Spellbound G - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Holly Hox

The Spellbound G by Cal Exotics is a g-spot vibrator. It can also be used to stimulate the clitoris and the nipples, and with or without a partner. As far as the level of vibration is concerned, this vibrator can be great for a beginner. The girth might be a bit much for a person new to sex toys as it measures in at 1 1/4 inches in diameter. For someone who has experience with toys and prefers thicker toys with moderate vibrations this toy can please.

This vibrator is not terribly quiet, so sharing a room with someone in a dorm setting might make it difficult to use. It can be heard slightly through a closed door if it is not under the covers.

This one is waterproof, so it can be used in the shower. Due to a crack above the silver ring I would not submerge this in water completely. More about that in the "material" and "design" sections.

Out of the package there was no noticeable smell. It is smooth to the touch. The package say "velvet cote", but there really is nothing velvety about the material. It just has a pretty straightforward plastic feel.

Just under the g-spot curve there is a random silver ring around the vibrator. I am unsure of the reason for this, but it could be for extra texture. Other than the silver ring the toy is smooth and texture free. If you are sensitive to texture, though, the silver ring might bother you. I am generally not sensitive to texture, but the ring did bother me while inserted.

The Spellbound G is made of PU coated plastic, which is a 7 on the material safety scale. It is compatible with silicone and water based lubricant.

The design is pretty basic. Starting from the battery compartment/speed control to the top: it is ribbed for grip and it goes into a smooth straight shaft. About 2/3 of the way up, underneath the curve, is a silver ring. When you run your finger over the ring you can definitely tell it is there, but it doesn't seem to stick out prominently. Above the ring the shaft moves into a curve for g-spot pleasure.

The measurements for this one are 8 inches in total length with an insertable length of about 6 1/4 inches. The diameter is 1 1/4 inches. If you enjoy toys that are a bit thicker then this one could be a good choice. Users who prefer skinnier toys will not enjoy this as it is a hard plastic and it has no give, which could make it seem girthier when inserted.

The primary function of this toy is as a g-spot vibrator. The curve seems like it would be perfect for g-spot pleasure, but for whatever reason it just didn't work. The curve comes to a concentrated point, and maybe the fact that the concentrated point doesn't cover enough area has something to do with the lack of g-spot stimulation.

The vibrations can be felt throughout the vibrator. The control is a simple dial located on the bottom of the vibrator, and it is very simple to use. The intensity (and I use that word lightly) goes from low to high. I found myself wishing I could turn it a little bit further to get the vibrations just a little bit higher. As a clit vibe it was adequate. I was able to achieve a nice clitoral orgasm, thought spectacular is always the kind of orgasm I prefer. If you really prefer strong vibrations and more variety from the vibrations then you should pass on this one.

The silver ring on the vibrator really bothers me. I do not like the way it feels while inserted. It rubs the walls of my vagina in an irritating way. There is also a gap or crack between the silver ring and the shaft of the vibrator on one side. That could be why it didn't feel good.

This toy is waterproof, but based on that gap by the silver ring I would not submerge it. Using it in the shower was fine.

This toy uses 2 C batteries. I am not sure how long they last because I haven't (and probably won't) used it for longer than about 30 minutes combined.

Clean this with soap and water or a toy cleaner. The gap by the ring. and the ring itself, makes cleaning somewhat difficult. It collects bodily fluid there.

Water and silicone based lubes can be used with this vibrator.

The packaging was simple and plastic. No specific instruction for use.

You can keep the package for storage if you prefer to do that, or you can just store it in your toy box.

As a g-spot vibe this one definitely fell short. As a clit vibe it was alright, but I have others that are much better. I can't imagine that this toy will get alot of use from me.
