for users of all levels. I have pretty well toned PC muscles to start with, but after a few weeks of this little guy my orgasms are just... wow. It's also very cute and non-threatening looking, making it perfect for users who might be intimidated by other ben-wa type toys.

The peanut shaped design helps the toy sit in the vagina cradled by your muscles so it will not fall out and lead to awkward moments. It has as far as I can tell one weight that moves around inside it, the weight is a bit lighter than the weight in the fun factory smart balls, and a bit less prone to move, so again the vibrations are a little less intense, making this toy more appropriate for long term every day wear since it's less distracting, while still being very pleasurable.

This is also an excellent little motivator to exercise or do house work, because you can really only feel the vibrations when you're moving, and believe you me, you will want to keep moving with this thing in.

Also considering that it's an exerciser, it's probably better to use this toy pretty frequently, at least an hour every other day, to every day for best results in strengthening the PC muscles.

Material / Texture

The Emgi is made of very firm elastomer (think solid hard plastic), and is scentless, and tasteless, with a smooth outside texture, and moderate internal weights. It has a silicone retrieval cord, and is very comfortable for lengthy wear. However, the white part does have a tendency to get stained if it comes in contact with blood, so you may want to watch out for that if you're on birth control and tend to spot between periods.

The retrieval cord is somewhat stretchy, so you'll want to make sure your muscles are relaxed, and your legs are well spread for removal of the Emgi.

Despite it's firmness, it's small enough to be comfortable, and the shape makes it easy and comfortable to insert.
    • No odor
    • Rigid

Design / Shape / Size

The design is fairly ingenious, it will *NOT* fall out on you, even though you will feel like it may (which is good, because that makes you clench around it). It's a very cute toy, and looks quite discreet sitting out in the open, because unless the person seeing it is well versed in sex toys, they'll have no idea what the heck it is. The weights are sort of a middle to light weight, making it comfortable for all day wear, and easy enough to keep in even for women who've given birth multiple times.

It's relatively small, but again, it's designed not to fall out on you, and frankly that makes it more comfortable than a lot of ben-wa balls in terms of using for extended periods.

The one thing I don't like is how stretchy the retrieval cord seems to be, when I'm not super relaxed it can be a little difficult to get out, which makes me nervous about the possibility of breaking the cord.

Performance

This toy performs very well, it's easy to insert with a little lube, is a great reminder to do kegels, and will strengthen your PC muscles a lot with extended wear. It's also wonderfully designed so that it won't fall out on you throughout the course of a day of wear. It's somewhat arousing, though less stimulating than say, fun factory's epicly hot smart balls (which again, contain a heavier more "wiggly" weight), but arousing enough to get you worked up after a good few hours of activity. Another upside is that because you only get the vibrations when you're moving it's a really great motivator to go to the gym or do that tidying up you promised yourself you'd get done. If there's one toy that's made me a better house keeper, it's this one.

Really the vibrations are not terribly strong, unless you're walking on a hard surface, running, or walking up and down stairs, but they're just strong enough to tease, and be slightly pleasurable while not distracting you from whatever it is you're doing too much.
    • Comfortable
    • Discreet
    • Easy to use

Care and Maintenance

This is a very easy toy to care for. Elastomer is compatible with water and silicone based lubes, but due to the silicone retrieval cord, I would only use water based lubes with this toy. It's hard and doesn't attract dust, unlike many silicone toys, and can easily be cleaned with anti-bacterial soap and water.

The only problem I've noticed is that the white part of the toy is very susceptible to blood stains, meaning that if you're prone to spotting between periods and care about how this toy looks you may want to be a bit careful on that count.

I personally keep mine sitting on my bedside table, it's that discreet (and it doesn't attract dust the way some toys do)
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

It comes in a cute little plastic box with a picture of the emgi on the outside, it's not great for storage, but it sure is cute, and not at all hard to dispose of or open, which is pretty much all I ask for from packaging as a general rule.

Personal comments

I've been using this for about a month, and my orgasms are now more mind-blowing than ever. Definitely a sound investment.
Follow-up commentary
I still love my Emigi and use it nearly every day. It's a perfect vaginal exerciser, and really I swear my orgasms just keep getting better.

Looks great. I always want to try new kinds of exercise balls, but the ones I have are just "meh" for me.

Personally my favorites are the smart balls, but I like the Emgi for wearing around while I get stuff done.

I'm kind of concerned that this is staining, because it blood should come right off since this is non-porous. I understand that more permanent materials might stain the surface, but blood shouldn't be one of them. Hm...

Iron has a tendency to be particularly "clingy" once it gets on a surface, it'd probably come off with an abrasive cleaner, but I haven't bothered.

Nice review. I got this for my wife but she still hasn't used it. It seems like everyone seems to enjoy it. Hopefully once she actually tries it she'll like it as much as you do.

  • Do you get cramps with Emigi?
    • I've noticed that when I use the Emigi kegel exerciser, I have very mild cramps. Gas anyone else noticed this, or am I just crazy?

Could it be touching your cervix and irritating it?

  • Kegel exercisers
    • Which is the best kegel exerciser? I've read good things about the sinfive emigi and luna pleasure beads and hte ami system. I would like some opinions on hte best one. I've had two children vaginally so it's probably about time I start toning things up.
    • As a male I find the Pure Plug anal toys from Njoy to be good for doing kegels. I suppose if you were a woman you could do a DP kegel routine!(nerd)
    • The Emigi seems like a great way to start! I really like my Loa, but they're kind of large! The Ami seems like the best (but is a bit pricey) because you get 3 and can steadily increase the difficulty!

  • Why is it only safety rating 8?
    • The material section says that it is non porous, phthalates free, and anti-bacterial, so why is the safety rating only an 8? I bought this and the g-ki for my birthday and they are arriving today, but I just became worried that I might have a yeast infection or something. I'm so disappointed that I might have to wait to use my new toys, but I don't think it is safe to use them if I have one, right? I don't want to contaminate my toys?

    • You can't boil it! Toys that you can boil get a higher safety rating!

  • Am I using Emigi right?
    • I just got this and I've used it for a couple of days. I feel nothing. Absolutely nothing when it's in me. The only time I do is when I have it placed closer to my vaginal opening and the feeling isn't pleasurable and the thing slips out. How far in is this toy supposed to go? And am I supposed to feel it or is it still going to work if I don't?

I believe it sits right inside - I tried it closer to my opening too but it was mighty uncomfy. I felt the exact same as you. Emigi does NOTHING for me. It's like I'm not even using it. In my opinion, it's useless. But a lot of people love it.
It was my first kegel toy and I was disappointed.

But then I bought the Lelo Luna Beads which are pricey but SOOOOOOO worth it.
Any slight movement and you will feel the internal balls moving with ease! They are fabulous (inlove)
I find the girdle is too long for me so I just use one of the balls inserted on it's own. I cut the string off mine cause I find them easy to push out using ya muscles. One day I must try inserting 2 balls, but I'm not sure there's enough room to have both in, for me.

If you want to feel the internal balls moving around, I highly suggest Luna Beads! I LOVE mine.

Thanks, but the last thing I will do is spend more money on something that may not work. Besides, the Luna beads are too big for me. I've never had anything bigger than 4 inches in circumference in me so that's my limit.

If I put Emigi in and gently pull on the string to get it to move a little more down, I can feel some pressure and it feels pretty good. It also doesn't fall out unless the tail end is further towards my vaginal opening.

I don't know if it's all because I'm too loose or my muscles are too weak, but I am hoping that with a little more practice, I will get this thing to work.

  • SinFive Emigi Kegel Improvements
    • So I was ready another review of the SinFive Emigi and am thinking of getting this for my wife. Obviously the purpose of it is to strengthen your kegels so I thought it might be good to make an area where those that have used it can post back about how it has or hasn't helped them.

I almost didn't get the Emigi because several things I read said about it being for beginners. I dont feel like a beginner,..but I guess I am because it can slip out on me on occasion,...so I guess I have kegel work to do,..... but two 9 lbs babies will do that ;-) Feels good, comfortable

  • WTP or Elastomer?
    • I sat down this evening and wanted to write a review of my Emigi, and started to read carefully the instructions, where it said it was made of elastomer. However, in the product description, it says it is made of WTP, which a type of thermoplastic.

I can only see Sinfive products that fall in that material category, and I was wondering if it called WTP by Edenfantasys because it has those antimicrobial properties and received a bonus point in the material safety scale (8 for WTP, and 7 for Elastomer)? I'm asking because some of you know that I write product sheet about materials on my blog, and I'm not to sure how to deal with that material. It looks like I could include a note about WTP in a main page about 'Elastomer', but I'd like to make sure i would be correct. However, I can't find what it stands for, and if anyone knew, it would really be helpful.
    • I'm not sure... but I would try contacting the manufacturer. Furthermore, I would always go with the information provided with the toy rather than on a website where someone might input the wrong info.
    • oh... I just realized what WTP was.... What The Pfuck!? Okay, that was lame, but I crack myself up.

  • It Looks So Cute And Tiny!
    • I can't help it, i want one. But... only 1 review? Will there be more? Who has one? I'm just kinda disappointed there's no blue one. The pictures make the purple one seem dark, but others have shown it to be lighter and more blueish. Anyone have the plum one and can tell for sure what it looks like?

I also like the fact it's small and less intimidating than smart balls, which I have always debated getting. For a decent price and a small compact shape, I might have to get these and see what all this kegal exercising is all about. :P

Anyone else gonna pick one of these little peanuts up? :P (It looks like a peanut to me, lol.)
