Use

The Bottle Rockets Apollo is a very cute, very discreet, pocket rocket type vibrator. It is great for external stimulation. Inserting this vaginally probably will not do much for anyone because of its small size and I would certainly NOT recommend this for anal insertion. Externally, however, it makes a great little vibe. Awesome for nipple and clitoral stimulation and could even be used around a mans testicles or perineum for some added fun during oral play.

The Apollo is completely waterproof and I did toss it in a sink full of water to be sure. After it buzzed around in there I took it out and the inside was dry as a bone.

Material / Texture

This wee one is made from smooth, hard plastic. It is so soft and has zero drag. It had no smell or taste coming out of the package. Plastic is non-porous, Phthalates free, hypo-allergenic, and latex free.

The insertable portion is velvety smooth and matted and the bottom inch is shinny smooth plastic. There is a metal ring between the pieces and a rubber o-ring to seal out water above the threading of the battery compartment.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

The Apollo is a total length of 4.5 inches with an insertable length of 3.25. It has a tapered tip that grows to almost an inch in diameter and then swerves back to 0.75 inches then back up to almost an inch. Therefore, it is definitely a small toy.

It is certainly small enough if you want to toss it in your purse for travel. It can be easily tucked away anywhere, even between the mattress and box spring if you want. I, personally, keep it in the bottle in my toy drawer, which takes up very little room in there.

It is not intimidating at all and would make a great first toy, gift, or just a little something extra to add to the mix – anyone can benefit from this toy.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This fellow takes 1 AA battery and has only one speed. The rubbery button at the base you will press to turn on and then, press it again to turn off. The button can be hit easily. I learned this as soon as I put the battery in. Just don't hit it accidentally because that could ruin all your fun.

The vibrations are located at the tip, which is great. You can feel them all throughout the toy but they are not enough in the bottom (shinny portion) to give you itchy fingers. The vibrations are pretty strong for such a small toy. They fall into the medium range.

In the water, the Apollo works just as well as it does on dry land. I had it in the shower, bath, and in the sink (for my mandatory sink test) and I had no problems with it whatsoever.
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use

Care and Maintenance

Plastic is pretty easy to care for. Wash with warm water and anti-bacterial soap or your favorite toy cleaner, or you can rub it down with isopropyl alcohol. It does not collect any lint or random pet hair. Storing plastic is easy also; I actually have a large satin bag where I keep all my hard plastic toys. This one however gets its own home in its bottle.

Plastic is happy with any type of lube you wish to use, if need be.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

It comes in a clear, plastic, small sized bottle. Like a beer bottle. Really, the packaging sucked me in. It is just so cute!

Perfect for storage for the Apollo itself, and plenty of room leftover to keep a battery in there so you have everything ready to go.

All the information one would need about the toy is printed on the bottle. No pamphlets to lose. It is great. Granted, the bottle is clear so you can see the toy in there, and it does say it is a "massager" but it is not vulgar at all.
    • Minimal
    • Would make a nice gift

Personal comments

I really love this little guy. He is great for someone like me who loves clitoral stimulation. I break him out when I use a larger, insertable toy and he rock(et)s my world.
Follow-up commentary
This little guy is such a wonderful companion to insertable toys. I tend to pull him out when I use my glass or stainless for some clitoral teasing. Great little toy. I recommend him to anyone
