The Love Candy by Kendra, the Vixen, manufactured by Evolved Novelties is a cute little g-spot vibrator that would be great for beginners or those who can't handle large in diameter toys. This non-threatening toy has five different functions for variety and two push buttons to accommodate whether you're left-handed or right-handed. Since it's waterproof, just add some water or silicone based lubricant for some easy gliding and enjoy the light vibrations anywhere you'd like!

Use

The Love Candy by Kendra, the Vixen, which is manufactured by Evolved Novelties, is designed with ladies in mind, specifically those who wish to add stimulation to their g-spot. This vibrator is not intended for anal use because it's very small in size and doesn't have a flared base.

The curved tip of the Vixen is the perfect shape for aiding in finding the g-spot and stimulating it with vibrations to hopefully get you to a g-spot orgasm. For beginners this vibrator would be perfect because it is slim in size at just 3/4" in diameter and 2 1/2" in circumference. Those who are new to penetrative toys or those who just can't handle larger sized diameters will most likely enjoy this vibrator. Size queens will not get anything out of this toy at all and should look elsewhere for their g-spot aids.

Using the Vixen in the bathtub or shower is an option since this toy is totally waterproof and submergible. It also makes cleaning the toy very easy but it should not be placed in boiling water or the dishwasher to sterilize it because it will most likely ruin the motor.

The Vixen could be used as foreplay to tease and torment before using other toys or having sex or it could be used during sex to add some stimulation to the clitoris while being penetrated by your partner. Solo use is always a great option because who knows your body better than you? Just be sure to lubricate the vibrator and discuss with your partner how you'd prefer to use the toy to avoid accidental injuries.

Material / Texture

Being made from PU coated plastic earns the Vixen a safety rating of 7 out of 10 on the Eden materials safety scale. This means that PU coated plastic is latex and phthalate free, smooth and almost powdery to the touch, and has only a slightly plastic-y type of odor to it. It is also very rigid and has a low porosity level, but always cover it with a condom if you're sharing with someone who isn't fluid bonded with you. Otherwise just clean and sterilize it between each use or switching of orifices.

The Vixen comes in Purple/White or Pink/White here on Edenfantasys and I received the Purple/White one. The battery cap is also made from PU coated plastic but the push buttons are made from translucent silicone. The PU coated plastic material is matte in appearance and will grab on skin so lubricating the vibrator is most likely required for an easy gliding effect. Water and silicone based lubricants are compatible with this toy.

Design / Shape / Size

The Vixen is a straight up and down traditional style vibrator with the exception of the two ends. The "head" end is curved for g-spot stimulation and has a raised ridge that runs down the shaft to add texture to the toy. The battery cap end, the white part, is ergonomically shaped in that it has finger holds where it can be gripped easily during use. On either side of the battery cap there is a translucent silicone push button that lights up blue when the toy is on and there is a clear colored waterproofing ring that separates the white battery cap from the purple shaft, but it's also very effective in keeping water out of the toy.

The shape and size of the toy make the Vixen very easy to use, even for beginners to toys. It also is very easy to hide in its handy storage bag and case but it isn't very discreet noise-wise. It can be quite loud on the highest setting, enough to be heard through blankets and probably a closed door so dorm use is not suggested with this one.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Vixen is controlled using simple push buttons that are located on either side of the battery cap end of the toy. Both buttons do the same thing when you use them, there's just two of them because they wanted this toy to be easy to use for both left-handed and right-handed people. One push of either button will turn the toy on in a low steady vibration and each blue light under both buttons will steadily glow. The buttons are not lockable for travel so removing the batteries before packing the Vixen away would be suggested to avoid vibrating luggage. The five different functions are described as follows:

1. Low steady vibration
2. Medium steady vibration
3. High steady vibration
4. Fast pulsing (lights pulse along)
5. Low-high escalation (lights escalate as well)

Vixen is quite buzzy vibrationally speaking and it is not very strong, even on its highest setting. Two Vrooms is about all this little vibrator has going for it which is unfortunate but beginners may be able to appreciate the low intensity better than advanced users. The vibrations are easily felt in the biggest part of the ridge on the shaft and they do an okay job of traveling to the tip of the toy. This vibrator is also fairly loud while in use, about three Bees, and it will be heard through blankets and maybe through a closed door. It's not very discreet so use it with caution if you live in a dorm room or with other people.

While fully submerged in water for a few minutes this toy kept on buzzing away and never collected even a single drop of water in the battery compartment or on the two AAA batteries that power it. Using a silicone lubricant for water play is suggested since water based lubricant will most likely just wash away.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning the Vixen is easy since the toy is waterproof; just wash with warm water and antibacterial soap or a toy cleaner or wipe it down with some toy and body wipes. To sterilize the Vixen you can wipe it down with some isopropyl alcohol or a 10% bleach solution but be sure to rinse it off thoroughly afterwards to avoid getting harsh chemicals in sensitive body areas.

Storing the Vixen is easy too since it comes with its own storage pouch and vegan leather storage container. The storage pouch is not a drawstring bag and is kind of a pain in the butt to get the toy in/out of but the storage container is perfect to keep the vibrator hidden and safe from other materials or dust and hair. The tube just slides apart and in goes the toy. Once inside you can store this toy wherever you'd like to keep it but be sure to put it where animals and small children won't get a hold of it.

Packaging

The Love Candy by Kendra, the Vixen came packaged in the usual lightweight cardboard box. In this case the box was white with a leather kind of texture in the background and photos of the toy all around the sides of it. The back of the box shows three other toys in the same line by Evolved Novelties and lists some information about the Vixen. It also lets you know there is a five year warranty on the toy and gives you directions on how to use the vibrator.

Inside the box is the vegan storage container which holds the toy inside a plastic baggy which is then inside the storage pouch. It reminds me of a nesting doll with so many layers of packaging.

The packaging is not discreet at all and should be wrapped if you're gifting it someone else and recycled wherever possible when it is empty. There were no warranties or instruction booklets included in the packaging but this was easy to figure out without them.

    • Not discreet
    • Recyclable

Experience

Using the Vixen was fun but it just didn't do it for me. It's too weak and buzzy to satisfy me and my g-spot does not like being poked by the pointy end. Other than that this toy is interesting, I like that they thought of left and right-handed people, I can't tell you how many times I've been disappointed with button placement due to my southpaw. I did have this toy completely submerged in a sink full of water and turned on to see what would happen and to my surprise after drying off the outside, it was bone dry inside the battery compartment. There weren't even any little droplets in there!

I can see beginners who just moved out of their parents house enjoying this toy the most since its small in size and not intimidating, but it is very noisy and thus not discreet at all. Would I suggest this toy to others? I can't honestly say that I would, unless they haven't tried any other toys yet.
