An Unfortunate MishapThe Pleasure Web was an excellent toy while the bullet lasted. The many other features make this toy a fun, easy-to-use, and inexpensive option for any couple. We definitely enjoyed it while it lasted and we are definitely keeping the ring for future use with a functional bullet.
Comfortable, Multiple settings, Easy to use, Attractive Packaging, Interesting Design
Bullet malfunctioned after use the first time
The Pleasure Web is great for couples, but because of its design, it can probably be used during solo play. It is excellent for foreplay or during intercourse. The bullet is also removable, so it has use beyond its intended purpose. There are quite a few ways to use this toy, since it has several possible combinations and can even include another bullet vibrator for twice the buzz.
The ring itself is a nice, stretchy material. I worried at first about whether it would fit my boyfriend, since it didn't seem very stretchy, but he described it as being nicely snug and comfortable. It stayed in place and stretched to fit the bullet as well. The texture of the bullet is straightforward: smooth, straight, and has a flat head. I wish that perhaps the tip was rounded instead, since that might be more pleasurable for clitoral stimulation.
The shape of the ring itself is interesting. It is, as the title suggests, shaped like a spider web with a hole in the middle. The bullet is dark-colored and shaped like a traditional bullet vibrator. One thing that I noticed was that it seemed as though the bullet was too big for the ring. On the package, the illustrations of the toy showed a much thinner bullet, which would probably have been easier to fit through the designated holes in the ring.
In order to turn on the vibrator, one only needs to press on the bottom of the bullet. This may be a bit difficult since it requires a bit of pressure in order to turn on. Once the vibrator is on, any subsequent presses will alternate between vibration patterns, ranging from light to medium to high vibrations before switching to a pulsating pattern. In order to turn the bullet off, you have to hold down the button for a few seconds.
The Pleasure Web itself is made out of TPR, which means that cleaning the toy is easy. According to the TPR material page, one can simply wash with warm water and soap or use a mild cleaner. I would take extra care to clean out some of the grooves on the "web" itself.
The ring and bullet came in a plastic package, pictured above. It has an interesting design and shape and I did enjoy the artwork. It isn't very discreet, though: the ring and the bullet are in plain view, and it says "The Pleasure Web" along the bottom. The back of the package is very informative. It shows all of the different ways that you can use the bullet and ring (or with an additional bullet, sold separately). I thought that some of the pictures were a bit redundant, though, since they were using the ring and bullet in the same way, but turned at a different angle.
It does come with helpful instructions, though. I also was able to replace the toy in the package when I was done using it. The package is sealed with some adhesive bits of circular tape, which I carefully removed so that I could place the items back into the package when not in use.
My boyfriend decided to use the bullet on me for foreplay before we used it during intercourse with the ring. After a few minutes of using it, the bullet started acting up. It began buzzing very softly and eventually turned off. We messed with the batteries a bit and managed to turn it back on, but it would only stay on one setting (which we couldn't change) and refused to turn off. We've fiddled with it since, but haven't been able to get it working properly again. We don't have any other batteries that would work, so I'm not sure if it was a battery malfunction or issues with the bullet itself. It was an unfortunate end to an otherwise fun and stimulating toy.
Follow-up commentary 9 months after original review
We haven't bought a bullet yet to use with the web, but we still like the web itself and will use it when we do have a functional bullet to use with it.
