While I wouldn't consider myself an expert on this as I haven't had that many toys before, the Tenga Flip Hole is really pretty easy to use. The instruction booklet it comes with is simple and readable.

You start off by removing the outer shell piece, which allows the toy to flip open. You lube it up, close it, flip it over, and reattach the shell. Then stick it in and you're good to play to your heart's content. The toy is pretty easy to use with your hands-you can use one or both. You have the option of pressing any of the three "buttons" (in reality a one-piece pad attached to the inner silicone) to increase suction and pleasure. I'm of average to slightly larger than average size and I've had no problems with size, although for guys any larger than 6 inches it might not take the entire shaft. Whether that's a concern or not is up to you.

Made of silicone and plastic, it comes with (like most silicone toys) a gently sickly sweet smell. I've found that over time this smell dies out on me, and it wasn't strong enough to bother me in the first place. The housing of the toy itself is a durable plastic. The plastic of the outer piece that holds the toy together is the same plastic, albeit thinner (and as a result less durable). The membrane on the inside is silicone, and is glued onto the plastic housing of the toy, except for the "control pad", which is glued onto a separate detached piece of plastic which allows the control pad to function as intended.

The texture of the toy's outside (not that it really matters) is a shiny, smooth plastic. The inside of the toy is where the texture comes into play. The Tenga Flip Hole Black houses a variety of textures from top to bottom, all of which are incredibly interesting (but none of which feel like an actual vagina, not that that's a bad thing). It starts out with these interlocking crossing walls which are intended to be a challenge to penetrate. Following that is a section of orbs with little "clickers" on them, and after that on one side there is an orb with a slit, and another smaller orb inside. On the other side it's sort of a basketball pattern. I can't say for sure I've felt all of these textures in great detail individually, but combined they do make a hell of a ride.

The design of the toy is staggeringly simple. Therein lies the beauty of it. It worked absolutely perfectly the way it is. It worked exactly as it was supposed to, with no issues.

Size-wise, it's bigger than I expected when I first saw it. In terms of fit, it worked very well for a guy my size. If you're much larger than average it won't fit all the way in, but if you're anything below you should be okay. The company states that the flip hole black is tight. This is very true. However, fit shouldn't be an issue barring that. It's a tight fit that was intended to be as such.

The toy is pretty easy to hide. It's not massive. It doesn't necessarily look like a sex toy, although if anyone knows anything about toys they're probably going to know what it is.

The big difference between the flip hole and most other masturbators is the ability to flip and the piece of plastic that keeps it together. my one gripe was that you had to look very carefully to align the plastic with the rest of the housing to keep it together. If you weren't absolutely spot-on the plastic shell comes on crooked and it doesn't keep the toy together. It's also likely to make the plastic shell piece break if you're not careful. Apart from that, it's very well designed.

The control pad does aid in suction. There is a gentle learning curve on it, but once you get it it will definitely enhance pleasure you get in the middle of the toy. I enjoyed pressing the bottom and middle bit of the control pad while I was deep in the toy. I guess different strokes for different folks, but personal experiences aside I feel like it can add to the pleasure for anyone.

Warning, this toy is notably loud. The suction combined with the lube...well...it makes noise. So be careful with it. I've found that if you work with it at a certain angle or a certain depth you might find some quietness though. Guess it's all how you play with it. But, it has the potential to be loud.

You can probably store the toy anywhere. Plain sight might not be the best idea, but anywhere dry is okay. Because it's not motorized temperature shouldn't matter. This toy is very low maintenance overall.

The best part of the Tenga Flip Hole series? EASILY the cleanup. Tenga has made cleaning up after playtime a breeze. Simply slide off the plastic shelling and flip it open. Run it under the sink using warm water, soap, and a dry paper towel and voila! Good as new.

I find it works very well with water based lubes. I think silicone based lubes are likely to damage the toy, so be careful.

Packaging is gorgeous and simple. Again, Tenga. Perfect! A soft plastic shelling on the outside with harder plastic inserts on the top and bottom to keep it together. It is resealable so it can be used as a storage container for the toy. However, the container is a cylinder, so it may roll if you place it on its side. The lubes have convenient little holes in the packaging for them. The packaging is recyclable if you choose not to keep it around, and it comes with an excellent and short picturesque instructional booklet to teach you how to use it.

I had a lovely experience with the toy. Can't wait to get my partner involved.
