Lucid dream no. 7 - g-spot vibrator by Doc Johnson - review by nebbish

Lucid Dreams no 7 is supposed to be a great G-spot vibe. It's intended for internal use, but you could easily use it for just clitoral stimulation. The ergonomic shape makes clitoral stimulation really comfortable: it seriously curves over your whole slit area, with the bullet-style vibe on the inside sitting perfectly over your clit. It's waterproof, so you can even use it in the bath or shower, which is nice. That wonderful ergonomic shape, however, makes it difficult for use with a partner. It's a little thick for anal use, but I could see using it there too.

No 7 has a very distinct smell. It smells a bit latex-y and though I've had mine for almost a year I can tell you that it definitely still smells. I wouldn't say it's strong enough to be bothersome, just noticeable. This vibe is made out of a firm jelly, which is, unfortunately, amazingly flexible. The texture is completely smooth and has absolutely no impact on feeling.

This material, while soft and comfortable, soaks up lube like nobody's business.

I definitely like the shape of this vibe. It's pretty much an S shaped shaft. Maybe a little more squiggle shaped than S, but the point is that it's been ergonomically designed to fit your body almost perfectly. If using internally, the tip hits the G-spot area quite nicely. If using externally, as I mentioned before, because of the squiggle shape the toy fits snugly against your mound.

My biggest complaint is the placement of the bullet vibe inside the jelly. It's positioned closer to the base of the shaft than the top or middle. This means that unless the little bullet is, say, directly on your clitoris, the vibrations aren't very strong at all.

Because of the placement of the bullet and the fact that the material is so flexible, I found trying to get good G-spot stimulation very difficult. It felt nice, but I wasn't able to apply any sort of pressure because of the jelly's give. And again, because of positioning, the vibration doesn't really reach the tip of No 7.

No 7 is easy to hold, but a bit tricky when using internally because the shaft is a bit long. There's also no real handle, so you're essentially holding the end of the shaft, right where the bullet is. After a few minutes, your hand goes kind of numb from the buzzing.

The one thing I absolutely loved about this toy was the noise level. This toy was incredibly quiet! When living with other people, this is a HUGE plus! I only live with my boyfriend, but noisy toys are incredibly distracting in the heat of the moment so I'm glad to say I didn't have that problem.

The controls are attached to the vibe via a wire, which was quite long. The control box itself was a bit large, but I didn't find this to be a problem. You could easily operate the toy while using it without needing to stop to adjust. There are four settings, which are simply levels of intensity. The first one I found really lame and the highest one was just okay. I like my vibrators kind of strong, and I can say that this one is definitely NOT very strong. If you are more sensitive, this might actually be perfect for you.

I'd say this vibe has average battery life. You can get quite a few uses out of it, on high even, before you need to replace them.

Because No 7 is made out of jelly, it's incredibly easy to clean off. It's totally smooth, so you don't have to worry about any kind of sneaky gunk in cracks or crevices. A simple wipe down with a toy wipe is completely perfect, which is nice. Also, since it's waterproof, if you are washing using good ol' fashioned water you don't have to be careful about which bits you're rinsing.

The packaging for this toy was, in my opinion, really nice. The Lucid Dreams toys all come packaged in clear plastic boxes. The toy is prominently displayed in the box with the name and some information surrounding it. I did find the instructions and other information to be very informative. This included how to change the batteries to asure that No 7 remains waterproof.

Personally, I didn't really like this vibe. It's okay, and the shape of it feels really nice when I use it internally, but it wasn't strong enough vibrationally for me. I also didn't like how flexible it was. I need to be able to apply some pressure to stimulate my G-spot. Just having something there in that area isn't enough for me. I also didn't care for the position of the vibe. Because it's towards the bottom, it wasn't positioned well enough for G-spot fun, and I honestly don't think the vibrations translated well towards the top of the shaft.


My best experience was in the bathroom. I laid under the faucet & used No 7 internally, and it was perfect! On it's own however, it definitely leaves something to be desired. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing another. I'm also quite skeptical on other Lucid Dreams products since a lot of them are built similarly and made of the same material.
