Supersex bullet vibe - bullet vibrator by LoveHoney - review by Petite Valentine

The most obvious spot to use this bullet vibe is the clitoris, but don't be afraid to use it on the neck, the arms, the legs, the back... anywhere you have skin! Skin is our largest organ and packed full of nerve endings, so don't neglect the majority in favor of boobs and pubes. Just be sure to avoid swollen or inflamed areas — having a mini-jackhammer pass over them is likely to make the situation worse. And of course, never use it on unexplained calf pain.

The packaging says "try holding [the bullet] alongside your partner's tongue during oral" but I'm going to recommend against that unless you fancy the idea of chipped teeth. This thing packs a wallop, you'll want to keep it away from anything breakable. I also recommend restricting it to external use. The petite, straight shape is perfect for disappearing where the sun doesn't shine. Unless a trip to the ER sounds like a hot time, the only cavity this bullet should enter is one on a compatible toy.

The Supersex Bullet Vibe is manufactured in Hong Kong for Lovehoney, Ltd. It is made of hard plastic which is shiny and smooth to the touch. The lightweight toy contains neither latex nor phthalates. Applied to bare skin, it travels quite nicely with little or no drag. With water-based lubricant (as recommended on the insert) it becomes a little hard to hang onto due to the slippery surface and powerful vibrations.

Fresh out the package it was clean and had no smell. After two months of infrequent use, I am happy to report it remains scent neutral.

The "bullet" name thankfully does not indicate a pointed tip. The vibe has a blunt end (with a tiny depression in the center) that easily lays flush against your body. The cushioned button on the opposite end is soft and I found it easy to manipulate with a single finger.



The entire vibe is about the size of your average lipstick (3¼") though much thinner (½"). It can easily fit in a purse or pocket and based on current regulations it should pass a TSA checkpoint with no problem and little to no embarrassment.



When the time comes to change the N size battery, the instructions are clearly visible on the inside of the tube:

The on/off push button is the only control on the vibe. If a gentle nudge doesn't start it, unscrew the cap and make sure you've removed the small paper that is placed between the battery and the coil to prevent discharge during shipment.

MAX is the word I use to describe the Supersex Bullet Vibe's single speed. It delivers intense vibrations when pressed firmly against the skin or when riding shotgun in a compatible toy.

However, with great vroom comes great noise. You're not going to be able to hide this for long once you turn it on. It can be easily heard through a door. It's also louder than an open tap. The bullet performed admirably under running water and when submersed, but watery surroundings didn't make it any quieter. Also, whatever you do don't drop the bullet in your tub or sink as it sounds like a firing AK-47 when it touches the sides.

Cleaning the bullet vibe is quick and easy. It can be washed with soap and hot water or you can use isopropyl alcohol to wipe it down. Since it is waterproof you don't have to be overly careful, just make sure the bottom portion is screwed tightly closed so no water reaches the battery compartment. To keep it in tip top shape, stick to the label recommendation: water-based lubricants only.

The one challenge to keeping the the Supersex bullet running is finding batteries for it. The slim vibe takes "N" batteries which are far less common than AAs or AAAs. Luckily a spare Kendal brand N is prepackaged, but once they run down your battery hunt begins.



Eden Fantasys carries N batteries but if you don't stock up ahead of time, you may be SOL when you run to the corner store in an emergency.

The Supersex vibe comes in an easy-open plastic 4½" x 7" see-through clam shell. One alkaline battery comes preloaded in the bullet (with a tiny paper disc to prevent drain) while the other is clearly visible in the lower, right-hand corner. The double-sides cardboard insert is black and white, with selected pink highlights. The front features an attractive nude couple caressing one another. The back has a picture of Tracey Cox and a brief quote from the author. Further down there is a 'how-to use' section and a dangerous (in my opinion) oral sex suggestion. Overall, the presentation is risqué yet classy.



Since the clam shell is much larger than the actual bullet, it's better to toss it. Unfortunately, there is no recycling symbol on the plastic (something which has proven common with most sextoy packaging).

I'm not really the vibe type, but Eden Fantasys offered this one as a free gift with an order so saying no seemed silly. It took me a few weeks to actually open the package to try it out, but when I did it impressed me with its power relative to its size. It benefits from the N-batteries which carry a greater charge than the small, round watch batteries more common to discreet vibes.

Unfortunately a steady buzz, no matter how powerful, is not going to get me off, because I am far too accustomed to the variety of larger vibrators like the Cupid Kiss. However, the slim shape of the Supersex Bullet Vibe makes it ideal for inserting it into larger toys. I prefer it over the Tantus Echo's included vibe because the Supersex fits more easily into the narrow cavity than the egg shaped one and the bullet is more potent to boot.

Still, the single speed quickly grows boring and since it requires another toy to keep my interest, I'm rating it only two stars. I would skip the Supersex Bullet Vibe as a purchase unless I was seeking to replace a similar vibe that had died.
