Trying to refrain from calling it Apollo 1

Cute little rocket, but I guess I got a defective one. It went through batteries to where I was replacing them after each use. Then it burned out in a big way.

Pros:
Nice texture, cute, gentle buzz
Cons:
No variable speed, dead after little use

somewhat useful review
Variable speed would be nice, but comfort makes up for it. The texture is velvety and easy on tender bits - much nicer than the hard seamy plastic of older pocket vibes. This cleans up easily with soap and water or toy cleaner, and it air dries quickly. It's best stored in its bottle or in some non-textile wrapping because it picks up lint, though nothing that can't be washed off before use. But, having to defuzz your toys before use is annoying for me.

I'm a dildo gal and not much of a vibrator user. Most of the time I find them unpleasant and too harsh to use (as if somebody's shaving my twat with clippers for horses). Most vibes irritate me - or else my nerves go numb in protest. I got this one because previous reviewers said it was mild intensity. And I'm not gonna lie: the design and the cute little plastic bottle package was part of the reason I bought it (plus, it had this one in black... thank god, as I am averse to pink toys big time). This one is definitely mild. If you like a gentle clit buzz, this is a nice warm up. This is a good one for it. It's pretty quiet, but if you have thin walls or a roommate sleeping in the same room, it is better to go elsewhere to use it.

Big problem though... I only got about three uses out of it before it burned out. And I mean something happened where it got hot (and not in a good way); and then it seized up and died. I've had vibe motors give up, but this was scary. I've never had one overheat, especially to the point of being "uncomfortable to touch" (with my hand -- thankfully I'd dropped it while using it when it started heating up)! It's possible I got a defective one. It ate batteries like crazy (I use rechargeables), which might have been a sign that it was going bad.
