The I Rub My Penguin Vibrator is best used as an external vibrator, and is great for use underwater since it is completely waterproof. He is great for those who like cute designs, and is the perfect discreet vibrator. At a glance (and even picking him up) no one will know what he is, because the toy does not have any switches to turn him on or off.

I think that beginners will not be threatened by this adorable penguin, and will find him versatile. The vibrations are much stronger than I thought they would be, but those who need deep or strong vibration will want to shy away from this one.

The I Rub My Penguin is made from very hard and smooth rubber. The black parts of the rubber (mainly the penguin's back) has more of a matte finish which gives you a bit more "drag" against the skin. I think this is great because it helps you grip the penguin better than if he was entirely smooth all over. I didn't notice any taste or smell coming off of the toy.

I think the penguin is best suited to anyone who does not like a lot of texture to their toy. The beak or the head of the toy can be used to provide more pinpoint stimulation, if you desire.

I am a big fan of whimsical and fun designs, so I really like my penguin. He's fun, stands up on his own with no help, and is easy to use. He fits comfortably in my hands, and I enjoy rubbing his wide smooth belly on my clitoris.

This is one sturdy little penguin, and I would have no problem with throwing him in my suitcase. It's really not obvious at all what the penguin's real use is, and he is small enough that he really doesn't take up much room.

The best thing about this penguin, in my opinion, is how you turn it on! You squeeze his belly (which is a bit stiff, so you need to apply some pressure!) and he has three modes. For such a small penguin, he definitely has a strong vibration going on, which ranges from 1-3 in intensity. The vibrations are mainly in his tummy, and none of them have any variation, meaning they are all one straight "hum". To turn the penguin off, you're going to have to cycle through the modes until you have gone through them all. Luckily, there's only three. The sound of the I Rub My Penguin is pretty quiet, so you needn't worry about other's overhearing your toy.

One thing which is a major pain in the neck with this toy is his battery compartment. They made it almost impossible to get the battery compartment open without help of some kind. I use a quarter. There's a "slot" that you can slide the quarter into and turn, to get the cap to come off. You can then slide two AA batteries (not included!) into the compartment, and use your quarter again to get the cap to close.

Since the I Rub My Penguin is made out of rubber, you're not going to want to use it without a condom with anyone you're not fluid bonded with. He is pretty easy to clean, soap and water or a toy cleaner should do the trick, but since he is porous, he is never going to be able to be sterilized.

Rubber is compatible with both water or silicone based lubes, so you can choose whichever you like best!

I keep my I Rub My Penguin on the edge of the bath, and I have no problems with keeping him there. If you live in a room mate situation, you probably won't want to do that, but keeping him even out on a dresser should not be a problem. He just looks like a cute little penguin toy, and unless someone picks him up and starts pressing (hard!) on his tummy, they're not going to figure it out.

The I Rub My Penguin comes in a typical NON discreet see-through plastic case. It's flimsy plastic, and there's really no way you'll be able to re-use it since you'll have to cut the box open to get the penguin out.

The toy comes with an instruction booklet which shows you how to put the batteries in, as well as how to use it. It also comes with a little leaflet showing you all the other toys in the "I Rub My..." line.
