The Velvet Touch Vibrator is a very good beginner toy. It is slim at about 1 inch in diameter, and not too long at 6 insertable inches in length. The pink version is a very pretty pink. The feel is very similar to (and I know this is strange) a Cabbage Patch Doll's face. It is smooth, not quite slick, but has a texture all it's own. It is definitely not intimidating in looks or feel. It is not the strongest toy out there, but it is good for a beginner, or those who want a softer touch.
There is a dial on the bottom of the Velvet Touch Vibrator that adjusts the vibrations from very soft and sensual to a medium level buzz. The transitions are smooth, since it is a continual dial, and not separated steps. It is easy enough to change the level even when in use, even using the same hand your holding it with. The tip is a rounded point, good for "spot treatment". When you need more concentrated attention... the end makes a very comfortable solution. The shaft of the Velvet Touch Vibrator holds the most vibrations, so it does work as a body massager, as well as a vibrator. I do not recommend the Velvet Touch Vibrator for anal play. It becomes very slippery when lubed up, and the base is not flared for safe anal play. For vaginal or external use, it is a very nice toy.

There are no phthalates, allowing the Velvet Touch Vibrator safe to use without a condom. It takes lube well, so feel free to use your favorite lube! It is also waterproof, so shower fun is possible. I’ve personally not had any problem using it in the shower or bath.

Getting rid of stains on my Velvet Touch vibe?

LinLinHi, I accidentally used my Velvet touch vibrator during my period (like I started going and I didn't notice that I was already spotting). Since then it has some mild yellowing (I got it in lavander) and I don't know how to get rid of the stains! It does not seem to have an odor or anything, but does anyone have any tips on how I can get rid of the stains? I love this toy and its my first and only one I own, but I'm so annoyed with the staining!
Any help would be appreciated! -
You could try cleaning it with a bleach solution, but honestly it might just be stained. I'd say that if it doesn't smell and you've cleaned it real well, that might just be it. It won't affect the usability at all though, which is good. :)

Or that the machine itself is faulty? I've had this toy for over four years, only had to change the battery once, and it has remained clean, odorless, retained its color, vibrations are as strong as when I first purchased/used it, and it never malfunctioned on it. Although it's a very inexpensive toy, it has outlasted all others in pleasure and in worth! Go for it!

I had mine for at least a year before it stopped working. When it stopped working, there was rust under the twisting part of the cap, so I likely caused it to stop working by not being careful when washing it. This was a FABULOUS toy when I had it, and I would buy another if I needed another basic vibe. For $13, you can't really go wrong. Don't abuse it (drop it, get the cap or insides wet) and it should last quite a while.

Thanks for point out about not using it for anal, good discussion of not needing a condom too (although you do if you want to share it!).
If you're sharing with someone with whom you are not fluid-bonded, condoms are still a good idea.
