The exerciser that'll get you exercising!

The Emigi is a great little Kegel exerciser that is comfortable and discreet. I am not much of a go-out-of-my-way-to-exercise type person, but I found myself climbing stairs just to feel my vaginal muscles contract. Love it.

Use

The SinFive Emigi is a wonderful Kegel exerciser that is not only discreet, adorable, and comfortable, but also very easy to use. The Emigi is similar to two-ball exercisers such as the Smartballs or Teneo Duo, but smaller, making it more comfortable for women who have a shorter vagina, or those of us with tipped uteri.

Because of its relatively small size, insertion is easy, simply treat it as a tampon: hold the Emigi by the base (near the tail) and insert in whatever position you find comfortable. You will know that it is seated correctly when it feels comfortable but still there. I have tried inserting it both with and without lube, and found that either was comfortable for me.

I would not recommend this toy for anal play as it is too short to be sure that it is not going to get lost up there, which could be difficult to explain to the EMT or Emergency Room personnel.

Material / Texture

The Emigi is made of WTP, which is a specially formulated thermoplastic that is pthalate- and latex-free. WTP is completely non-porous, and this one in particular is made even safer and easier to clean because the Emigi's WTP has anti-microbial properties built-in.

The texture of the Emigi is fairly smooth, though slightly matte, which helps your vaginal walls grip it to keep it in place. There is a very slight give in the Emigi, and when you shake the Emigi, you can feel the ball inside each globe rattle around. When you shake it outside the body, you can hear a fairly quiet rattle of the balls moving, but when inserted the toy is silent.

There is a slight seam between the colored and white sections of the Emigi, though that is not felt once it is inserted. There is no noticeable smell from the Emigi, even when it was brand new.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

The Emigi is an adorable little peanut shape that is about 2 1/2 inches in insertable length with a 4 inch tail for removal. For some people, the tail may be an irritant, but for me it was entirely unnoticeable until it came time to remove it, in which case it is very useful, in my opinion. I gave the tail a few solid tugs to see if the tail was connected well to the rest of the Emigi, and was a little surprised at how well anchored it felt.

At its widest, the Emigi is about 1 1/2 inches in diameter which makes for comfortable insertion. This small size makes the Emigi comfortable for almost everyone to wear for longer periods of time. I've worn my for about five hours at the longest, and all I noticed was how well lubricated I was when it came time to remove the Emigi... and I don't start off with lube!

For me, the balls inside the Emigi were a nice surprise every now and then. I found them to be most noticeable when I climbed the stairs, which makes it a wonderful motivator for those whose New Years resolution was to take the stairs instead of the elevator! The vibration is not particularly strong, but the sensation of the vaginal muscles clenching in reaction is particularly delicious.

Performance

There are many things about this toy that I absolutely adored: the insertion is easy, it is quite comfortable to wear for long periods of time, the vibrations (and resulting vaginal muscle contractions) were pleasant surprises, and I feel very comfortable wearing it in public.

The whole point to Kegel exercisers is to strengthen the PC muscles that can be weakened by childbirth, age, and weight and can lead to incontinence. One of the benefits to strengthening the PC muscle (other than better control over your bladder) is better orgasms; making the Emigi, and others like it, an easy way to better orgasms!
    • Comfortable
    • Easy to use

Care and Maintenance

Because of the anti-microbial properties of the Emigi, clean-up is a breeze. Simply wash with warm water and mild soap (do not boil or it will lose the wonderful anti-microbial properties), let dry completely and then store. I don't store my Emigi in a special place because it is not as much of a lint-grabber as silicone toys can be. It can be used with water- or silicone-based lubes, but personally I find lube unnecessary.

The anti-microbial properties of the toy are encased in the outer surface, and as such will not unbalance your vaginal flora which are key to a happy vagina.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

I love the packaging for the Emigi. It is discreet, minimal, and yet has all the information you need for the toy. It is a small plastic pouch, similar in shape to a paper grocery bag with the top closed (only much, much smaller). Inside is a discreet image, which when taken out and unfolded gives you information on cleaning and use. I've kept the package for when I'll want to store my Emigi for moving, but right now it gets enough use to be kept out!
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Good for storage
    • Minimal

  • Do you get cramps with Emigi?
    • I've noticed that when I use the Emigi kegel exerciser, I have very mild cramps. Gas anyone else noticed this, or am I just crazy?

Could it be touching your cervix and irritating it?

  • Kegel exercisers
    • Which is the best kegel exerciser? I've read good things about the sinfive emigi and luna pleasure beads and hte ami system. I would like some opinions on hte best one. I've had two children vaginally so it's probably about time I start toning things up.
    • As a male I find the Pure Plug anal toys from Njoy to be good for doing kegels. I suppose if you were a woman you could do a DP kegel routine!(nerd)
    • The Emigi seems like a great way to start! I really like my Loa, but they're kind of large! The Ami seems like the best (but is a bit pricey) because you get 3 and can steadily increase the difficulty!

  • Why is it only safety rating 8?
    • The material section says that it is non porous, phthalates free, and anti-bacterial, so why is the safety rating only an 8? I bought this and the g-ki for my birthday and they are arriving today, but I just became worried that I might have a yeast infection or something. I'm so disappointed that I might have to wait to use my new toys, but I don't think it is safe to use them if I have one, right? I don't want to contaminate my toys?

    • You can't boil it! Toys that you can boil get a higher safety rating!

  • Am I using Emigi right?
    • I just got this and I've used it for a couple of days. I feel nothing. Absolutely nothing when it's in me. The only time I do is when I have it placed closer to my vaginal opening and the feeling isn't pleasurable and the thing slips out. How far in is this toy supposed to go? And am I supposed to feel it or is it still going to work if I don't?

I believe it sits right inside - I tried it closer to my opening too but it was mighty uncomfy. I felt the exact same as you. Emigi does NOTHING for me. It's like I'm not even using it. In my opinion, it's useless. But a lot of people love it.
It was my first kegel toy and I was disappointed.

But then I bought the Lelo Luna Beads which are pricey but SOOOOOOO worth it.
Any slight movement and you will feel the internal balls moving with ease! They are fabulous (inlove)
I find the girdle is too long for me so I just use one of the balls inserted on it's own. I cut the string off mine cause I find them easy to push out using ya muscles. One day I must try inserting 2 balls, but I'm not sure there's enough room to have both in, for me.

If you want to feel the internal balls moving around, I highly suggest Luna Beads! I LOVE mine.

Thanks, but the last thing I will do is spend more money on something that may not work. Besides, the Luna beads are too big for me. I've never had anything bigger than 4 inches in circumference in me so that's my limit.

If I put Emigi in and gently pull on the string to get it to move a little more down, I can feel some pressure and it feels pretty good. It also doesn't fall out unless the tail end is further towards my vaginal opening.

I don't know if it's all because I'm too loose or my muscles are too weak, but I am hoping that with a little more practice, I will get this thing to work.

  • SinFive Emigi Kegel Improvements
    • So I was ready another review of the SinFive Emigi and am thinking of getting this for my wife. Obviously the purpose of it is to strengthen your kegels so I thought it might be good to make an area where those that have used it can post back about how it has or hasn't helped them.

I almost didn't get the Emigi because several things I read said about it being for beginners. I dont feel like a beginner,..but I guess I am because it can slip out on me on occasion,...so I guess I have kegel work to do,..... but two 9 lbs babies will do that ;-) Feels good, comfortable

  • WTP or Elastomer?
    • I sat down this evening and wanted to write a review of my Emigi, and started to read carefully the instructions, where it said it was made of elastomer. However, in the product description, it says it is made of WTP, which a type of thermoplastic.

I can only see Sinfive products that fall in that material category, and I was wondering if it called WTP by Edenfantasys because it has those antimicrobial properties and received a bonus point in the material safety scale (8 for WTP, and 7 for Elastomer)? I'm asking because some of you know that I write product sheet about materials on my blog, and I'm not to sure how to deal with that material. It looks like I could include a note about WTP in a main page about 'Elastomer', but I'd like to make sure i would be correct. However, I can't find what it stands for, and if anyone knew, it would really be helpful.
    • I'm not sure... but I would try contacting the manufacturer. Furthermore, I would always go with the information provided with the toy rather than on a website where someone might input the wrong info.
    • oh... I just realized what WTP was.... What The Pfuck!? Okay, that was lame, but I crack myself up.

  • It Looks So Cute And Tiny!
    • I can't help it, i want one. But... only 1 review? Will there be more? Who has one? I'm just kinda disappointed there's no blue one. The pictures make the purple one seem dark, but others have shown it to be lighter and more blueish. Anyone have the plum one and can tell for sure what it looks like?

I also like the fact it's small and less intimidating than smart balls, which I have always debated getting. For a decent price and a small compact shape, I might have to get these and see what all this kegal exercising is all about. :P

Anyone else gonna pick one of these little peanuts up? :P (It looks like a peanut to me, lol.)

We just got these last week, I think, so at least one more review should be coming out soon. :)
    • I'm hoping to review it eventually! Darn only-one-a-month thingy and being broke!
