The Vibration Of Music
If you are looking to experience music in a different way, this would be a good buy. It is a fun novelty but not reliable over time. If you are looking for the best orgasm or something discreet, I would advise to look around a little more before making this decision.Published: December 7, 2010
Pros:
Unique experience for listening to music. Easy to clean. Strong vibrations. Fun Novelty.
Cons:
Batteries may get stuck in tight compartment. A bit noisy and becomes more so with time.
OhMiBod is, no doubt, a unique experience. With the right song, you can really get the most out of it. It packs a punch with strong vibrations. It comes with a pink sleeve to store it in when not in use, two interchangeable bases where you can change the two AA batteries it takes, and a connection cord.
One base has two buttons, one turns it on or off and the other gives you control to choose from different setting for whichever mood you’re in. This is great in case your iPod is dead or you want to have control. The other base is the one for the iPod or other Mp3 players. It can even be connected to an electric instrument which can be a great experience if you have a musician of a partner. It comes with a cord which has a double port for your iPod and headphones. You can listen to the music to get the full effect. As you turn up the volume on the iPod, you control the intensity. The only complaint I have with this is as you turn up the intensity, the vibrations seem to mesh together. Due to the traditional, smooth plastic body, I get more out of using it for clitoral stimulation than vaginal, but it's capable of getting the job done. The positive to its plastic material is that it is easy to clean.
Personally, I had a problem with battery compartment. There are a few brands of batteries that seem to get stuck for the fact that the vibrator is slim. One time, in an encounter frustrated with dead batteries that were stuck, I shook the vibe and batteries flew across the room. There have been a handful of other times where I had the annoyance of spending quite some time trying to shimmy the batteries out. It is a bit noisy when not inserted somewhere, and I noticed with time that it has gotten significantly louder. It's actually starting to die on me, but it was good for the first year or so. It is no doubt a great novelty item and, I'm glad I made the purchase, but it isn't the most reliable.

I just purchased this couple days ago and got it today. I tried to plug it in to my iphone and the top cap got super hot. Is it suppose to do this? I got nervous and took it off and the batteries out. Help!!!

I got nervous and took it off and the batteries out. Help!!!the unit should not heat up like that when plugged in. one of the reasons that it would do this is if the batteries were placed in the device backward causing a short in the circuitry that converts the audio signal into a higher dc power signal for the motor. always use the standard non headphone cover and test to see if the unit works before using the headphone adapter.
if the unit does not work with the standard cover the batteries might be in wrong, once it works with the standard cap switch to the music cap and try a source like a mp3 player/PC/ something with a standard headphone jack. the iphones have a bit of a different headphone jack style with an extra set of contacts for the iphone headsets so if the jack does not go fully in may cause a short in the vibrator.

To me, it seems like that would be a better use than in private. Seems like the novelty would wear off if you only used it alone.

OhMiBod

I was wondering if anyone knows if a phone with an mp3 player built in would work with an OhMiBod vibrator?
-
I replied to your post in the other thread in which you asked this question, but here it is again.
The reviews on the product page state:
"If you don’t have any kind of portable mp3 player, the Naughti Nano can be used with any CD player, computer, or other device that has an audio out option (small jack) for headphones."
From Sammi's review, which can be read here. -
Yeah, it can. The only thing that the OhMiBod "links" into is your headphone jack. If it can take a headphone jack, you're good.

Welcome to Eden. Thank you for the review.
Sorry you had so much trouble with this innovative, yet obviously wonky vibrator.
I didn't know you could hook the thingy up to instruments. I can't imagine what wonderful torture My Man could inflict with his Fender Jazz Bass guitar.
Congrats on your first review. Welcome to EF!
