Big Ben is a vibrating love ring made by LoveHoney which is meant to be used by men or in partner situations. It is meant to slide onto the man's penis and contains a bullet to allow added stimulation to both the penis and to the man's partner in couples situations. Rings like these are great because unlike so many toys made specifically for women, this toy is designed to stimulate women too, but also men!

This toy is made out of TPR Silicone. This means a couple of things. First of all, it is not that high on the safety scale, but for me, that wasn't an issue. Because of the silicone in this toy, you will want to store it away from silicone lubes which may leak or other silicone toys, because when silicone meets silicone it is not love at first sight! You may love this toy, but other silicone toys may become jealous and it will degrade the materials of this toy. We wouldn't want that, now would we?

Something else to be aware of is that not all lubricants work well with this toy. You will want to make sure that whatever your favorite lubricant of choice is, it is water based only. This is the safest lubricant to use with this toy which will not cause the materials to break down.

As for the feel of the toy, most parts of it are smooth and feel somewhat rubber-like to me. There were some bumps and nubs on the toy, which did bother me a tiny bit while wearing when it was pressed against my body at some point. For the most part, they only added stimulation to my partner!

This toy is designed with a round band which goes over the penis, and a loop setting on top which is where you slide the bullet in. The color looks more purple on the product page but in real life it looks more pinkish purple to me. This did not bother me, but not all men would appreciate this color. It provides 3 different pulses which allow for different levels of stimulation.

Product page confirms an unstretched diameter of 3/4" for the toy, but I did not find that it was 3" stretched, no matter how much my partner tried to stretch it out for me to measure. We even put it on one of our dildos that was 3" around and it did slide on with lube, but it was an extremely tight fit and would probably hurt to slide on. I'd say this is more of a 2.5" around stretched out toy. It fit us both perfectly, but larger men may not be accommodated by this toy.

This toy isn't really made to be discreet, and neither is the packaging! I suppose you could convince your grandma it's a trendy new ring like the ring pop only it just vibrates instead of tastes like candy?

The operation of this toy is very simple. You slide the "O" ring onto the penis and press the button to turn on the bullet. The bullet lasts about 90 minutes at a time, but has changeable batteries. To change the batteries you will need 3 LR 44 batteries, which are also easy to insert. You simply unscrew the side of the bullet opposite of the push button, place them in as guided, and then screw the top back on tightly. The bullet fits nicely into the slot allotted for it, and doesn't fall out during use. The bullet coming out was one of my biggest concerns.

The ring is reusable but you have to replace the batteries. The product page says that this toy lasts for 90 minutes. I did not put this to the test, but it lived up to a few sessions, each roughly 30 minutes or so, so I'd say this is accurate. I have not had to change the batteries yet!

To clean the toy after use, you will want to use warm water and a mild soap, or toy cleaner. Cleaning before and after use is recommended. This toy is waterproof, so you may submerge it in the water to clean it as long as the battery compartment is tightly closed.

This toy can not be sterilized, so if you plan to share this toy you may want to wear a condom. I store mine in a plastic bag after it is fully dry, and place it in a toy box we have.

My partner and I both fully enjoy using the Big Ben love ring, but I did rate this toy 4 out of 5 because although it does add something to the bedroom, the vibrations aren't as strong as I would've liked. They are more buzzy than rumbly, which is good, but they just don't have the power to back it up. On the other hand it is also a quiet toy. It doesn't accommodate all sizes. This was not an issue for us, but we both agreed that we felt it should be docked for this as well.

Overall, it was a great first love ring, but we plan to get a more expensive one next time, which may be more powerful.
