The Holy Grail of Vibrators?

The Gigi is mostly used as a g-spot toy. Unfortunatly, this did not work for me. I still highly recommend the Gigi for its many other unique features. It is a very well made vibrator that can be used for a long time. The Gigi has worked for many women in finding their g-spot and I would recommend the Gigi to any women who wants a decent vibrator for g-spot stimulation.

Use

The Gigi has been praised again and again as an excellent g-spot vibrator. The Gigi simply does not fit my anatomy correctly to stimulate my g-spot. Don't get me wrong, the Gigi is a very well made vibrator and I do highly recommend it. The Gigi is especially made for g-spot stimulation. When I first tried the Gigi, I did not get what the big deal was about this toy. I did not get an amazing orgasm from the Gigi. There was very little, if any, g-spot action when I used the Gigi. From reading numerous reviews, I figured there was something wrong with me-that I did not have a g-spot. After using other toys in search of my g-spot I did discover I had one, the Gigi just was not suited for my g-spot. I think the very ridged structure is what prevented me from stimulating my g-spot. Lots of women absolutely love the rigidness of the Gigi and that makes it great for them, but I need a bit of flexibility with my toys. Since I don't find having the Gigi in me as very pleasurable, I use it mainly for clitoral stimulation, which I find to be very good. The flattened tip made for g-spot stimulation rests perfectly on my clit. The Gigi is best suited for a woman searching for her g-spot, but can also be used for her clit. I would recommend the Gigi for a long, sensual relaxation session.

Material / Texture

Gigi is made from Phthalate free silicone and the handle and controls are ABS plastic. When I first got my Gigi it had a slight charcoal type smell to it. After a few washes the smell went away. The silicone has a nice velvety feel to it. The texture is also very nice when lubricated. I like using the Gigi un-lubricated on my clit, the silicone drags and pulls on my clit for extra stimulation. The texture and material would be recommended for both beginners and advanced users. The material is very safe and easy to clean and care for.

Design / Shape / Size

As stated before, the Gigi does not work very well for me. The curvature of the Gigi makes uncomfortable and a little painful to insert and to take out. Once inside, the tip does not reach my g-spot and does not stimulate it. The Gigi is okay to thrust, but doesn't do much for me. The Gigi is very hard and ridged and does not have any flexibility to it at all. I'm not a big fan of hard dildos or vibrators, I like something that flexes and can be moved around the suit me better. I was very surprised at the size of the Gigi, I thought it would be a little bit bigger than what it is! I figured the size would be more like the size of the Elise. The size makes the Gigi very easy to insert. I find the length to be a little on the short size, when I wrap my hand around the handle, I also have to wrap my hand around a little bit of the insertable part, which interferes with how much I can insert and with thrusting. Gigi comes with a little silk pouch to be stored in and can be hid fairly easily. Gigi is not very discreet, it obviously looks like a vibrator. Gigi's design is very sleek and sophisticated, it does not look tacky and embarrassing like some sex toys. The Gigi is small enough that it could be easily traveled with. The Gigi has a unique locking feature, which prevent accidental turning on of the vibe when traveling, which could be very embarrassing. Just hold down all four of the controls on the control pad until the LED light fades off. To unlock the Gigi, hold all the buttons down again till it lights up.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations of the Gigi are hard to really tell where they originate from. I think The vibrations are located in the middle of the vibe, but the tip vibrates very nice too. The main function of the Gigi is for g-spot stimulation, which did not work out so well for me. I use the Gigi mostly for clitoral stimulation now, which works out fairly okay. I don't find the vibrations to be particularly intense, but they get the job done. The controls are very easy to use. When pressing the plus button the LED light surrounding the controls lights up. When I turn on my Gigi on the low vibration settings there is a low pitched screech that is a little annoying, but goes away as the vibrations increase. Hold down the plus button to increase vibrations. Use the minus button to decrease vibrations. Hit the up and down buttons to cycle through four different vibration modes. A handy feature about the Gigi is that while it is on you can mash all four buttons down at the same time to turn off the Gigi immediately instead of having to hold down the minus button. This comes in handy in case of an unexpected interruption. The Gigi is very quite and mine has a low pitched screech during the low setting of vibrations. The Gigi is not waterproof, so be careful when cleaning to not get water on the control pad or the plug for the charger.

Care and Maintenance

Gigi is very easy to care for. The LELO website recommends to wash your Gigi soon after use with water and antibacterial soap. You can also use your favorite toy cleaner. Never use harsh cleaners such as alcohol. Pat dry your Gigi and left it air dry so you don't get fibers from your towel all over it. The Gigi should not be stored with other silicone toys. Gigi comes with a little silk pouch and the original box is also very nice for storing Gigi and the charger. Gigi is rechargeable, with a charge time of two hours for four hours of use. LELO toys come with a one year manufacturer warranty, incase anything were to happen to your Gigi. Since the Gigi is silicone, only water based lubricants should be used.

Packaging

LELo packaging is very attractive. My box was turquoise with a real size picture of the Gigi on the back. After taking off the turquoise cover, there is a nice sturdy black box. After opening the box You can see the Gigi with a clear plastic cover over it. Under the Gigi is a user manual that tells you everything you need to know about your Gigi. There is also the warranty information, the charger, and a silk pouch. I highly recommend keeping the box to store the Gigi in and to keep the charger and information together. You can leave the box setting out and the only thing that would give it away would be LELO printed on the top. The packaging would be very good for giving the Gigi as a gift.

Nice review Smile I am sorry it didn't work well for you...ahh the world of g-spot vibes. Your review is a bit redundant regarding Gigi not hitting your g-spot...I would keep that in use and experience only next time.

    • How easy is the Gigi- G Spot Vibrators to use during sex?
    • I think it's more of a solo toy. You should look at the We vibes.

I think it works pretty well for this purpose. I use it simultaneously with a dildo all the time. Is it the best for this purpose? I would say you'd be better off using a smaller vibrator such as the Lelo Siri which is another personal favorite of mine during piv sex. Although it is pretty easy to use the Gigi. Works in all positions where your body isn't completely pressed against a surface or your partner's body. You'll need to give a little space in between you and your partner to fit the toy but it still works really well.

  • Lelo Gigi - Using a Condom or Not
    • I have recently bought the Gigi vibrator from LELO.

For my first use, I used a condom to cover the Gigi (the brand I used is Lifestyles Studded). After removing the condom, I noticed that the lubricant, from the inside the condom, left a kind of oily residue on the Gigi. I tried to use my toy cleaner to remove it, but I am slightly worried

I am worried that the lubricant from this condom is not water-based. Now, I have a few questions that I was unable to research answers to.

      1) Was the condom I used water-based?
      2) Have I ruined my new Gigi?
      3) Is it best to use a condom on the Gigi or not?

Any advice/help will be much appreciated.

    • From what I can find via Google, it looks like the lubricant in that condom isn't a silicone lubricant so it should be okay.

Lubricant Ingredients: Glycerine, Propylene Glycol, Polysorbate 20, Phenonip, Carbomer

I don't think you're ruined anything. If you're concerned you might want to try to find a different type of condom that leaves less residue. I have no suggestions because almost all condoms irritate me and since I'm fluid bonded with my partner we don't use them.

What would you recommend to clean the Gigi? I currently have a toy cleaner called "Swiss Navy."

Will using soap and water be bad for the Gigi? At least just for the silicone part of the vibrator?

  • is jt worth it
    • Is the product worth the price ????
    • I'm pretty sure we answered a similar set of questions about the pros and cons of expensive vibrators.
    • Quote: Is the product worth the price ????
Absolutely!! I bought mine a couple years ago after (literally) melting my previous one. Between the cost of having to replace my vibrators and the batteries constantly, I went for it and have no regrets!! Gigi is a regular part of our sex life! However, I use it only for cliteral stimulation (which works for me) so I can't speak if you are interested in G-spot usage.
The one drawback is I've found that I tend to hit the speed controls during use. Otherwise, the warranty is great (though i've never had one problem with it), it's easy to keep clean and store, and I LOVE that it's rechargable.
      Enjoy!

I highly recommend the Gigi for G-spot play. It's firm enough to stimulate it with the amount of pressure needed, but velvety enough to not be too much. Additionally the vibration settings I found to be ideal for pressing against my G-spot. Just have a towel ready!

I would recommend the Gigi for g-spot play. I will point out though that if you have a g-spot that is on the further side in terms of depth in the vagina, or if like me your vaginal canal has a sharp curve to it then you should look for a toy that is longer than the Gigi. I love the Gigi as a clitoral vibrator but based on my anatomy it didn't do much for me as a g-spot stimulator. Take your anatomy into consideration before you buy a toy for g-spot play. If you are like me and think you'll need a more lengthy toy try the G-Spot Pink glass stimulator. I'm currently working on a review for that toy and it is a personal favorite of mine.

  • Charging Gigi in the UK
    • FiredrakeNemmy
So uh, my gf lives across the pond in England and I wanted to get a little something to bring her next I go visit.

She really likes the use of the Gigi vibrator but I'm worried about the charging of the toy, I learned to be wary of such things when I blew out the power to my Wii :X

But anyways, if anyone who has one could kindly take a look at the allowed voltages I would really appreciate it. The voltage info can usually be found on the charger itself ( a bunch of random numbers and such and has that UL logo ) Does it list the Input as 100V-240V or just something around 100V?

      Thanks!

They're good for 100-240V. I charged mine while living abroad just fine.
    • The charger I have with mine has the 100V-240V range.

You might also look at getting a charger specifically for using the Gigi in England.

    • My 22nd birthday is coming up which means birthday monies <3 I'm trying to see if I can orgasm with my gspot but haven't had any luck. I've been close but no beans yet. I'm debating getting this to see if it'll work for me, plus I'm trying to go off birth control, it's made my sex drive completely dissappear after 2 years of being on it, not to mention making me depressed, moody, etc.

Anyway, would this be recommended? Where's the vibration, though? More in the shaft towards the buttons or more at the tip? And is it plenty strong? (I need strong vibrations.)

I'll have to order at a time my dad won't be home, though, and make sure it arrives when he's at work--how embarassing it'd be for me for him to find out I have toys!

I know I love it! It's my favorite vibrator.

  • is the gigi a good starter g-spot vibe?
    • My friend Lee's birthday is coming up and ever since I told her about female ejaculation and what it is and that I can do it, she's been trying to find everything about it and is really interested in a g-spot vibrator, but she doesn't really like the way most vibrators feel with vibrations. To her, they feel like an "Oh, there's something vibrating in my ladyparts but it's doing nothing for me." So, my question is, is the Gigi different in that sense that the vibrations have some "variety" to them and they're not so monotonous? I'd love to get her the Gigi for her birthday and have heard nothing but great things about it.

My Gigi is on its way, so I'm not much help there... Although, whenever I read about female ejaculation the Ella is usually involved.

It doesn't vibrate, but you may want to check it out.

Miss KissThis totally beat me to the punch! If it has to vibrate and you want to be able to use it for clitoral stimulation, Gigi is great. But if you're on a lower budget and only want g-spot stimulation, the Ella is one of this forum's favorite dildos.

  • Best G-spot vibrator. Which one to pick?
    • Rachell25
LELO has presented a couple of very well designed G-spot vibrators, like Gigi, Liv and Elise, lately. Just looking at them makes me feel horny. They all have great features and different vibration modes and they are also rechargeable, so I can safe my money on batteries.
Gigi seems to be the toy of my dreams due to its well pronounced curved tip. I guess that will lead to a better contact with my G-spot.
Any ideas, suggestions, tips? Anything will do.

PS: Will Gigi make me squirt???
    • Rainbow
Wow... that looks really splendid, in fact, all of them do.
It looks like it's going to be my G-spot's best friend for ages.

That must be a bargain but it is kind of expensive for me at the moment but as soon as I can afford one I will surely have one in my toy box.
    • Siren
My dear, not every woman is able to "squirt", it depends on every woman's physiology but it is definitely going to send you to Seven's Heaven of Pleasure.
I own one, the Liv, and it's just terrible, in the good meaning of the word.
I can assure you, you made a perfect choice if you're looking for G-spot stimulation.
