Won't Stay Unless They Hurt
These clamps have a lot of good features to them. They are adjustable, vibrate, and don't have cords. Theoretically, you could attach where ever you want to feel some vibration. Just realize that they won't stay on unless there is quite a bit of pressure involved which usually means it hurts. Might be good for those that might want to bring some pain into their sex lives.Published: July 23, 2008

I don’t have a lot of pleasant things to say about the One Touch Micro Vibro Clamps. I suppose I can chalk it up as just a failed experiment on my part. Here are the problems: my nipples just aren’t that sensitive, and my female partner’s nipples are just too sensitive for this application. What’s that you say, too sensitive? Well, fully loaded with batteries, these Clamps have some weight to them. In order to get them on well enough to stay put while standing and moving about required them to pinch harder than I anticipated. The clamp portion is adjustable so that it doesn’t pinch too much, but it was impossible to find the right balance between too hard of a pinch for her and not being held in place. I guess that it didn’t really help that she was not a very willing recipient of the pain either. This means that they might be good for others, but they just didn’t seem that good for us.
I never let an initial failure stop me from trying out different things to see if a toy can be used in other ways. I was able to put them on my nipples and get them to stay, but we both said I looked pretty ridiculous and the vibration just did not do much for me. After a little while my nipples were becoming numb and it was more of an irritation than anything else. I removed them after just a few minutes. I also did attach one of the clamps to my scrotum. This was mildly interesting, again finding that perfect balance between getting it to stay in place and not pinch too hard was very tricky. I thought I finally had it down, and then after activities got a little more interesting it slipped right off. I don’t know if the skin tightened up due to my erection or what, but the clamp just couldn’t stay in place through our activity. I presented the idea of attaching it to my partner’s clit but was met with “hell, no!” look on her face, so we didn’t even try that. I then thought to myself that they might be useful as a regular bullet vibe just ignoring the clamps, but we have plenty of bullet vibes that use three watch batteries instead of two, so those should be more powerful and some have adjustable vibration as well which the clamps do not have.
All in all, our foray into nipple clamps was pretty much a failure. I guess it was one of those areas that I thought we shouldn’t disregard until we at least gave it a shot. I can now say that we did give it a shot and it just seems like it isn’t for us. I don’t mind too much as it wasn’t like I paid very much for them.

I don't think I could, in a million years, get my husband to wear these nipple clamps. All the pictures I show to him elicit a plain 'ol "NO!" So kudos to you for trying these, even though they didn't do much for you. Great review as always Jimbo!

It doesn't look like it, but are the clamps designed to be somewhat adjustable by tightening/loosening a screw, or are they too small to have that option?

Betty, I will take that as a compliment, but please realize that I did not pinch my actual balls with them just the skin of the ball sack which can feel really good when it is massaged but is not as sensitive as you might think. However, if I really had balls of steel I would probably try to stick magnets to them.

Thanks, vanillafree. I figure I'm not doing my job as a reviewer very well if I don't try things out in different ways. These did end up being a pretty cheap example of this type of toy, but we haven't really tried another because it seems like the concept is just going to hurt and we aren't that much into pain in the bedroom.

You are welcome, salaciousrex. The whole mechanism is being held by the clamp, so it can be a little weighty. It's possible that a person would enjoy the whole experience, so if you do go with these, I hope you appreciate them more than we did.
