Bong-No

With the bar set rather high from our first cock ring experience (Double-Rock Ring), we had expectations that this would perform just as well. But due to the "mosquito" like vibe and the gold ball that added nothing to the experience, this toy will be sent to the dark depths of our toy drawer never to see the light of day again.

Use

This vibrating cock ring is best used for hands free stimulation for both you and your partner. Because of the stretchiness of the material, it is one size fits all and ideal for beginners. Personally I found it no different in size and style of most cock rings, so because of the added vibration and the "Up/Down" clitoral stimulator I think female partners would benefit more from this toy. In regards to advanced users, there is nothing new or spectacular about this toy. I would leave this one for the beginners who are getting introduced to vibrating cock rings for the first time.

Material / Texture

This particular cock ring is made from jelly material which is odorless. It is very soft to the touch and extremely stretchy. There are textured nubs located on the clitoral stimulator as well as on the ring itself. I found that this ring was very comfortable to wear and that it was hardly noticeable. Unfortunately the softness of the material was its downfall because the texture of the nubs and the ring itself was "hardly noticeable".

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

The bongo ring tries to separate itself from the standard cock ring by using two design differences: 1.An "Up/Down" clitoral stimulator as oppose to the usual "Side to Side" bullet. 2.A gold plated ball that hangs from the bottom of the ring for "added stimulation"

It is successful when it comes to the vibrator, as it is easier to place against my wife for added clitoral stimulation during sex. The vibrator (which can easily be removed from the top of the ring) runs on 3 watch size batteries which claim to have about an hour of two of battery life. The "Up/Down" type of vibrator placement is more difficult to find on cock rings, but seems to be more effective. Why they don't make more in this style, I have no idea.

As for the "Bongo Ball" it is about the size and weight of a marble and suspended off the bottom of the ring with a piece of the jelly material. It is meant to stimulate the perineum as you thrust against your partner, but we found no added pleasure, stimulation, or feeling from it (even when we tried anally inserting it). This was a big disappointment.

Being average size and average girth, I found the ring easy to put on and take off and extremely comfortable to wear. It was that comfortability that made me forget I was even wearing it. The ring goes over the shaft of the penis, but if you wanted to or if you're less endowed, you could stretch it over your balls as well with no problem. Well endowed guys should have no problems with this ring due to the extreme stretchiness that can be achieved by the jelly material.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrator located at the top of the ring is very small and runs at one speed. It is almost totally encased in the jelly material. The manufacturer claims it is waterproof, but because it's not fully encased I wouldn't risk it. While the vibe did stimulate my wife, she found that it had the sound and intensity of an "annoying mosquito". This was a rather big turn off because the noise of the vibrator became more annoying the longer we had to listen to it.

This is definitely not a discreet vibrator. The loudness of the mosquito-like whine could be heard through the covers and throughout our house. Fortunately we were the only ones home at the time, because questions would have been asked as to what that sound was if we weren't.

The vibrator could be changed out for a different one in your repertoire, but because we couldn't even feel much of the ring you may be better of just switching to a different cock ring altogether.
    • Easy to use
    • Not very stimulating

Care and Maintenance

Since this toy is made of a jelly material, it can't be boiled like silicone toys. It also can not be sanitized, so sharing with someone else is out of the question. After use, remove the vibrator then wash with warm water and a mild soap or toy cleaner. Store it in a cool dark place. I'd also recommend wrapping it in something to protect it as the material can attract hair and dirt. This will also protect it from making contact with other jelly toys which could in turn ruin it.
    • Easy to clean

Packaging

The toy was packaged on a blister card with the words: "BongO Cock Ring" across the front, along with a picture of a large breasted woman. This, of course, was not discreet at all. There were no instructions included, but it's pretty self-explanatory on how to use it.

Personal comments

Because of our enjoyable experience with the Double Rock Ring (SE184000), we were really excited to try this one. The placement of the vibrator, the stimulation ball, the softness of the material all lead us to believe that this product was gonna be something special and were the main factors into selecting this product. But there were many flaws to the design: The weakness of the vibe, the lack of stimulation from the ball (even when anally inserted), and the material's softness causing the product to be barely noticeable. I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere for a product more worthwhile than this one.
Follow-up commentary
Even after trying the product a few more times, we still don't like it. The "pleasure ball" provides nothing at all, and the vibrator is still too loud and mosquito-like, to be anything but distracting. Definitely do yourself a favor and pass on this one, you'll be glad you did.

I really don't know why manufacturers sometimes put dangling stuff under their cock rings. The orientation of the vibe does look like it would work better. Lame that this just didn't perform. Thanks for the great review.
