Will get you started -- until it breaksWhile I enjoyed the Layaspot, I don't think that it's worth the money as it doesn't last very long before breaking. It's a great discreet vibe for the time it lasts, but it isn't strong enough for most Hitachi users unless they like a warm up like I do.
Fits in the palm of your hand, easy to clean
Breaks too easily, low speed vibes are pathetic, higher speed vibes may still not be enough for some
I have owned 2 of these vibrators, and I really enjoyed them until each one of them broke. I used this vibe to get me revved up for the intense vibes of the Hitachi. It rarely ever gave me an orgasm because it isn't strong enough for me, but sometimes the Hitachi has too much power when you're warming up. This vibe is the perfect toy to get you ready. Overall, I would not recommend this vibe to those who want strong, intense vibes, because there are so many other vibes that can give you a variety of intensity settings that could do the job. Also, it's used for external clitoral stimulation only, and it isn't the toy for a person who would want to have both internal and external stimulation. Furthermore, this vibe is not waterproof, but it is water resistant. When this sleek vibe came out initially, they said that it was waterproof. That's how my first one died. Later on, I found that they retracted its waterproof status. So, I decided to buy another one, and despite not using it in the water, it died too.
The vibe is made out of elastomed, which is a cousin of elastomer. It's safer than elastomer, as it is nonporous and hypoallergenic. It has a smooth texture, and the material has absolutely no give. I would say it has the feel of plastic.
The toy is designed to fit in the palm of your hand, and it easily glides over your clitoris and labia. The head is about an inch wide for broad stimulation. The Layaspot is small and discreet, so it would be very suitable for travel. It could easily fit into a vanity bag.
The buttons are easy to press for the various functions. There are a couple different pattern settings, but I don't like different pulsations, and I never used them. So, I can't comment on whether or not they did the job. The toy is great for beginners who would like to try a low intensity vibe. If you like only intense vibes, the Layaspot is not the vibe for you. The first speed is really pathetic in strength, and only the last two speeds are worth talking about. The Layaspot is NOT waterproof -- I learned that the hard way!
It's really easy to care for as there are few crevices, and the toy is very smooth. Because it's made of elastomed, you can use it with both water-based and silicone lubes, making it compatible for couples sex for those who prefer silicone lubes. Overall, it's kind of difficult to find a vibe that's great for couples sex that's not made of silicone.

I haven't been able to use it since it broke many months ago. I hope others have a better experience.
