Petite couture Euphoria - traditional vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by Pumpkin Lady

The Petite Couture Collection by California Exotics is the new little sister line of vibrators from the larger series, the Couture Collection. These vibes are smaller in size and therefore are more affordable than their counterparts. All are made from medical grade Japanese Silicone. On that note, if anyone yet knows the difference between “regular” silicone and Japanese Silicone, please enlighten me.

Let me first say that I was pleasantly surprised with the Euphoria. My personal opinion of CE has been that of a quickly manufactured product with a short lifespan. I also noticed a lack of advertising of their concern for consumers’ health, which is an appreciated trend with many of the newer companies today. CE may be catching on by including the type of material on the box with this Couture Collection, which in other lines has been completely left out or in the smallest print possible. The packaging is also actually on the elegant side and it’s priced fairly. Now, how does it hold up?

The cute and sexy Euphoria arrived in a classy box devoid of any cute and sexy women. There actually aren't any women. Just a picture of the pink vibe and a surface of water, inviting you to partake in some water games together. After removing the bubble wrap, I found Euphoria enclosed in a Styrofoam bag, concealing a strange perfumey smell! I was a little shocked, silicone is supposed to be unscented. The smell was faint, and it did disappear after the first wash so I would chalk it up to the packaging itself. On the other hand, I do still feel a little fishy about this Japanese Silicone vs. “regular” Silicone.

I would like to note that despite my uncertainties about Japanese Silicone, I fell in love with the feel of the velvety-smooth surface. It's slightly squishy if you squeeze it hard with your hand, and you can also feel the vibrating bullet at the top. Euphoria is shaped traditionally and slightly resembles an old-fashioned Popsicle with ridges alongside the length. This is a great clitoral vibrator. The rounded tip works for accurate clitoral stimulation, and the ridges provide a nice foundation for clitoral pressure. When used for insertion, first time users won't be intimidated and expert toy fiends will appreciate the seamless quality and bounce-back bending ability. Please don’t use this anally as there is no flared base.

Euphoria takes two AAA batteries. The battery compartment is a bit difficult for me to twist open, as it feels like the batteries are stuffed tightly inside and want to jump out. After opening it there is a very small O-ring to maintain the waterproof feature, however I can only contend that it is splash proof due to just shower use and cleaning.

The power of Euphoria is moderate considering it only takes AAAs. The noise level is in turn VERY quiet, with the lowest setting like a whisper and the highest setting still very quiet under blankets. With a light click of the power button at the bottom of the toy, both the buttons light up red letting you know Euphoria is on. You then progress through the seven different functions. It starts with three graduating vibration levels, then an escalating vibration, a quick pulsation, a quicker pulsation, then a quick-quick-long vibration. There is no easy way to skip to your desired function, unless you want to turn it off and start at the beginning again. Also, during use it is very easy to accidentally shut it off. I found it inconvenient to turn it to the side to avoid powering off. I didn't like having to turn it back to the front every time I wanted to change the setting.

Because I don't share my toys, a simple cleaning with anti-bacterial soap and warm water before and after use is sufficient for me. If you'd like to sterilize Euphoria a 10% bleach to water solution would be ideal to wipe it down with. My cat's hair gets all over this thing, so I store it in the bag it came in away from where dust and lint can collect. Another way to maintain longevity is to only use a water based lubricant with silicone products.

All in all I am very impressed with the Euphoria. Now that I've tried the petite version, the original is going on my wish list immediately.

While this isn't one of the dreamiest vibes I own, I absolutely have room for it in the toy chest. The combination of the sweet low hums and soft texture are great to get me warmed up for playtime. Euphoria does not claim to feel anything like skin, but it surprised me in that it’s the closest I have gotten without trying to attain the skin-like feeling.

When I'm inserting Euphoria it feels great; it's bendy enough for me to use briskly. Thrusting with Euphoria eventually gets me begging for another toy, usually a one with a G-spot head because while it does bend (and tease), it doesn't hit my G-spot.

I did notice that the chrome finish on the battery pack from previous experiences is the kind that can flake off, though this hasn't happened yet. It does however say to me that though this toy may be revolutionary for CE, it is still a CE toy. I have had my new Euphoria for less than one week, and one of the button's coatings is starting to peel. I would also like to make note that the buttons are not externally sealed over to protect from water, though I have not (yet) submerged the entire thing to test it.
