Yeah, Twisted All Right

I definitely don’t recommend this toy. I think the vibrations are a joke, and the shape is just too awkward for insertion. If you don’t need very strong vibrations to get the job done, then this toy is right up your alley.

Use

The Twisted Hearts Seduction is a simple vibrator from Doc Johnson. I think this is best used as a clitoral vibe because I don’t think many people can comfortably insert this without much pain. There is no flared base, so I would advise against using this anally. There is a thick O-ring to protect the battery compartment, so I do believe you can submerge this vibrator with no problems.

Material / Texture

This is made of TPR. There is no give to this toy what so ever. It feels like the TPR coat is covering a harder material such as plastic. It is rather sticky, and will pick up most loose particles it comes into contact with. There is a seam around the toy, but it is hardly noticeable.

The toy oozes a disgusting bitter tasting chemical, which makes me question the safety of inserting this toy at all. With multiple washes, it’s still not gone. There’s no awful smell to worry about though.

Design / Shape / Size

The design is really cute, however it isn’t all that effective as a good vibrator. The toy is called twisted heart because each half is in the opposite way. This means it has two large flaps, one on each end which makes it very difficult to insert.

It is 5 1/2" in length, and for those who dare to insert it, it is 4 inches insertable. The circumference is really girthy, measuring 5 1/2" at the head, but the flap sticks out an additional half an inch. The head is dome shaped, so there’s no tapered tip to ease insertion at all, so I think you really have to know what you are doing if you want to use this toy internally. For those who would rather use this as a clitoral vibe, the toy is very thick, so you are only going to get broad stimulation.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrator uses a turn dial control to increase or decrease the vibrations. The turn dial is smooth, and plush with the toy, so it would be extremely difficult to turn with lubed up hands because there are no rough edges to grip on to. It runs on two AAA batteries, not included of course. The vibrations are really weak, so just don’t waste your batteries on this toy.

The vibrations are weak and defused. The entire toy vibrates, but are more noticeable at the head. It might be heard through a closed door if there is nothing on to mask the sound. The vibrations are a little more on the buzzy side, so your fingers may become numb after extended use.

Care and Maintenance

This toy will pick up so much lint and other fuzzies, it’s a good idea to wash it before and after each use. A good rinse with warm water and antibacterial soap or toy cleaner should do the job. You can use either silicone or water based lubricants with this toy. Since the material is somewhat porous, you should put a condom on it if you plan on sharing it. If you dare to keep it, store it in a little pouch or bag to prevent loose particles from sticking to it.

Packaging

The packaging is not discreet since you can clearly see the toy inside of it. All the product information is on the packaging, but it is very general information. The box and plastic tray are rather bulky, so I wouldn’t use it for storage.

Experience

This was a toy I got as a free gift with my order. I think the $26.99 price tag is too steep for a mediocre toy. The bitter tasting chemical from this toy is really bothersome. This is not something I feel comfortable using or having around my other toys. I won’t even let it touch my body without putting a condom over it. I have other TPR toys, and they’ve never had this chemical added to them. Of course there’s nothing on the packaging that states what the toy has been treated with. I’ve grown to be very suspicious about what companies add/put in their products, so just be cautious if something seems off.

I quickly got rid of this one because it wasn't doing much for me accept taking up room. It would be better if it was a bit smaller. I won't be missing it.

Mine has that nasty taste too. No way am I even going to try inserting it, and I've since banned it to the 'never use again' pile because of the chemical. It just freaks me out. Good review, glad I'm not the only one who got freaked out by the taste.

It looked partially melted coming straight out of the box as if someone had poured silicon lube on a side of it. So I went to open the other one I had and the same thing was happening to the other. My sub had one of these too and his was affected with the same thing. Could this have possible been a bad batch [we got them from when they were giving them out as free gifts with any order] Has anyone else had this problem with this toy?

  • Using unconventionally designed toys.
    • I appreciate being creative as much as any other toy user, but sometimes I just want unusual products to come with suggestions in the style of airplane emergency cards. Just a nice visual rundown of possible uses and positions. I have some graphic design skills, maybe that's my calling?
    • Some toys do; it really depends on the toy. I know The Cone did have some illustrations with it - as did the Joya toys. Some don't, though, but reviews are usually pretty good at talking about how they used it, and you can usually get some good ideas from those!
