This wooden dildo in the Don Wand Treeze Line is most definitely built to last.
It arrived packaged in a simple plastic cover and inside sported a beautiful wooden dildo with a vibe that screws into it the center of the dildo, a tan, padded cover for storage along with two AA batteries and a small sample packet of water based lube. It has no overpowering smell as some toys tend to have which is a nice bonus.
The storage cover is divine and well padded so the toy will not get scratched or damaged. The design itself is beautiful and the texture of the wood is ultra smooth and sleek to the touch, no ridges or harsh edges to it at all. The wood sleeve is specially manufactured and the fibers of the wood are saturated with urethane resin and cured under a high pressure at a high temperature which makes this toy resistant to splitting or splintering. Safety was definitely in mind when this toy was made.
The insertable, screw in vibe sports 8 settings. It holds two batteries and there is a small piece of paper inside the compartment showing you which way the batteries go in which I found useful, just be sure to remove the paper before popping the batteries in. It boasts three speeds of vibration and 5 varying levels of pulsation and escalation. Even holding the actual vibe in my hand left it with quite an after tingle. It has one small button at the base of the vibe which controls the vibrations through the 8 different settings. You do however have to go through the whole selection to turn it off.
The best thing about this toy is the fact that the vibe is replaceable which means value for money. When the vibe dies you simply go out and purchase another without having to replace the whole toy. Alone the vibe is relatively quiet but when inserted into the wooden sleeve it is quite loud as the wood seems to enhance the noise levels so if you are slightly worried about noise then music in the background or lots of pillows are a good idea if you don't want it to be heard.
The dildo is unforgiving in its solid build and measures a nice 9 inches in length so very easy to hold. It has a decent sized girth measuring at about 1 1/2 inches at it's thickest point and an insertable 7 inches. The head of the dildo seemed to tease my g-spot when angled correctly and the shaft tapers in and out in all the right places creating a very realistic shape to it.
It warms very quickly to body temperature and is easy to wash with hot water and soap, you can also use a 10% bleach solution or toy cleaner. Both easily come apart for cleaning. This is the first wooden dildo I have had the pleasure of playing with and I am quite impressed. The free sample lube was perfect as well and wasn't sticky nor dried up. I love this design, absolutely stunning, so much I am tempted to plonk it in-between all my other ornaments on the bookshelf. I call it my wee totem pole of love.

I love the actual dildo part and the lip on the head makes for nice g-spot stimulation at the right angle but the vibe part is a let down. I don't like having to roll through all of the vibe settings to turn it off and the noise is off putting. I have now worked out if I screw it in tightly it reduces the noise BUT then I risk getting the actual vibe stuck and the end unscrews leaving the main part stuck in the sheath. Highly annoying. This could be a good toy but the vibe part needs to go back to the drawing board. I do use this quite a bit but nowadays I don't bother with the vibe and just use the Hitachi instead if I want a bit of vibration on the sheath. It is a girthy toy and this is a bonus in my books.

So you were able to confirm the vibe that comes with it is indeed waterproof?
Heya Happy Lady. The packaging indicates it is waterproof and the wooden sheath and the vibe seem so but I am not game enough to try this in the bath.I have however used it in the shower with my finger over the actual button. So far so good, I will do a follow up in two months time as well.
It is splash proof and the wooden sheath can be used in the shower alone too but I recommend popping it in the hot water cupboard after use to ensure proper drying out as the inside isn't coated.

Right now I can't find any I am enjoying this little guy, the only thing that annoyed me was the vibe rattling around in it.
Seriously, you consider the vibe "relatively quiet"? Ummm. Mine is INSANELY loud.
The vibe in the wooden sheath yes loud as mentioned, and in the link I have a video blog to show the difference but I don't view it as loud at all out of the wooden sheath nor do my partners and we have a variety of different vibe toys.
Just curious, were you aware of the price when you wrote this review? I'm not sure that a $70+ and the word "replaceable" should really go hand in hand. I'd expect an amazing vibe which lasts forever.
It's actually selling for a higher price on other sites since doing this review, $75 pounds on a uk site and $80US on another so yes value for money via EF. The vibe is replaceable "should" it ever die for any reason. So far no problems with mine but I will do a follow up post in a couple months to see how the vibe is lasting.
Interesting.. never really thought about a wood vibrator.
It's now used as a dildo I've not really worried about the vibration part anymore but the girth and the shape is something I still enjoy a hell of alot and it's one of my more used toys than others.
