The Not-So-Groovy Groovies Slimline

This toy overall was a decent toy. The vibrations were good and steady, though not quite what I'm looking for in a toy.
It is travel friendly, easy on the hands and wrists, and has a good steady vibration.
It is waterproof, for that ever-so-fun romp in the shower! It is also phthalates free and hypo-allergenic.
Another nicer note is that it is latex free, so users who are allergic to latex, can safely use this product.

extremely useful review
The Groovies Slimline is a traditional vibrator, best for use in one's vagina. It is not recommended for anal play. The velvety coating would require lots of lubrication for it to slide in the anus easily, and there isn't much at the base of the toy to stop it from being sucked right on inside. Once the issue of the drag of the velvet cote is solved, it can be a pleasurable toy with mild vibration.

The Slimline is plastic, with a velvet covering on the sheath. It does not retain smell, and its easy to wash. The velvety coat does add for quite a bit of friction when entering the vagina, so lubrication is definitely a must. I recommend a good lubricated condom, because safety is always the best option. The texture is probably something anyone could enjoy because of the smooth feel of the velvet.

The toy doesn't have any curve that would stimulate the g-spot. This is rather unfortunate, and one thing I rather dislike about the toy. It is also very noisy because the inner core vibrates against the outer shell of the toy, and it also mutes the vibration rather considerably making it rather weak.

The total length of this toy is seven and a half inches. The insertable length is approximately six inches, with a three and three-fourths circumference. The Diameter of the toy isn't terribly girthy, being only one and one-eighth inches. It weighs approximately, three-tenths of a pound.

This vibrator has three settings, low, medium, and high. To open the battery compartment, simply twist the base of the toy off. The toy takes two AA batteries.

Pros:
1.Slim, easy to hide when traveling
2.Very unlikely to wear your hands out, or make your fingers/wrists/hands numb.
3.Clenching your muscles does not slow down the vibration.
4.Controls are not easy to bump while playing.

Cons:
1.It isn't very thick
2.Not conducive to anal play.
3.There is a big of drag to the velvet sheath.

The Slimline is also waterproof, making cleaning it a breeze, warm water and soap will work well. Of course, the normal anti-bacterial toy cleaner works well with it too.

I found the packaging rather plain; the case is a simple snap-together plastic, with a pink insert that has little wording on it. The insert has no designs, on the front, and on the back, it shows its use, features, and care. It also gives the dimensions of the toy.
Experience
I found that I received one of the “rare mix-up” Groovies Slimlines. Mine actually came apart! Inside I found a core, that had a smooth plastic texture, but not the velvet that the intended use of the toy had. I actually enjoyed using the core as my vibrator much more than I enjoyed the way the toy was actually meant to be used. When the velvet-covering came off, the toy was much quieter, and the vibrations were a lot stronger because the core was not vibrating against the velvet sheath.
Personally, even though the toy is not meant to be used this way, I prefer it. It really is a lot better used this way, in my opinion.

Without the velvet cote sheath the Slimline wasn't particularly the girth and length that I usually prefer, but it certainly got the job done. It may or may not be your toy of choice, but it is definitely worth a look.
I used it in my vagina, and found the vibrations quite enjoyable, but not overwhelming. I took the toy and alternated from my clit to the inside of my vagina, stimulating both.

I did not enjoy the Groovies Slimline as it was originally intended, because the inner core of my toy vibrated against the shaft and made it hard to feel the vibration. Not to mention all the noise it caused. However, without the sheath, I loved it.
Follow-up commentary
I'm still not thrilled about this vibrator. It simply doesn't do the job for me. I suppose it doesn't help that mine was a "malfunctioning" one. Thinking back on it, I wouldn't recommend this one to anyone else for that reason. I'm hoping that my next vibrator is more impressive than this one.

I'm kinda glad I passed this one over, doesn't sound too special-- except your "rare fluke" of the velvet sheath coming off.

Yeah, it really wasn't that great of a toy. I was rather sad with its results.

Too bad it didn't work out, but you don't see this style of vibe much anymore. Probably for good reason.

I have this one too, and comparing it to the wave I also got, it is soooo huge and slightly unappealing. Hopefully my review will go up soon! I loved your review, such great information! I really like how you go point blank at the pros and cons within your review!
