Tuyo - vibrator by Big Teaze Toys - review by Dame Demi

The Tuyo is one of the more unusual toys in my collection, and is definitely a very attractive addition. I have the pink and white version, which is made up of pearlescent white plastic, a band of pink silicone rimmed with chrome trim. I am normally not a fan of pink, but I just love the pink/pearl combination in the Big Tease line of toys.

The Tuyo is truly a massager that doubles as a discreet sex toy. When I first saw its totally spherical shape, my first thought was “I'll bet that will be great for working sore muscles” rather than “I can't wait to put that on my vagina.” After some severe threats and arm twisting, I managed to get hubby to allow me test it out on him as a massager.

The Tuyo only technically vibrates in the lower half of the sphere, but because of the hard plastic construction, the vibrations carry well throughout the toy. My favorite massage technique was just rolling it over hubby's back, shoulders and neck, which worked very well except for those few times I accidentally hit the power button and turned it off. I also found out that if you put too much pressure on the sides of the Tuyo that it has a tendency to turn off, which was somewhat disappointing.

The Tuyo runs on 3 AAA batteries, which fit into the top half of the sphere and pack a decent amount of power. The vibrations are not extremely loud, but they definitely can be heard on the higher settings especially. The power button also cycles through three speeds vibration, from soft to pretty strong, and 5 escalating/pulsating functions. My favorite setting, of course, is the high vibration. The Tuyo can be turned off by simply holding the power down for a few seconds, which is always a nice touch.

Now for the fun stuff! How does the Tuyo hold up as a sex toy? Fairly well, if you are looking for a broader and more diffuse stimulation of the genital area. I found stroking the lower half against my labia to be quite pleasant, and when I rested the base of the sphere on my clitoral area the vibrations were strong enough to get me off. It is not the most intense toy in the world, but it functions well as a mundane massager and still packed enough punch to get me there.

As I previously mentioned, the Tuyo is made of hard plastic and silicone, so please keep it away from any silicone-based lubricants. It is splash-resistant when the top is on tightly, so it can be used in the shower and is easy to clean, but it is not made to be submerged.
