The vibrator that screams, "Hey everyone! I'm masturbating right now!"

In summary, Pleasure Petals is not the best vibrator out there on the market-not by a long shot. There are vibrators that are comparable in price that have a better design, and don't require large batteries not commonly used in everyday things. There are ones that aren't so loud that even the neighbors will wonder what you're doing with your blender, and why it's taking you so long to use it. Hopefully they'll assume it's a loud kitchen appliance, and not the world's loudest vibrator.

Use

Pleasure Petals is a standard, traditional vibrator, and it's nothing if not straight forward; it's a phallic shaped object that vibrates--use your imagination. It is best suited for clitoral stimulation, though it can also be inserted. However, I wouldn't recommend this; some women may find the flower and vine design that is raised off the shaft of the vibrator pleasurable because it adds texture, but I found the designs to be sharp, and at best, uncomfortable when inserted. At worst, it flat out hurt. For this reason, I would NOT recommend using Pleasure Petals anally, even with plenty of lube.

Pleasure Petals is probably best used alone, due to her sheer length and girth. If you're looking for a vibrator to insert in one area while your partner penetrates you in another, then you'll want to keep moving along in the EdenFantasys catalogue. Because the pretty flower designs mostly pained me (especially while thrusting...ouch! It hasn't hurt that bad since I lost my virginity...), I couldn't penetrate myself very far with it. If you want a vibrator for clitoral stimulation during sex, Pleasure Petals is not the one--she's too bulky, too awkward, too cumbersome to deal with. You're better off with a bullet or egg, in that case.

Material / Texture

Pleasure petals is a plastic, hypoallergenic, latex-free vibe, which scores an 8 on the 1-10 scale for material safety, and also makes for easy and quick clean up. The non-porous material makes keeping Pleasure Petals easy to clean. I do like how soft the plastic is, which has a nice, velvety finish. Sometimes the hard plastic vibes irritate me during use, but that wasn't a problem with this vibrator. Even on the highest setting, it didn't rough up my lady bits. :) It's too bad that the design has to be raised from the vibrator--it could have been etched in, giving the Pleasure Petals a much smoother, sleek feeling, without compromising the pretty design and style. This could have improved this vibrator a lot, putting an emphasis on the pleasure part, more so than the petal part...and the petals are more like thorns, anyway.

Design / Shape / Size

While the design of the Pleasure Petals is pretty and feminine, again, I cannot understand why the flowers and vines are raised off of the vibrator--or at least, why the design isn't rounded off at the edges to keep the sharp, poky parts from hurting you. When it comes to sex toys, while I like an aesthetically pleasing object as much as the next person, the style should not get in the way of its function. People want something that feels good when they use it, not just a pretty thing to gaze at.

Pleasure Petals measures at seven inches, 6 1/2 which are insertable, and is 4 1/4 inches in circumference. That's all well and good, but since inserting this vibrator is actually painful, the length and girth becomes moot. It's then just a very large, awkward vibrator. You can try to pin-point your clitoris with this thing, but why go through the hassle when you could just get a nice bullet, egg or rabbit?

It's also not a discreet toy, that's for sure. It is very obviously a big pink vibrator. I could not see it being very travel friendly.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrating function is at the base of the vibe, and operates on a dial. The vibrations get more intense and LOUDER the more you turn the dial. And when I say loud, I mean loud. It sounds like you're running a blender when you turn it on it's highest setting, and even on it's lowest setting, while not sounding like it's about to launch like a rocket through your roof, it could easily be heard through a closed door. Other than the prickly flower design, the noise is probably the most unfortunate thing about this toy. Keep the cardboard battery casing in--it helps keep the vibrations down, even if just a bit. Even then though, if you live with other people, and are tying to be quiet or discreet, you aren't going get it with this toy. It practically announces your masturbation to the entire house.

And, unfortunately, Pleasure Petals is not waterproof. It's also worth nothing that it takes two C batteries to operate this noisy thing. Is it starting to seem like our pretty petals is a much higher maintenance good time than she's worth?

Care and Maintenance

Pleasure Petals is stored in my underwear drawer, quite unceremoniously wrapped up in my panties and socks. Since it's not small, it does take up a bit of room. I would recommend removing the batteries before stowing it away, especially if you're going to attempt to take her with you on your travels, as the dial turns on quite easily at the slightest grip.

Packaging

The packaging Pleasure Petals came in was just a simple plastic tube from EdenFantasys, which takes up even more room than the vibrator itself, so I haven't been using it for storage purposes.

Experience

Even with all these strikes against it, Pleasure Petals did eventually get the job done, and actually packs a pretty good punch. The vibrations are intense, and on the highest setting, too intense, though some women would love it. Once you find a good angle to get her in position, she does finally live up to the pleasure part of her name. There are nicer toys out on the market that could do the same thing for you, but since she was a free gift from EdenFantasys, I can't hold it against her too much.
Follow-up commentary
The Pleasure Petals does nothing but sit in my underwear drawer. I have since purchased much better vibes and have no use for this pretty pink chunk of disappointment. I even still have the second pair of C batteries that I bought specifically to use with the Pleasure Petals, and am trying to figure out what I'm going to use them for if not for this vibrator. Oh well.
