In terms of vibrators, I am partial to rabbit vibes. But if you are a beginner, this would be a great place to start. I found that this toy was best suited when my partner used it on me as a g-spot stimulator, while going down on me. In fact, it was amazing for that purpose. The vibrations could be stronger, that would make it a lot more fun. It is not a great clitoral stimulator for this reason.

It's not terribly loud, but if you are on a college campus and have one or more roommates, they would hear it in the same room so it's probably not best for that. I am not sure how waterproof it is, and I'm always wary of submerging most toys in water even if they say they are waterproof, because they might not hold up so well. So for me, the Allure is best on a bed.

The Durex Play Allure is made of hard, food-safe plastic. It is a very safe material. It's hypo-allergenic, and phthalates free! It has no seams, which is always a good thing. It is obviously very stiff, no give at all as it is white plastic. Easy to use, easy to insert, and some good old water-based (and vegan, in my case) lube can always help that along, if necessary. It glides fairly well, but can be a bit slippy to hold on to.

The design of the Allure is very simple. It's smooth and sleek. Very basic, solid straight shape. It is thicker towards the middle/end. For me, it could be a bit thicker, it has a 1 1/4" diameter. It is 6 1/2" long and about 4 3/4" of that are insertable.

Sometimes due to the shape, wetness, and muscle contractions, this toy would slip out on its own. I would only use this if I had another means of clitoral stimulation since I need that in a vibrator, or any sort of play at all (hence, using it in combination with my partner going down on me).

This vibrator doesn't really have many settings. The purple dial turns and clicks on, then can be turned up in vibration. It could be a bit stronger, it's not an earth-shatteringly strong vibrator. It has...moderate vibrations. Enough, for most people, I'm sure. But it would be nice if it were stronger. It's not super loud, but if you have a roommate, they will hear it if they're in the room.

Being that it's made of rigid plastic, it's compatible with all lubricants. Another plus, is that it is easy to clean! Some soap and water, or a good toy cleaner. Not porous at all, which is always great. I'm not sure if it's dishwasher safe, but just cleaning it with water and drying it with a towel does just fine.

It comes in a box, it's not super discreet since the Durex logo is on the box, and they're a pretty well known brand. The toy isn't immediately visible through the packaging, there is a flap that you can pull back, and then you can see the vibe through the clear plastic. It comes with a satiny purple pouch to keep it in, which keeps things nice and discreet once it's out of the box. Got to love a toy that comes with storage! The pouch is just big enough to keep this vibe in, but I suppose maybe a vibrating ring, or a small toy, may fit in it as well. That's a plus! Never enough storage.

I know this isn't necessarily what you would look to for a g-spot vibe, BUT it makes for a decent one. In fact, this is the toy that assisted in my first female-ejaculation experience! I think the rigidness of the plastic really had a lot to do with that. Also, it's fairly discreet. You can keep it in the pouch and carry it around in your purse unbeknownst to the world.
