Versatile Little LAYAspot

Nowhere else will you find a toy available in fantastically clashing pistachio and raspberry, like a daring flavor of ice cream. The LAYAspot fits as easily in your hand as it does against your body and its variable speed vibrations go from low and teasing to strong enough to do the job again and again. If you're looking for an easy go to vibe that makes you smile, come look at LAYAspot.

Pros:
Colorful, fun, strong, quiet, ergonomic, versatile, splash proof.

Battery insertion/power glitch is semi-annoying but fixable.

Use

The LAYAspot by Fun Factory is a versatile clitoral vibrator for solo and couple use. Ergonomically shaped, it nestles easily between the labia to stimulate the clitoris and surrounding area, and can be used both for solo masturbation, or nestled between partners for an extra buzz during penetrative sex (against one individuals clitoris). This toy is designed for use by female bodied folks, but feels good for male bodied people as well. Every occasion is a good occasion to use this toy, it's absolutely my favorite clitoral vibrator ever.

Material / Texture

The material of the LAYAspot is elastomer, which is slightly porous and therefore cannot be fully disinfected. For this reason, if you intend to share or use with a partner, you should slip a condom over it (which you CAN in fact do). The material of LAYAspot is somewhat grippy as opposed to the feel of hard plastic, which adds a little friction but slicks up well with lubrication. The LAYAspot works equally well for beginners as it does for advanced users.

Design / Shape / Size

I love the design of the LAYAspot. It's ergonomic and fits perfectly in the hand, and it's easy to direct the vibrating nose of the LAYAspot against your clit without turning the toy accidentally on and off. I'd like to note that the end with the cap is not the usable end, that is the end you hold in your hand. The toy is an ideal size for discreet use and it can easily be hidden or stored for travel.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations are located in the tip, but travel throughout the body of the toy. I prefer the solid vibration settings, though there are pulsation settings that you can cycle through. The toy is simple to use, push the + button to turn it on and increase vibrations, and then keep pressing + to get to the pulse settings, and press - to decrease vibration and turn the toy off again. The LAYAspot is very quiet, and is splash proof, making it suitable for the shower but not the bath.

Care and Maintenance

After use, a quick spray with toy cleaner and a rinse under the tap will clean the LAYAspot right up. You should store LAYAspot with batteries removed. The LAYAspot can be used with any lubricant, as elastomer does not react with silicone lubricant the way silicone sex toys do, making this a very versatile toy.

Packaging

The LAYAspot is packaged in a plastic display packaging surrounded by a Fun Factory branded cardboard box, and includes samples of Fun Factory's own toy lubricant. The packaging cannot be used as a storage box, and does not include a case for storage.

Personal comments

This is without a doubt my favorite vibrator. Available in a wide array of fun colors, it's strong, quiet, ergonomic, compatible with all lubricants and shower friendly. One thing I'd note is that there's potential for you to think it's broken when you first put batteries in. Sometimes the LAYAspot will turn on as soon as batteries are put in and you can't turn it off. Fun Factory suggests taking the batteries out and putting them in again while pressing the + and - buttons until you are able to close the cap and turn the toy off. After a minute or two tinkering with this, the problem is easily solved.

not sure but we have the Laya and the better than chocolate ( the music ed) both have their good points, but the laya is a little smaller and compact. Both were really well tho and the music seting is fun feature!

So my partner and i decided to check out this site and order a bunch of new items. I just ordered the LAYAspot and it should be here friday! Ehh i cant wait! How does everyone feel about this cute toy?
    • reading the MANY many reviews on the toy will give you a good idea about the overall feelings and consensus of the toys.
    • it's nice that there are so many user submitted reviews on this site. it's so hard to choose a toy, especially an expensive one, with only the manufacturer description.

  • LayaSpot Questions
    • So, I just posted a review of this toy on my blog and and am rereading some reviews here. I am seeing some discrepencies and have a few questions for you.

Some reviewers state that this is a waterproof toy but my instructions clearly state that it is only splashproof. Perhaps the instructions have changed? Maybe Fun Factory decided it wasn't really waterproof? If you have this toy, what did your instructions say?

Furthermore, a few people said that they received silicone based BodyFluid with their LayaSpot but I received their water based lube and, again, my instructions said not to use silicone based lube (I believe, can't find them).

Also, I think it's just me but my Layaspot pretty much smelled god awful when I got it. Anyone else?

Just looking for different experiences with these things..

I've heard that fun factory toys can stink to high heaven, and I have no idea why they would because they're supposed to be 100% silicone. I have other silicone toys and they don't smell at all. Maybe it's not the toy itself but the packaging that surrounds it? Sorry I'm not much help, but the smell that people talk about with FF toys is enough for me to be wary of buying one.

I have since pitched my instructions, but I think mine said splashproof rather than waterproof. I got the Toyfluid (water-based) lube, and mine was smell-free! All of my FF toys have been totally odorless, actually.
