The Siren Song of Ina

Ina is a luxury vibrator with strong vibrations and multiple speeds and patterns. She is light weight, travel friendly, and a beauty to look at, but love her at your own risk. She has lured many in with her good looks and reputation but I find her a tough lover to master.

Nontraditional colors, major style points, locks for travel, whisper quiet
Cons:
clitoral arm slips, may not fit all anatomies

extremely useful review
There are so many things to love about Lelo toys, and Ina is no exception. She's stylish and sleek, comes in fabulous colors (how do you pass up a sex toy in orange?), has powerful, rumbly vibrations, and is rechargeable. But wait, there's more: Ina is lightweight, fits comfortably in your hand, has buttons that are easily depressed, locks for travel, and she comes with her own storage pouch. About the only thing she isn't is waterproof and that's a shame but her host of other qualities make up for that one measly oversight, right? Ina has quite a pedigree as you can see, but in all the reviews I read before making my purchase there seems to be a great divide amongst Ina users: those who love her and those who don't. I set out hoping Ina would be a fabulous lover for me as well. Let me tell you about that journey.

Ina is a modified rabbit. There are no beads, no rotating shaft, and no ears, but Ina doesn't need any of them to get you off. Flipped upside down she looks a bit like an S curve or the Spaceship Enterprise. Right side up, she looks like a palm with the fingers cupped together and the thumb sticking out. The second view provides a few more clues about her intended use. As a modified rabbit style, insertable vibe with a clitoral arm, Ina was made for dual stimulation with the cupped fingers being insertable to apply pressure and stimulate the G spot and the thumb piece resting on and stimulating your clitoris. Ina works best as a solo toy unless you have a patient, gentle partner who enjoys pleasuring you with toys and who doesn't mind taking direction. Ina is not good for thrusting and I sometimes find it difficult to manage the clitoral arm and G spot stimulation myself so I did not include my partner with this toy and would recommend something else for those looking for a purely couples toy. I also think Ina is a toy that is better suited to those who have some experience with their G spot and are comfortable finding it. For those who haven't I highly recommend practicing with Ella or something else first because Ina does not zero in on my G spot easily and it can be frustrating.

Ina's design reminds me of a fine, luxury car: sleek, smooth, and fast. She has smooth, velvety, odorless silicone covering her insertable portion and the clitoral arm. The handle is made of firm, smooth, white plastic. The plastic extends under the silicone giving the whole unit a firm, but comfortable feel in the hand and in use. If you like solid G spot pressure, this is a good thing. The clitoral arm is the only part of Ina that is flexible. It's not flexible enough to bend all the way back (she's not double jointed) but, you can lift the arm about 1.5 inches. This lets you insert Ina comfortably and makes it easier to adjust in use. A lot of reviews say the clitoral arm is too firm but as a proud member of the Clit 'O Steel Club, I actually wouldn't mind just a bit more pressure.

The buttons are located on the handle and are easily depressed, but I haven't mastered one handed use. I think it's possible, I just haven't gotten the hang of it yet. There are 4 buttons that are pretty intuitive. Press and hold the + to turn on and turn up the vibration level, press - to turn down the vibration level or turn it off, and up/down arrows scroll through the vibration patterns. If you want to lock Ina for travel, you can depress the 4 buttons for 5 seconds. When the light glows, you know Ina is locked. The same process will unlock it. The buttons glow red when the battery is low, flash white when you touch them in use or when you are charging it, and they glow steady white when the charge is complete. A complete charge takes 2 hours and lasts for 4 hours of play though I think it actually lasts a little longer. The battery seems to last forever one one charge.

Ina is smaller than she looks in pictures. She's a little less than an inch and a half around at the thickest part of the insertable piece. For some reason I thought she looked much more girthy in pictures but she is just pleasantly filling. The clitoral arm easily reaches the right place and measures about 2 inches. In total, Ina is 7.75 inches long but only 3.5 inches of that are insertable. I could have used another .25 inches on Ina to be totally satisfied with her.
Experience
(continued)
I find I always seem to get a little of myself or water based lube (not silicone!) beyond the silicone cover but it is easily cleaned with toy wipes or a damp cloth. I hate to be redundant but Ina is not waterproof, only splash proof so keep her out of the water to be safe. She is also probably the quietest vibrator I own. You can hardly hear her under the covers and I don't think you would hear her through a closed door. Amazing.

In vibration levels, Ina has something for everyone. She has two separate, independently controlled motors, one in the clitoral arm and one in the body, giving you total control of your sexual experience. There are 8 different vibration patterns. You can use just the clitoral nub, just the internal piece, both working together, alternating between the clitoral arm and the internal piece, revving, and more. It can be hard to keep track of where the ones you like most are in the line up but the up and down arrows let you easily scroll around and find it. It also has 8 power levels starting from a barely there flutter to motor boat strong.

Ina's packaging is superb. It comes in an outer box with the color of your Ina on the outside (mine was orange.) Inside is the old style Lelo, sturdy, black box with the plastic form that cradles the Ina. Under the form are the charger, instruction booklet, warranty, and the satin drawstring pouch. The box or the pouch make excellent storage units and Ina would be an amazing gift for someone interested in this style of toy.

Ina came with a partial charge but I always fully charge my toys before use to avoid that dreaded power failure at critical times. Ina did take about 5 hours to charge that day but it hasn't taken that long to charge since her initial charging and the battery life is long. I washed Ina gently with a damp cloth and settled down with the Form 2 to make it easier to find my G spot when I was ready (I find it hard to find my G spot without being well warmed up first). When I was ready, I applied some water based lube, lifted the clitoral arm, and Ina was easy to take in. I enjoyed the deep, rumbly vibrations she provided but I did have to adjust the clitoral arm more than I would have liked. It seemed to want to slide off to the sides but felt great when it was in the right place. I am able to climax with Ina but it does seem to take a fair amount of work and I sometimes get frustrated and swap for something else. I wish I could say I was madly in love with Ina but so far we are only luke warm with each other. I'm hoping with more time we might find that sweet spot, but so far we are hanging out in the friend zone.
Follow-up commentary
I'm still working with Ina but it seems she just won't conform to my body. In retrospect I think Mona might have been a better try first since you don't have the clitoral piece to navigate along with the G vibe. Ina is lovely and high quality but hanging out near the back of my toy bin.

  • How strong is the Ina in comparison to other vibrators?
    • I'm saving up for an Ina and want to be sure that it's worth it for my partner and I. I know my way around vibes pretty well so for those who own or have used an Ina, comparisons to any other vibe could be useful.

Particularly useful would be comparisons to the wahl 5-speed massager, the hitachi, the mimi and the we-vibe salsa, though. Those are especially appreciated!! :P

      Thanks!

(Discussion of other elements of the toy is fine too, if anything stands out about it to y'all)
    • I don't personally have any of those toys you mentioned, but you're more than welcome to send messages to the people who have reviewed it to see if they have any of the others you're interested in for comparison's sake. :) That's usually easier and faster than waiting for a response on a thread since they get buried so easily.

    • The battery in mine does not hold a charge very well, does this have to do with the speed im using?

the lower the speed the longer it will last

I guess so, but I usually dont use the max speed and the charge does last long :( I've had mine for over two months already.

  • Ina Buttons
    • I notice that the buttons on my Ina don't always respond the first time I push them...It's kind of annoying. Has anyone else had this problem with theirs or heard of this happening?
    • I noticed that, too. You just need to hold them down a teeny bit longer than you think you need to.

Yes, I agree. You have to give them a purposeful push to get them to change levels. But I just figured that was because the old Lelo toys were too easy to accidentally push and cause a change.

Hi, I was wondering is this product soft or is it hard for the material that was made into this product. Some times when the product is hard it kind of hurt certain places if not used right.
    • Sometimes it's easier to go to the product page and read some of the reviews on the product to find out information about it. Since I don't personally have the product, I do not know, but you might want to try out what I said. If the reviews do not answer your questions, ask the reviewer in a comment how firm or soft it is.
    • Also, on the product page, Victoria has a really good review which would answer all your questions. There is another thread about Ina, not linked on the product page (you can search the forums with the main search bar, though): link
