The Velvet Touch

After a pretty crappy day, I was as happy as a kid in a candy store when the mail lady dropped off a package for me.
The shipping time on my order was very fast. The site estimated it would be here Thursday (and we all know that usually means a week from the estimated delivery…) and it arrived a day early. I opened the box in a hurry, finding my Velvet Touch vibe in all its glory, which quickly put a smile on my face.
First, the packaging the vibe comes in is very nice looking; with a clear box, with very minimal and simple decorations and words, and inside rested my new magenta vibe. I have to say, the color of this vibe could put a smile on anyone’s face, only slightly darker than what pictures show, its definitely a cute color. Upon opening the box, there is a bit of a ‘new plastic’ smell, but with a good wash, it will disappear (you should always wash your new vibes before use anyway). Cleaning the vibe is very easy, as long as the end is twisted tight, a good wash down in the sink shouldn’t be a problem at all. Also, its completely solid plastic, there’s no squish to it at all.
The name of this vibe (Velvet Touch) couldn’t be any truer! This vibe feels amazingly soft on bare skin. I also love the design of the vibe, very nice looking, and well designed, and at 6” (insertable) and an inch diameter, its definitely a great fit for a first vibe.
For clitoral stimulation, this vibe is great. The vibrations are just right, and the velvety surface of the vibe feels great. Every time I’ve used this vibe, I’ve been able to get the job done. Multiple times.
But… I was never able to climax with this vibe vaginally. The vibrations were alright, and they felt nice, but they just weren’t enough for me. The length of the vibe was perfect for me, but I could have used a little more girth to it. Plus, being a traditional vibe, there is barely, if any ‘friction’ at all, so if it takes a little friction to get there for you, this may not be for you. And I haven’t been gutsy enough to test if its waterproof or not, seeing as its currently the only vibe I have.
The vibrations on this vibe were great for me, but it can be a tad loud, so I wouldn’t suggest this if there’s a chance for any unwanted audiences… In the end, this vibe is great, minus my inability to finish vaginally. This vibe is well worth its price, and is made very well.

Getting rid of stains on my Velvet Touch vibe?

LinLinHi, I accidentally used my Velvet touch vibrator during my period (like I started going and I didn't notice that I was already spotting). Since then it has some mild yellowing (I got it in lavander) and I don't know how to get rid of the stains! It does not seem to have an odor or anything, but does anyone have any tips on how I can get rid of the stains? I love this toy and its my first and only one I own, but I'm so annoyed with the staining!
Any help would be appreciated! -
You could try cleaning it with a bleach solution, but honestly it might just be stained. I'd say that if it doesn't smell and you've cleaned it real well, that might just be it. It won't affect the usability at all though, which is good. :)

Or that the machine itself is faulty? I've had this toy for over four years, only had to change the battery once, and it has remained clean, odorless, retained its color, vibrations are as strong as when I first purchased/used it, and it never malfunctioned on it. Although it's a very inexpensive toy, it has outlasted all others in pleasure and in worth! Go for it!

I had mine for at least a year before it stopped working. When it stopped working, there was rust under the twisting part of the cap, so I likely caused it to stop working by not being careful when washing it. This was a FABULOUS toy when I had it, and I would buy another if I needed another basic vibe. For $13, you can't really go wrong. Don't abuse it (drop it, get the cap or insides wet) and it should last quite a while.

Nice review. I know you said this is your only vibe right now, but I'm curious in general how this new velvet surface thing compares to the traditional hard plastic- anyone?

Hard plastic vibes have a sheen to them rather than e velvety look. Velvet touch coating feels soft while the traditional plasticc just feels smooth and drags along the sin compared to velvet coated vibes (atleast thats what I have found)
I didn't really find this vibe to smell plastic-y when I first got it.
Curlyque -- most women can't orgasm from vaginal stimulation alone, and need clitoral stimulation in addition to it. Get yourself a good bullet; I suggest the Xtreme pack g-spot bullet, which is also covered in the velvety stuff.
CockWrangler -- the velvety texture is awesome. Obviously it's not as soft as silicone or Cyberskin, but it's a great texture that I very much prefer over traditional plastic.
I love traditional vibrators.. it's so nice to find a toy that exceeds without all the bells and whistles.
